I’m a payroll professional with a love of romance. I read anything and everything – especially during the dreary winter days here in Northeast Indiana.
When and Why did you start to write?
Being an avid reader for as long as I can remember I always wondered if I could write my own book. Back in high school (too many years ago to mention) my two best friends and I made started writing a story told through diary-type entries where we were dating rockstars or our secret crushes. In 2012 one of my friends told me she had been adding to the story and she had found this writing competition called NaNoWriMo. I thought it was a great idea so I signed up too. Somehow, I wrote 50K words that November and after a lot of editing I published Saving Cassie in late 2013.
What authors do you always read or suggest to others?
There are so many authors that I read that I could never list them all so here are a few of my favorites: Stephen King for his storytelling and how he can pull you into a story, Jade C. Jamison for she is the queen of the rock-n-roll romance, and Allie Juliette Mousseau because her books are hot!
What is the most surprising thing you have found out with the writing process?
It’s a harder than I thought it would be. And the editing… ugh! But I love putting the stories in my head out into the world.
What are you working on now?
I am currently going through edits on Ragan’s Song and Invisible with my new publisher. Very time consuming but oh so worth it. I am also working on about three other projects that I hope to have published this year. Fate Stepped In ~ Fairfield Corners Book 3, Just One Look – Ground Zero Rock And Roll Love Stories #1, and a story that may turn into a duet – Love On The Double.
When writing are you a pantser or plotter?
I am a pantser all the way. I’ve tried plotting but it just doesn’t work for me.
