#Review – Heat, The Complete Series by Jade C Jamison

Heat - Complete Series

Rachel Donahue’s dream job as a financial advisor makes her all work and no play.  In fact, her only luxury is her weekly visit to the spa.  But her regular masseuse is on leave due to a skiing accident and his stand in, a guy who goes by the moniker “Spike,” is off-the-charts hot, exuding the most irresistibly sexy vibes Rachel’s ever been drawn to—reminding her that she’s a woman with needs.  How the hell can she relax like she’s supposed to when he’ll be touching her bare flesh?

She can’t…and he knows it.

One thing leads to another and she experiences her first “happy ending” massage.  She’s horrified and embarrassed, and her only salvation is that he’s not her usual masseuse.  She decides she won’t go back to the spa until her regular guy returns.  Except the next day at work, Rachel’s last appointment of the morning is a new client, Sergio Romano…a guy whose career name happens to be Spike Steel.  And the temperature has only just begun to rise…

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I-Che-Mama…this book!!!  Ok so if you haven’t read Finger Bang my first question is WHY!!  But anyway, we meet Rachel in there.  She is a riot and so I was super excited to read her surprise book from Jade.  Rachel is Blaze’s sister if you HAVE read Finger Bang.

SO Rachel is Miss Organized and On-Track-For-Success.  She is busy with her career to really notice men or give them the time of day.  When a fluke sends her scheduled life into chaos she is so confused at Spike/Sergio’s appearance into her life.

Sergio/Spike is stunned by Rachel’s intelligence and sexuality.  She is sweet but smart.  She is feisty but a soft gushy pile of goo with him.  He was excited to meet her but shocked when he met her the night before their business meeting.

This book is HAWT…I mean Fan yourself hawt from the first opening scene all the way through until the finale page.  The chemistry is OF THE CHARTS!!  I mean Jade writes steamy stuff but this might just be her steamiest yet!!!  I gotta say, I loved this serial but to be honest, I would have LOVED more from them because they have a great story line.  I loved the banter and I especially loved Rachel trying to deny their chemistry.

For years, Jade C. Jamison tried really hard to write what she thought was more “literary” fiction, but she found herself compelled to write what you read by her today–sometimes gritty, raw, realistic stories and other times humorous, light tales–but most of the stories she writes revolve around relationships and characters finding their way through life. While she doesn’t confine herself to just one genre, nor is there a nice neat label for what she writes, most of her work could be called erotic romance. Her main writing passions include rock star romance, romantic comedy, and romantic suspense.

She lives in Colorado with her husband and four children.

#WOTR #Spotlight – Melanie Jayne @ReadMelanieJayne

Melanie Jayne

Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.

I’m Melanie Jayne and I write Romance featuring older characters because Love doesn’t stop at 35. I currently have 3 contemporary series: Cameron Farms with is small town based and a little more serious, The Change Series which has an element of suspense and is fast-moving, and The Casino Nights which is based in a Las Vegas Casino and is the hottest of my series.

I live on a grain farm in Central Indiana with my long-suffering hubby and two spoiled Mastiffs, Duncan Keith and Ginger. I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up- I’d done Retail Management, Worked for a Federal Judge, done In Home Loan Closings, and been behind the scenes in a Casino. I have great stories but little passion for the positions.

I love to read, follow TMZ and adore trashy TV.

When and Why did you start to write?

I grew up telling stories. My paternal grandparents were writers so it was encouraged. In college I was told by an instructor that I had no talent so I stopped. I was 45 when a friend suggested that I try writing romance. I had some ideas so I sat down and tried to organize my thoughts. Then I started taking classes and reading books on writing. It took 5 years to publish my first book.

What authors do you always read or suggest to others?

Kit Rocha’s Beyond Series!!!! The world building is excellent. Obsessed– O’Kane for Life
Penny Reid- I’m love her Beard Series- I laugh out loud still anytime I hear the word sausage.
Damon Suede- I read Hot Head a while ago and I’m still in love with it
Kristen Ashley- I love the Queen’s Rock Chicks Series- I picture myself in the books
Skye Warren- She writes Dark and I love it
Shelly Laurenston- Shape shifters that are fun and hot
Patricia Briggs- Alpha and Omega Series. Best Werewolves Ever.

What is the most surprising thing you have found out with the writing process?

Compared to the entire business- putting the words down is one of the easiest parts. The Marketing, Publishing Schedules and Travel take up so much time. In mid-January, I am already planning for 2018.

What are you working on now?

You Always, book 2 in the Cameron Farms Trilogy will be out 1-26-17 so I’m doing last minute marketing. Best, book 3 in the Change Series is with the editor, and I’m writing book 3 in the Casino Nights series called Long Shot. Plus I’m packing for the Coastal Magic Convention in Daytona the first weekend of February and making hotel reservations for the summer signings.

When writing are you a pantser or plotter?

I’m a total Plotter. I have an outline with dialog, fashion, and music notations. I break down my writing based on the outline and instead of a word count, I use the scene breaks.

I’m not against changes coming- in my book Best, I had planned for Tye to fall in love with Holly but somehow Billie entered the scene and he fell in love with her instead. This change caused me extra work but I went where the story took me.

I have been working on an Urban Fantasy for years, currently the outline is 45 pages long. When and if I ever get the time (and the headspace) to write this dark series – I’ll be able to rock.

#Review #TwinsieForTheDayJordan – Uncensored (The Manhattanites #7) by Avery Aster

Uncensored (The Manhattanites Book 7) by [Aster, Avery]

For fans of ABC’s Revenge and VH1’s Celebrity Rehab comes UNCENSORED, a full length stand alone contemporary m/f erotic romance on how two wrongs can make a right.

(Content Warning: The detox of a wealthy heiress and an ego maniac leads to dirty talk, hate-fin’g, exhibition, bondage, jealousy, paddling, excessive wetness, forgiveness and love.)

Sobriety is in vogue this season when Debauchery magazine founder Vive Farnworth trades in her Park Avenue mansion for a halfway house. Enjoying “therapy” on a tomato farm she relearns how to live. Her focus on fruit soon ripens when a new roommate moves in. He’s dominant and challenging, and she swears his orgasm-enducing body looks familiar. Then again, her memory is one gin martini blur.

Stripped of his Olympic gold medal, Roddick “The Grunt” Beckstrong was the #1 professional tennis player in the world until a certain news outlet exposed him for doping to enhance his performance. After losing custody of his son to his ex-wife, along with sixty-five million dollars, he’s out for revenge against the owner of the tabloid that ruined his life—Debauchery.

To destroy his nemesis…he’ll entice her mind, seduce her soul and satiate her body’s lust. Then he’ll publicly humiliate her! Falling in all-consuming love along the way wasn’t part of his plan, but it happens. When Vive learns of Roddick’s motives, she ups the ante with the one thing he hadn’t obliterated, her heart. It’s a vengeance that he never saw coming. Whoever stays sober the longest may win something their fame and fortunes never gave them before—a chance at happiness.

Review by Jordan

What a fitting name for a book about Vive. She is a woman without a care except getting and staying sober. For someone who owns a magazine she lives the uncensored life until she meets Rod. Life changes in a heartbeat when she comes face to face with someone who’s life was ruined by her magazine. Story was a little short for my liking. It was a quick story and I wish there had been more, but I feel like it just focused on how the two meet. Overall not bad for a quick read.

“That was good, right?” He propped himself on an elbow. “You know I want you. But you gotta be up for this as well. All of it. Not just once, but something real.”

I wanted to say yes. I wanted to tell him that we were going to live happily ever after. Whatever I was doing right now could not continue. I’d lose all the business from the guys and Becky and I would be broke. But a little fling. I could have that, right? One night where I could feel wanted, cherished, loved.

I looked into his eyes and whispered, “I want you.”

It was the only thing I could promise right now. I knew he wanted more, but I couldn’t give him that. I could only give him right now.

His arms went rigid. “No. Not just want, not just now. Tell me this is more than just a quick fuck for you. Tell me you want more, or I’m going to stop.” His eyes were steel as they searched mine.

#WOTR #Spotlights – Suzan Tisdale @suzantisdale

Suzan Tisdale

Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.

Suzan Tisdale. I am a USA Today Bestselling author, with more than 15 published titles and more than 350,000 copies sold around the world. My books have been translated into four foreign languages. They are also available in paperback and audio book.

I write 14th century Scottish Historical Romance: men in kilts, with broadswords, strong heroines, and bad guys I kill off in delightful ways. I’ve also written an 18th century Italian Georgian novel about a king and his courtesan.

When and Why did you start to write?

I’ve been writing since childhood. But in 2011, I wanted to give my mom a Kindle for her birthday. I thought it would be a hoot if when she turned it on for the first time, something I had written was on it. I started writing Laiden’s Daughter. I published it in December of 2011, thinking no one was ever going to read it. It was, after all, just a simple book for my mom. By February of 2012, it was #3 on Amazon’s Top 100 list in three categories. I haven’t looked back since!

What authors do you always read or suggest to others?

That is a long list! Tanya Anne Crosby, Kathryn Le Veque, Kathryn Lynn Davis, Glynnis Campbell, Lucinda Brandt, Amanda Forester, Carmen Caine, Laurin Wittig… it’s a long list!

What is the most surprising thing you have found out with the writing process?

That it is an eighteen hour a day, seven day a week job. Sometimes, it feels like a baptism by fire. But I’ve also made the best of friends with indie authors.

What are you working on now?

The Bowie Bride. It is book two in my Mackintoshes and McLarens series.

When writing are you a pantser or plotter?

I used to be a pantster. Now I am a plotter.

My world changed when I met Bellamy Morgan.
Just one problem — she’s my little sister’s best friend.

synopsis

I’m not “damaged.” No horrible childhood or demons in my past I’m trying to outrun. In fact, my family is ideal — funny, supportive and filled with couples that all follow “our” golden rule:

Find her. Protect her. Love only her, with everything you are, every day, for the rest of your life.

So why is it the mere thought of a monogamous relationship, more than one night with the same woman, sends me bolting in the other direction?

Because I hadn’t met Bellamy Morgan yet.

When I do cross paths with her, everything starts to slowly make sense. Why men change overnight — suddenly blind to all women but her, happy to hold her purse and watch corny movies.

Just one problem — she’s my little sister’s best friend.

Embody is a spin-off, STANDALONE novel from the bestselling Evolve Series.

excerpt

JT

Going to fucking attack her. In the nicest way possible of course, but attack nonetheless.

She expects me to sit still, way over here, when I could be on her in one move? Sliding my tongue over the firm swells about to topple out of her top. Inching those little panties down her long, smooth legs to sink my face into her sweet, bare pussy.

Yeah, this isn’t gonna work for me. My baby’s smokin’ hot body is barely hidden, a few teasing strips of lace the only things standing between me and fucking nirvana. What kind of man would I be if I didn’t show her, Right. Now. How good I can make her feel?

And what has gotten into her? My sweet, shy, virginal Bellamy has gone all wildcat on me…not that I’m complaining, just wondering is all.

She knows I’m looking my fill; her cheeks flushed a beautiful, innocent pink, her chest rising and falling with her shallow breaths. God, I want her. Want to devour every single part of her, slowly the first time—memorizing all the trembles, whimpers and soft moans I know she’ll give me. Then start over, like a fucking savage—biting, sucking and tasting until she begs me inside her, never to leave.

I hear my own deep, frenzied breaths as I adjust my rock-hard cock, threatening to bust out of my zipper. Feeling the leak of pre-cum, the deep, pulling ache in my balls.

“Jefferson,” she purrs my name, uncrossing her legs only to sexily cross them again. “I see I have your undivided attention, so there’s a few things we need to discuss.”

“Do I want to eat you out? Yes.”

She gasps, as though offended, but the sheer lace betrays her, showcasing her nipples that harden into sharp little points, begging for my mouth.

Her lids droop lazily and a desire, need, matching my own shapes her raspy voice. “No, and don’t be so vulgar. We already talked about lying, so we won’t rehash that. We will, however, move on to other behaviors that need rectified. I believe in positive reinforcement and since you speak Mars and I speak Venus, we’re gonna learn to meet in the middle and speak Earth. Thus, my risqué ensemble.”

“I don’t care if we talk in Neptunish, so long as you keep wearing it. Or let me take it off you,” I practically howl, nearing my breaking point.

“The car,” she breezes right over my reasonable request and states in a no-nonsense voice. “I didn’t want it, and don’t feel comfortable having it forced upon me. Jefferson, what you need to learn is how to harness your protective, alpha instinct in a way that makes me want what you want. It’s called finesse. The fine line between turning me on so much that I can’t wait to make you happy and pissing me off so bad I want to slap you, again. Now, tell me what would be a better way to approach that type of thing next time.”

She brushes her long, auburn locks behind her shoulders, giving me an unencumbered view of her chest and beautiful, mouthwatering cleavage. And I’m supposed to think?

“Baby,” I try not to whine like a virgin with the tip already in, “I don’t know the answer. Help me out here, I’m dying.”

“Why did you insist on the car?” She may be trying to pull off “emboldened,” but her hand trembles as she lowers one thin strap of her top a few inches off her shoulder, baring just a hint of one swollen, dark pink areola. I groan in actual pain, shifting again to give my swelling cock some room to suffer.

“Because I care about you, very much, and the thought of your long bus rides with God only knows how many horny, ill-mannered men makes me crazy. With a car, you can sleep in, sit down and have a decent breakfast, toss your books in the backseat and give us more time to spend together. Time we currently spend chasing each other around town because of bus schedules, my job and miscommunication.”

That’s what you should have said, discussed with me before pulling into the dealership. Do you see the difference?”

“I see part of your nipple.” I scoot to the edge of the couch.

She shakes her head with an exasperated tsk and no, God, no…pulls the strap back up.

“Okay, I get it! Pull it back down, baby.”

“Try it. Pretend it’s yesterday and talk to me about your car idea.” She grins, thriving on my torture.

Any thought I’ve ever had about luring Bellamy out of her shell, building her comfort level to be physical with me…this is not what I had in mind. Leave it to my feisty lil’ woman to switch up the plans on me.

I begin to recite the same speech I just gave her, inserting a “please,” “whatever you want,” and “totally up to you” as often as I can. When I’ve said all I can possibly think of in a deep, sexy voice, I wait.

“Very good, babe. Remember that though next time you get some crazy idea on rearranging my life or bossing me into something. I don’t want lip service. I want mutual respect, and sexy assertion that I can’t resist, even when I’m clothed.” She dazzles me with a disarming smile…and lowers the left strap all the way down.

Fucking beautiful. Real, round, high, firm and topped with a rosy nipple of the perfect size. My chest vibrates with my approving rumble, my lips and fingers both twitching for a sample.

“Bellamy,” I warn her, feral and untamed, scooting closer, the very edge of the couch quickly disappearing.

“Stay put, Jefferson. I mean it. We’re not done. I’ll be paying the sales tax and the fee to register the car. And if things between us don’t work out, I’ll be giving it back.”

Precious. But wrong. So wrong. “The sales tax was paid as part of the deal. If paying to register it makes you happy, fine. As for the other,” I slowly inhale, weighing the consequences, and decide to go on, “I don’t want to think about us not working out.”

“I don’t either,” she smiles sweetly. Glad she agrees because not working out simply isn’t an option. “You’re quite the quick study, Jefferson.” Her hooded, jade eyes hold my gaze prisoner as she slips the right strap down over the tan slope of her shoulder. Her whole, gorgeous chest is bared to me now, skin flushing under my unwavering, lascivious stare.

My girl is stacked. If I wasn’t a “boob guy” before…I sure as hell am now.

“Baby, damn. I have to touch you,” I growl, starting to rise.

 Sarah O’Rourke’s book review
I receive this book from the author for an honest review.
What a great, spicy short story from one of my favorite authors.
This story is a sweet story about a couple who have been married for 10 years but seem to be growing apart. Abby and Whit have had a great passionate love story. They have had a few tragic things happen that would cause great duress for any marriage. Abby and Whit get help from Lucy, Abby’s younger sister, who kick starts this couple into talking in the language of love vs taking to therapists about their troubles. Although I gotta admit, I loved Lucy a lot too. Her telling her sister she will be there with a shovel to bury the body if needed had me cracking up.
If you have read any of the stories from these ladies you will know to expect humor and some hawt sexy times in the plot. Any fan of their other books will love this new story as well.

Sarah O’Rourke is the alter ego of two best friends who have taken their passion for romantic fiction and erotica to the publishing world. Born and raised in the southern United States, one lives near Louisville, KY, while the other resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Neither is ever very far from a tall glass of sweet iced tea, their dog-eared copies of Gone With the Wind, or their Steel Magnolias DVDs!

Formerly an accountant and a chemist, they are now overworked, stay-at-home moms who adore their children, their husbands…and writing about love in every way possible!

Review by Jordan

At first I thought this book was going to be another rocker book just like the many others I’ve read before. And at first it was, but then the story began to change. This wasn’t just some rocker who hooks up with a girl and falls in love. Not quite anyway… he is already married! The story touched on some harsh realities like alcoholism and drugs but didn’t stray from the story at hand between Cole and Ally. I enjoyed the way the story twisted and turned and I thought it had the best ending possible for their story. For the most part this was a light hearted romance with unexpected twists and turns.
*I was gifted this book by the author.

Noell Mosco is a 30-something-year-old who lives in Southwestern Pennsylvania, born and raised. A country girl at heart, she currently resides in Suburbia. Writing has been one of Noell’s passions since she was young, completing her first “book” at eleven. Since then, she’s always dreamed of becoming a best-selling author. Her full-time job as a physical therapist means she is compassionate, and it allows her to follow-up with her close-2nd biggest passion – traveling the world. Noell reluctantly admits to having a love of wine, though her poison of choice is generally tequila.

#review #NewRelease – Sweet Summer Love by Sierra Hill

Sweet Summer Love (The Sweetest Thing Book 3)

Logan

Everyone’s had a summer crush. One that’s etched into your memories so hard that it leaves an indelible mark, like a scar on your heart. For me, that crush is my first love, Carver Edwards. I met him at fifteen at summer camp, and for three perfect summers, he was mine. Until the blazing heat of the summer sun faded and reality crashed in. Carver went off to college, leaving me trapped in my small farming town, with no way of reaching him and a problem I needed solving.

Carver

As the senior captain of my college basketball team, all I’ve been focused on the past four years has been playing, school, getting drafted in the NBA, and steering clear of relationships. I didn’t want them. I had nothing to give another girl. I’d given it already. So, I built my rep as a player, and honed my natural ability to charm the pants off girls. It’s what I did. Who I was. Who I am.

Until March, when a lay-up during a tournament landed me in an emergency room, under the care of Logan Shaw – my first love. Of all the people I could run into, why did it have to be her? Not only did my face get split wide open, but so did the locks that held the pain I’d attempted to bury for so many years.

Now that she’s back in my life, we must face the truth and the consequences of our actions – even if it could destroy us. We must uncover the truths that have kept us shackled from moving forward. That could possibly set us free.

Goodreads

I receive this book from the author for an honest review.

SO I am not a basketball person but you go Sierra because you sure did seem to know your stuff…LOL  But really this book was a great read. It was the 3rd book in the series but you don’t need to read the other two to know what is going on.

Logan is super sweet and you love her right away. Carver…well the Douche ends up stealing your heart because of how he feels and treats Logan.  The couple meet at summer camp and have a summer camp love affair….but then it fast forwards to 5 years later.  Logan is working for a dentist and Carver is a basketball stud finishing his degree.  Well when Fate wants you to be with your person she finds a way to get the job done.    When Carver needs a dentist, guess who goes to help????  Yup you got it!!  The couple have some thigs to get through but when you are older and wiser you can make it work!!

The book is sweet but also super steamy and a bit naughty….again I say, GO Sierra!!  Who doesn’t love a dirty talking hottie??  *looks around* exactly, we love them!!

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

I have enjoyed this series. I love getting to know this basketball team. watching the chemistry explode betting Logan and Carver was wonderful.

Logan is a strong woman that overcame a lot in her life. She fell in love with a boy at summer camp. When he left for college he left her to pick up the pieces at a time in her life when she needed him the most.

Carver only had one love, Logan, but when he left for college there was no communication with her. he could never get close to another woman always comparing them to Logan. Then one game, one layup, and one elbow set his world on its side. This day he landed face to face with Logan. With seeing her his brick wall begins to fall.

I love books that tell the story through flashbacks. It gives you the back story a glimpse at a time. To see Carver and Logan as love struck kids and then to see how they grew into the people they are today was wonderful but not as great to see their relationships as adults.

This is the third book in the series but you do not have to read the others to know what was going on.  Sierra Hill did a wonderful job with this series and these guys.

Sierra Hill wrote her first full-length romance after a corporate acquisition led her to a stint of unemployment, offering her some quality writing time.

She loves writing about the fictional characters that live in her brain who constantly shout for their own love story to be told.

Sierra resides in the Pacific Northwest with her husband of twenty years and her long-haired, German Shepherd. She is currently working on her next book.

Thanks for reading and reviewing her books. Keep the passion alive!
