Super quick read full of the wonder of a son to his father, and the love of a father to his son. Emanuel is the son of Lucas. Emanuel’s mother died in childbirth due to heart conditions. Emanuel is ill as well but is not aware of same. His father, Lucas, has a prosthetic arm due to an incident long ago and has many secrets of his own. He is trying to secure Black Amber so that he can save his son. Valentine is Lucas’ friend that helps look after Emanuel. This is a very quick story but full of information. We get the background on the accident with Lucas’ arm and what he has to go through to procure the Black Amber to save his son. Beautiful story and very well written for such a short story. If you are looking for a fast, sweet, but eerie story than this is the one for you!

This episode has really drawn me in and is super exciting for me because we find out so much about Damian’s past. Cassie and Damian have been caught and are locked in a dungeon. Cassie’s essence has been stolen. The Cosan is not near to help. Who do we look to for help? A Necromancer, of course! The trouble that everyone gets into and the company they keep will certainly keep you on your toes. This one is another page turner that is nail biting to say the least. Dmitri, Damian’s brother plays a key role in this episode but leaves you wondering exactly what his motives are. Can he be trusted? Can Roman be stopped? What is going to happen next? The questions going through my head are endless. I am waiting on pins and needles for the next episode. I can’t wait!!

The circus and wolves!!! Yes please! Melody has had a terrible life. As soon as she hits 18 she’s out! She has very little but takes off anyway. With nothing to lose she goes to join the circus. The mysterious circus full of wonder! What’s wrong with that? Well……she soon finds out that the circus can be a cruel place. While she is trying to find her place and earn a few dollars so she can make it she ends up befriending Connor who doesn’t want any friends. I love this duo! I bet they get hot and steamy later on….just saying….or hoping, LOL!

“Because the carnival was the only glimpse of happiness during my childhood,” I admitted. “The music, the games, the shows. I was devastated when all the fun and mystery and wonder came to an end. I didn’t understand that it would be temporary, I wanted to live there and be happy forever.”

Ok, so without telling you too much about what happens…..The beginning of the story starts out with a short snippet of the werewolves. Then it immediately goes into Mel and her leaving her home and getting to the circus. I was so caught up in the circus world and Mel dealing with the crap given to her there that I almost forgot about the wolves! OMG! There were little bits here and there to remind you of the wolves but the world building was so awesome I could picture myself right beside Mel. And these crazy characters just thicken the tension like crazy! This was a quick read but totally worth it! AND…when the wolves come back to the story….WOW! Once I started I couldn’t put the book down. I had to finish. I am hooked on the harem of freaks! Can’t wait to continue the story!

The cunning and snarky Cassie is back with her Cosan and we now have a new member!!! Kayde…the witch hunter! OMG how the heck does this work out?! Well, with the addition of Kayde we get a bit more history of Cassie’s family AND we find out who the bad guy is! I love that this story is set in episodes and during Samhain because this means the story starts right back where the other ends. In this episode the bond between Cassie and her Cosan is getting stronger as she finally opens up more to each of her protectors. Definitely a slow burn but sooooo worth it! But let’s not forget the action of the story too. This story has it all and I am looking forward to the next.

“Isn’t this cozy?….So, Ryder says he can share. Damian appears to agree. The wolf looks ready to explode. And…. where’s the fun witch hunter? Doesn’t he get an opinion?”

Vampires, witches, and wolves….oh my! I know, so cliche’ right? I can’t help it! This is one of my favorite vampire series and I think with each new story I say “This is my favorite in the series”. I am not sure how the author will top this one. I really, really, really love Gage’s and Ace’s story! And this one is a slow burn. But a perfect…..slow……burn…..

In the past books we never did find out exactly how old Gage is but only know that he is old and very strong. Well guess what? We find out now! This hawt as hell drummer just happens to be in the right place at the right time to save Ace who is in the wrong place at the wrong time. She can’t seem to steer clear of trouble and when trouble is there, so is Gage. He wants nothing to do with Ace. He can’t dream of being in love with anyone. He doesn’t want to condemn the person he loves to the type of life he has had to live as a vampire and never wants to fall in love with a human that he will have to watch grow old and die. Ace is a tough female and is perfect for this story. She gives Gage a run for his money. But when both of their pasts come to a head the story really gets interesting. There are so many twists and turns and craziness that will keep you turning the pages.

Welcome to book 2 of Anna Hague’s Love Strictly Tested series. The book picks up right were the first left off except this time the story is about Emma aka “Angel’s” bff Sabrina.

Sabrina decides to do her Master Thesis on BDSM to better understand her bff and to make up to her and her husband about misjudging the lifestyle so quickly.

Poor Sabrina. I don’t think I have ever seen someone so repressed as her. She is a 30 year old woman that is basically scared of her own shadow and everything makes the woman throw up. However as she learns about the lifestyle she is introduced to Cameron Terry. We’ve met Cameron before in Angel’s book, he is Jordan Angel’s husband nemesis.

As I was saying, as she learns about the lifestyle she also learns about herself.

Hague, has done a amazing job taking a repressed woman and making her blossom into someone almost completely different fans she has done that with the help of a well written male character in Cameron. He helps Sabrina find that woman that she has hidden deep within herself.

Also, as we read about Sabrina and Cameron, we also see glimpses of Angel and Jordan and how they find out the story that she told the reporter in book 1, will come back to bite them in the butt.

After the ending that I just read i cant wait to see what happens in book 3.

Samhain is upon us and the celebration must begin. However, Cassie has run into a few supernaturals and she feels like they are hiding something from her. In the midst of these new guys being in town she is being hunted by a dark presence. Now she has to get to the bottom of this and find out who and what exactly is behind the attacks. Cassie is super snarky with some devilish thoughts and a crew of men behind her that are just as snarky and fun as she is.

“Sometimes I was restless. My aunt Gwen often said I was an old soul filled with potent blood and a hunger for mischief. I couldn’t deny it was true.”

Throughout this installment the world building is incredible. From the way everything is described you can smell autumn in the air. And the characters! They are all very different but so very likable. I could almost pair each of them with someone I know in my life. This is a quick, fast paced read with an incredible start for this series! I’m hooked!

If you don’t believe in supernatural beings or witchy things, this might change your mind. I am loving Black Magic Voodoo and am looking forward to continuing the saga!
