#WOTR – #Review – The True Death by R.K. Gleason

The True Death (The True Death Series, #1)

Headed for some well-deserved shore leave, Shepard is gunned down in the streets of Seattle, a victim of “a mugging gone stupid”. He awakens, not in a hospital bed, but in the surreal world of Purgatory.

Within seconds of his arrival, he is saved from a gruesome and painful end, by his new best friend Horace. That’s Quintus Horatius Flaccus, the philosopher, to you Roman history buffs. Horace explains to Shepard the cold, hard rules for surviving in Purgatory. More than just the walls have ears, and he’s not sure how long Shepard will last.

Goodreads

This is a sensationally twisted roller coaster in Purgatory! I loved every page of this story. It is full of…..IT….of everything! I often found myself laughing out loud, literally, and reading passages to my husband (and he is NOT a reader) and he would laugh along or ask me “what the hell are you reading?”  because he couldn’t believe the things that were coming out of this story (in the best possible way). By the way, I could totally picture The True Death as a movie. When Shephard dies he ends up in Purgatory and Horace finds him and gives him a quick rundown of the rules as to not end in a true death. As with people in the living realm, there are jickholes in Purgatory. Horace, with the help of Matthew, have made it their purpose to help those who end up in Purgatory so they can live in peace and not end up with a true death. Shepard takes on this role when Horace saves him. As the story continues these two just can’t stay out of trouble. They are definitely trouble magnets, haha! They ultimately get their noses put in places that they probably shouldn’t be and the real villain makes himself known. This story gets under your skin! It’s gory, it’s freaking hilarious, and wrong on so many levels, LOL! It’s one of those trainwreck type things that you just can’t get enough of. You have to turn the page and find out what is going to happen and just when you think things can’t get any more screwed up….well, they do. Even in the worst situations Horace and Shepard try to make things light and are still going back and forth with their witty banter. This is an absolute, don’t screw yourself over, must read! I am thankful that I found RK a little late as there are plenty in the series that are out. I can’t wait to see what other types of crazy shenanigans these two are capable of getting into…these trouble magnets will absolutely keep you on your toes! Bravo, RK Gleason! You have a new fan!

R.K. Gleason

R.K. Gleason was born in Grand Island, Nebraska in 196-something. He grew up, and spent most of his adult life living in Seattle. In late 1999, he met the love of his life, left his home in Seattle and moved to Ohio. Currently, R.K. lives in Columbus, Ohio with his best friend, and gorgeous wife, Petra. They have four children, currently two grandchildren, and ABSOLTELY no pets.

While R.K. grew up with a naturally vivid imagination, although his friends might argue some of it was self-induced, he seldom put his thoughts to paper. At the age of forty-eight, after the inspiration came to him in a dream, he began his first novel. On that day, The Truth Death and The Michele Shepard Series came to life.

#Review – Shade (Oracle of Senders, #1) by Mere Joyce

Shade (Oracle of Senders, #1)

Fourteen-year-old Callum Silver sees dead people. It’s not a gift. His family thinks he’s crazy. Sometimes he thinks he’s crazy. He has no friends. He’s forced to live his life surrounded by nothing but the searing pain, sickening smells and desperate moans that accompany the murdered ghosts who seek him out.

When he’s offered a place at Camp Wanagi, the ten weeks in the French countryside isn’t a vacation, it’s a lifeline. A way to meet others like himself and prove his ability can offer more than years of loneliness and expensive therapy bills.

Run by a mysterious group known as the Oracle of Senders, Camp Wanagi brings together teens from around the globe who all possess the unique ability to see the dead. While Cal is relieved to find others like him, he learns quickly that not everybody experiences the spirits as he does. Some of the campers revere their abilities and don’t understand his hesitation, while others—like quiet bookworm Meander Rhoades—have good reason for wishing they could get rid of their ‘gifts’.

While researching their final project, Cal and Meander find an unmarked grave which reveals aspects of their abilities neither knew existed, forcing Cal to decide if the torture of seeing ghosts is worthwhile and, more importantly, if being a part of the Oracle of Senders is necessary, dangerous…or both.

Goodreads

“I see dead people”….One of the best lines ever! In this case, Callum, doesn’t feel like this is the best thing to happen to him.

First, I love this book and can’t wait for the next installment. Second, Cal is such a relatable character, of course he would be if you could see dead people too…or can you? Third, the supporting characters and the world building are perfect!

This is a YA paranormal story. Cal is the main character and sees dead people. But he sees only those who have been murdered. They have an interestingly difficult effect on him. Everyone thinks he’s crazy, his family has dumped tons of time into therapy, but with an offer from Camp Wanagi he may be able to put some of this to rest. He doesn’t get much info on what Camp Wanagi is all about and it is run by a secret organization but he has high hopes of trying to find someone like him or to shed some light on why he sees the dead. This story follows Cal and a group of 14 year olds that all have special abilities with spirits of all sorts. Each person’s ability is different and some of the others feel that it is a gift while others feel it is a curse. The summer for all the campers is quite the experience for all of them. As they hone in their abilities and the spirits come forth, they find that they all need each other more than they realized. This is an incredible story watching the campers changing. No, transforming into the young adults they want to be.

I can’t tell you how good this book is as I just can’t get the words right. Mere Joyce is a new author for me and I am hooked. I can’t wait to check Mere’s other books and I can’t wait for the next installment in this series!

#Review – Hunter (Standalone in A Vampire’s Thirst #8) by Bella Roccaforte

Hunter (A Vampire's Thirst #8)

A Vampire’s Thirst: Dark, Dangerous and Undeniable. A stand-alone HEA

Hunter Webb, an ancient Viking Vampire wants one thing: to be with his one true love…an impossibility seeing as he is refused entry to Valhalla for being a Vampire. Instead he’s dedicated his life to finding a “cure” for vampirism so that he may die in battle as a human and feast in the hall among the gods and find the other half of his heart.

While working in the lab he is struck down by a mysterious illness that shakes the very foundation of his entire existence. The desire to feed ALL of his urges drives him to the edge of insanity. After thousands of years of control, his craving for warm blood and hot sex take over all of his reason…until a tiny vial of blood changes everything. One taste and he remembers what it’s like to feel, hope and live again.

Now he must find the owner of the blood or they will both be in grave danger. Will Hunter find his bloodmate before they both lose themselves to the Thirst?

The hunt is on, the battle fierce…only the strong survive a Vampire’s Thirst.

Goodreads

Ok, here is ALL you need to know about this book. It’s A MUST READ! I have to tell you that sometimes books with insta-love push me the wrong way. Sometimes it feels that two people (or vampires, shifters, etc) see each other and boom….they are having their way with each other the entire book. NOT THIS ONE! Hunter and Rook are the love interests in this story. Hunter was a Viking from the old world who found his true love. He is now a vampire and has lived many, many years without his love. He is constantly researching a cure for vampirism. He wants to go down in battle with a win and be with his one true love again. We also meet Rook. She left her small town to go to New Orleans. She never really felt that she belonged back home. She can’t be scented by supernaturals and is found to be an asset on gaining information for the Directive. The Directive basically polices the supernatural community and things are going down. Rook is in trouble and everyone warns her to leave the area. While Hunter is diligently working on a cure he finds that he can’t satiate this hunger and the intense sex drive he has and starts feeling like he is going crazy. This is as much of a book report that I can give you, haha! The back story and the additional characters that are in this particular story give it a ton of depth with the characters that really make you want to root for the insta-love that these stories bring. By the time these two finally find each other there is so much intensity building that when they do meet, their worlds collide with a bang! And then their intricate web continues to be woven.  These two are one of my new favorite book couples. I can only imagine what kind of shenanigans they got into before they meet or even further past this book. Loving me some Hunter and Rook!!

#NewRelease – #Review – The Sphinx by Jessica Cage

The Sphinx

Some stories are told, others are not, the best ones are reimagined.

Stories are told of the sphinx—a monster with the head of a woman, the body of a lioness, the wings of an eagle, and a tail tipped with the head of a serpent. This beast was told to have been made to guard the entrance to the Greek city of Thebes. For each traveler to cross her path, a riddle was presented. If they could answer it correctly, access would be granted. What was her riddle?
“What is the creature that walks on four legs in the morning, two legs at noon, and three in the evening?” The price to pay for answering the riddle incorrectly, which of course they all did, was not a simple denial of entry to Thebes. Instead of turning them away, the sphinx, monster that was, strangled them with her tail and devoured them whole.
The story goes that when it finally came to pass that someone could answer her riddle and the consecutive ones to follow, she committed suicide. What else was a girl to do? Some say she threw herself down from the high rocks and fell to her death, while others say that she devoured herself, subjecting herself to the same punishment she dished out to all those who had failed before, a talented feat.
However, the question remains … what really happened to her?

Goodreads

This has it all! Greek Gods, Sirens, Vampires, Shifters….all things paranormal! LOVED this book! As you read in the description this is about the Sphinx and what really happened to her when she dies. As all stories are told over the years they change, just like the game of telephone that we all grew up with. Asa is our main character here. She was, or still is, the Sphinx. She was cursed to be the Sphinx when she denied the God of War, Ares. She was bound to be cursed forever but she found her loophole and went into hiding. She continues to hide and plot just waiting for the day that she faces Ares again. She is out for the ultimate revenge….but come to find out that she may not be the only one that is out for revenge (not telling you who!!!!) She has lived a lonely life preparing for the moment that she can seek her revenge but there are always speed bumps as she has been living in isolation for so long. I believe Asa meets her match with Carter! When the two of them meet the sparks fly! They are attracted to each other but they both have wicked trust issues. As the story unfolds and truths are revealed they are going to have to decide if revenge is worth it or if they can survive….together. This has the perfect mix of paranormal mixed into the retellings of Greek history. Action packed with a love story! Jessica Cage is a new author to me and I look forward to reading more of her stories. This is definitely an intriguing page turner. You won’t want to miss The Sphinx!

#Review – Victor (A Vampire’s Thirst #1) by A.K. Michaels

Victor (A Vampire's Thirst, #1)

A Vampire’s Thirst: Dark, Dangerous, and Undeniable!

Victor Strong, ancient Vampire and hard-as-nails businessman, has enjoyed centuries in the human world by following one simple rule: Keep a steely control over your dark side. Then it comes, like a thief in the night, overtaking him mind, body, and soul… a strange, unexplainable ‘Thirst’ that not even he could deny.

With the craving for blood, and other darker, more enticing desires, rapidly growing out of control, Victor suddenly fears not only for his sanity, but his very life.

Holding on by a thin, unraveling thread, Victor is pulled from the brink of madness by a sweet, tantalizing aroma. So hypnotized by the scent, he is forced to find its owner, compelled to find the most elusive of all things; a mere myth among his kind. The Vampire’s Bloods-Mate.

Can he reach her in time? Can she save him from himself? Or will Victor be lost to his dark side forever?

The hunt is on. The battle fierce. Only the strongest survive A Vampire’s Thirst!

Book 1 in A K Michaels’ brand new series A Vampire’s Thirst full of hot as hades alpha males in this smoking paranormal romance story.

Goodreads

Yes please! Vampires and shifters (all kinds of shifters) with suspense and full of hotness… need I say more? In this world people know of the supernatural society. It is not flaunted by any means but it is not secret. Victor is a strong and wealthy business man. He is in the middle of making deals and what not when this insatiable thirst for fresh blood and sex consumes him. He has no idea why this is so strong. There is a scent that he picks up on and that is how he finds Kimber. He smells her but cannot find her. She is the scent that is pulling him into this madness. One thing that he does not know is that Kimber is a dragon shifter who is being hunted. As fate will have it, Victor saves Kimber but she is reluctant to stay. They are both incredibly drawn to each other and they have this insta-love that blood mates have.

I am crazy about my paranormal and love vampires and shifters. The story was well written and tons of chemistry between the two. They NEED each other. The one thing that I didn’t particularly like was that they “met” very near the beginning of the story. The back story of the two finding each other felt a tad rushed but the intense love they feel for each other completely make up for it. The majority of the story was more about them getting to know each other (wags eyebrows*) and when our evil villain finally comes forward I was surprised by this particular villain and very surprised about who really helps Victor and Kimber in the end. Again, the ending felt a little rushed as well. But overall, Victor’s and Kimber’s story of love and the will to fight for it was super heartwarming. This is a first of AK Michaels’ books for me but won’t be the last. I am looking forward to others in this series.

#WOTR – #Review – Curse of the Raven (The Union Series #5) Shawn Reilly

Curse of the Raven (The Union Series #5)

In the wake of the battle with the Gothi, Elle is struggling. Insecurity and chaos have taken a toll on her, and her heart longs for just a few moments of uninterrupted peace with the man she loves. When, once again, the Lakes are faced with even more trials and tribulations, she comes to the realization that in her own despair—completely unaware of doing so, she has left her man in doubt. And yet, even when she resolves to assure him of her feelings she fears her ex-boyfriend’s memories, which are stuck in his head, may rise to the surface.
Asher Lake sets out on a mission to find his predecessor Grant—who exists in his wolf form in the woods of Brokenridge, all the while knowing that there is no answer to the Raven’s curse on his own life—at least none he will accept. Knowing that his end is imminent he resigns to fate. The only thing he has to do in the meantime—other than continuing to strengthen his position as leader to the Union and keeping his family in line, is convince the woman he’s willing to sacrifice everything for of just how much he cares. However, even when his adversaries continue to haunt him and more and more questions rise up to torment him, his true quandary lies in this—knowing just how to go about popping the question…again.

Goodreads

I can’t get enough of the Union Series!!! All the trials and tribulations, twists and turns, and most importantly the stolen moments while living life to the fullest really sets this series apart from others. This is book 5 in this series and it continues to grow with new characters and crazy plot twists. I am not sure how the author dreamt this stuff up but the series has kept me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning and this installment holds true. The entire story is told from all of the characters points of view. Some people don’t care for this but the author does it in a way that we know what each character is feeling and what each one is going through. The characters are so real that you can’t help but want to help them fight or give them a hug when they are down. They continue to fight the good fight but continue to uncover new secrets that always put a kink in things. I feel like they are getting sooooooo close to Grant (they have even talked to him!!!) and trying to get the curse put to rest.  Asher is taking the time to get closer to Elle and trying to get some alone time but some of those moments continue to get stolen with all the chaos that comes with being Keeper. I am worried for Asher though as I sometimes get the feeling that he is done fighting but at other times I know he won’t give up. He is a tough cookie to figure out sometimes, but hey, that’s why I love him, haha! I thoroughly enjoy how this story ends but I am sitting on pins and needles to start reading book 6. My only hope is that by the time I am finished with 6 that 7 will be out. Crossing fingers!!!

When it seemed like I was only an F away from flunking out of the sixth grade, a retired schoolteacher took me under her wing. After some tutoring and testing, she informed my parents that the reason I was having trouble in school wasn’t that I was dumb but instead dyslexic. When my stepfather heard this, he decided to take me to a used bookstore with the belief that the best way to improve my reading skills was to read. Some of the books were hard to get through at first, but with his encouragement, I refused to give up. We made many trips to that bookstore, and I especially loved the science fiction and fantasy sections. Then one day, after complaining about the ending of a particular book, my stepfather told me that if I didn’t like the books that I had been reading, then to write one myself—so I did.

My first attempt resulted in a horribly written western when I was fourteen, staring a cocky gun-slinging cowboy by the name Curt Calhoun. Curt along with his seven brothers, who all shared C names in common, may never have seen the pages of a book, but that was the day I started writing, and never stopped.

#Review – CHANCE (Cyn City Cyborgs #1) by Pearl Foxx

CHANCE (Cyn City Cyborgs Book 1)

Cyn City is crumbling beneath the weight of water and wealth. Old New York is drowning, while Cyn City is building right over it’s crumbling bones. Ocean swells threaten the massive wall holding back the tides, In the skycity transhumanism means implants and virtual reality, but down in the lower depths where rats and mold rule, cyborgs are a hackjob of nuts and bolts, cynked together for strength, not beauty.

Chance has fought his entire life, first for survival in the streets of Cyn City and later for money and prestige in the underground Cyborg Fight League. After losing the love of his life to Rhumitisin, he never thought he’d find love again. Death closes in fast in the Cyborg Slums, and Chance doesn’t even care until he meets a woman who can see past the metal arm on his left side.

Verity has left behind everything she knows to start a new life in Cyn City. But her Ecovangalit upbringing has left her unprepared for the hard realities of life amongst the Cyborgs. When a dangerous man everyone tells her to stay away from proves to be the only person she can trust, can she lower her walls enough to let him in?

When Verity finds herself in debt to the wrong kind of man who will sell her body as fast as he will sell her soul, Chance is the only one who can clear her ledger, but only if he’ll fight in the Cyborg Fight Circuit again, which means killing for the woman he just might love enough to risk his life for.

Each book in the series is fully stand alone and can be read in any order.

Book One: Chance
Book Two: Enver
More To Be Announced!

Note to Readers: This science fiction cyborg dystopian romance series contains lots of action, alpha males, fierce women, and steamy romance. If you love bad boys who love as hard as they fight, then this series is for you! Guaranteed happily-ever-afters with no cliffhangers.

Goodreads

Oh holy hawtness! “Temptation, thy name is cyborg”. Chance is that cyborg. Chance was a normal man and sacrificed himself for the woman he loved. But now she is gone. Chance didn’t have a chance for a long time and was very angry. He in turn made a name for himself on the Cyborg Fight Circuit. Since then he has stopped fighting and mainly organizes and collects on the fights. Being that we are in Cyn City there is always someone that runs thinsg and people to be paid off. Verity comes from a commune where the men can take several wives and if they aren’t wanted the women are sent off for other jobs. Verity can’t take it and runs away to Cyn City. She ends up getting a waitress job at the Ball & Joint, also where Chance works. She is spunky and strong but doesn’t know the ins and outs of Cyn City. For some reason Chance can’t keep from watching her. When she pushes off the advances of a handsy drunk cyborg she ends up in a bad situation and Chance comes to the rescue but not until after she takes care of most of it herself. At this point Verity just ends up being a magnet for trouble. She goes to her boss and ends up owing him more than she bargained for. All in the midst of the madness her friend from the commune ends up on her doorstep banged up and bruised up. Chance is their only chance for survival and both of their lives and souls are on the line. Verity can’t imagine that someone like Chance, who everyone told her to stay away from because he is dangerous, would want to be with her. Chance can’t imagine that someone like Verity, so pure and whole, would be able to want Chance and not be turned away from him being a cyborg. This is sort of like a Beauty and the Beast without the hostage type situation, lol! Cyn City is a helluva place and totally deserves everyone’s attention. If you haven’t read Hollywood you should check it out too. It’s the prequel to this story and at the end of Chance we are set up for the next story perfectly. Love me some Cyn City!!!!

#Review – Willows in the End: Book One in the Thrilling Post-Apocalyptic Dystopian Series (The End Saga – 1) by C.L. Zelle

Willows in the End: Book One in the Thrilling Post-Apocalyptic Dystopian Series (The End Saga - 1)

They’re all dead.

Now, as my own body decides whether to live or die, I replay my entire life over and over in my mind. No longer do I want it to end, something has changed in me. Somehow, through all of this, I’ve found a will to go on, even if it’s in darkness. For the first time since I’ve been alive, I want to live.

Gideon says my scars will fade with time, but they don’t bother me. As if their absence would change what happened. They’re a badge of honor, reminding me what I went through, how brave I was, and that I made it out. That I can heal. If anything, these scars remind me every day that I’m still alive, and that things can change.

And they will.

My name is Grace Anne Vincent. I took the world, the people in it, for granted. I didn’t realize how precious my life was until someone turned off the lights, stripped it away from me. Until the men with needles came. They stole it all, leaving nothing but monsters, darkness, and death in their wake.

But I’m getting stronger every day. And though Gideon has his dark side, he’s growing stronger, too. We’ll make it together. We’ll create our own light, even if it’s hidden in the darkness.

Something out there beckons me, a desperate cry of a siren from the wreckage. It tells me to survive, to have hope. To love. To make things right again.

And I will.

Holy effing what?!?! It’s an epic journey! This is definitely not what I expected. Mind bending and maddening! Be ready to be wrecked, and I mean this in the best possible way. This is a twisted ride into a new age zombie apocalypse. Grace is our main character and boy, has she had a past. This makes her extremely likeable and relatable. The setting is intense from jump. There are drugs, partying, witchcraft, and zombies…I mean, what more could you ask for? But lets be real for a moment. Grace has experienced hell growing up. She has come to terms and feels she is stronger for it.  Nothing slows down. The story is extremely action packed and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.  This is all about having your quality of life leveling up on a permanent f’ing opposite day with some giggly trips down memory lane. Grace is an amazingly flawed character that is continually growing emotionally and mentally. Gideon saved her and they have fallen in love. This author knows how to make the apocalypse romantic and STEAMY! As a matter of fact, all the characters that are introduced into this story are all fighting some sort of demon, their own apocalypse.  I was a mess reading this….but it was totally, absolutely worth it. Don’t let this discourage you. Once I hit this bump in the road the story just got better and better. I felt like I was right there and her shoes. This is an epic page turner and has made it to the top of my favorite reads. I. Can. Not. Wait. for the sequel. Bring it on! I am so ready!  I absolutely could not put this down. So many plot twists!  This series has made it to my top favorite, ever. If you like beautifully flawed characters with intense, action packed, and HAWT plots then you will love this just like I do. This author! SMH….LOL! I AM HOOKED! THIS IS MY ADDICTION!  This series is taking it to the next level.

Christina L. Rozelle is the author of the bestselling YA Dystopian Scifi series, The Treemakers Trilogy, which includes her groundbreaking debut, “The Treemakers,” and its sequels, “The Soultakers,” and “The Seeker’s Keys.” Hailed for its strong, believable, and relatable characters, original and complex plotting, and phenomenal world-building, The Treemakers Trilogy appeals to lovers of dystopian literature who are looking for something refreshing and new. Authentic, gritty, intricate, and wildly imaginative, her stories also offer hope—a light in the dark—as her characters discover their own inner strengths and worth in the midst of debilitating adversity.

Though her wanderlust calls her to a nomadic life of traveling the world in planes, trains, ships, and RVs, Christina happily resides in a small town in Texas, USA, with her four wonderful children, three rescue kitties, and a rescue puppy, where she’s blessed to be able to do what she loves every day.

#WOTR – #Review – Sacrifice of the Raven (The Union Series 4) by Shawn Reilly

Sacrifice of the Raven (The Union Series #4)

When Ari Lake, guardian to his brother the Keeper of the Union, and a Labrador Retriever in his ani-shift form, wakes from his less than favorable rescue from the Gothi, he soon learns that he is still, to a certain extent, being held captive. This time, however, it is by different captors and for solely different reasons—there is something that they wish for him to see. When his eyes are opened to the revelation of yet another enemy threat rising up to come against his brother, and a potential traitor is revealed under inadvertent conditions, heartbreak automatically ensues. Afterwards, in the shadow of a waning moon, carrying the knowledge that Asher is falling in love, all too quickly, with Elle Ison, Ari sets out to do the one thing he was born to do, and that is to protect his brother anyway he can, even when that means the possibility of sacrificing himself in order to keep Asher alive.

Asher Lake, a wolf in his ani-shift form and Keeper to the body of ani-shifts known as the Union, knows one thing; he wants Elle Ison to be more than just a sealed contract. After learning of potential dangers in the woods of Brokenridge, he sets out to find Elle and his brother Nixon, who have run off in search of answers that could end the Raven’s curse on Asher’s life—a cruse which states that if he falls in love he will die. When he finds Elle, it’s all he can do to convince her how he feels. But time and peace are items that the Lakes know little about. Soon after, not only does he suffer severe physical pain along with the heart wrenching agony of betrayal, he leads his brothers, the Circle, and the Blackbirds into battle against the Gothi. All the while hoping that Elle will accept the fact that he was chosen specifically because the Elder’s and Grant knew that he would always, gladly and wholeheartedly, sacrifice himself for the ones he loves.

Goodreads

In every sweet moment there always seems to be a knife waiting to cut. This pretty much sums up the entire book, a beautiful disaster. Every time they are making headway or going in the right direction there is another PLOT TWIST! In this story we find more enemies and find some new friends and allies. Asher is breaking down and has confessed he wants Elle. Elle confessed she wants Asher. But now they have different obstacles standing in their way. On top of this Ari is still missing but is safe. He was given the opportunity to see what was really going on and now all the brothers are smack dab in the middle again. A lot of loose ends are brought together in this story with all the proper twists and turns to get you there. The books are all very intense and this one is no different. All of the characters are fighting their own personal demons while having to fight the Gothi. Many different emotions are flying around, along with wraiths! The Lakes are taking back control of the Union and Asher, as the Keeper, is doing what the Keeper is supposed to do, lead. There are traitors and unexpected allies around every corner. Continually keeps you guessing as to what is going to happen next. This was a very exciting and suspenseful installment to the Union Series. A lot of questions get answered but I have so many more questions! I literally finished this book and started book 5 right away, which has been incredible so far. This is a series that is completely consuming. I go to bed thinking of the characters and wake up ready to find out what happens next. I am still rooting for Asher and Elle in the end! I’m biting my nails trying to figure out if they will get their happily ever after….oh and a few others too!

Shawn Reilly lives in Mt. Comfort Indiana. She has three beautiful and talented daughters, one very loving and supportive husband, and an overweight American Pitt Bull Terrier named Noah. When she’s not writing she’s spending time with her family, boating and fishing, and attending signings. She is the author of The Union series and The Children of the Alliance Trilogy. She supports those with Lupus, Fibromyalgia, and animal rescue.
