#WOTR18 #NewRelease #Review – Finding The Green Room (The Sutter Family Book 3) by H. D’Agostino

I’ve always known what I was meant to do… surf. I’ve spent practically every day in the water since I was six searching for the green room. This is where I met my best friend, Ryan. We’ve been inseparable for the better part of our lives. He has always ‘just a friend’, and I am ok with that.

As time passed, our friendship evolved into what I thought could be love, only to be tested. A chance to go pro, to find the green room, was right within my grasp. I had a choice to make… Ryan or the future I’d only dreamt about?

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

It’s Ryan and Jess book. They have been best friends since meeting on the beach when they were kids. These two were thick as thieves always together. That is until Jess got her big break and went to chase her dreams leaving Ryan behind. Ryan is jealous that Jess got the break that was the dream he had for himself. Can I just say that ugly green monster does not look well on Ryan.

Jess is forced to face her past and Ryan when has to return home for a wedding. My heart broke for Jess and my opinion of Ryan began to falter.  I was never happier when Ryan realized what he wanted and what he needed to do. Just like the other Sutter men it may take them a while to figure it out but when they do there is nothing that would hold them back. The only thing is it could be too late for Ryan in Jess’s eyes.

I loved seeing these two friendships grow from a young age. They truly were the best of friends. I loved seeing Jess in her element with her friends and on the waves. To see Ryan try to woo Jess was great but to see that Jess was making him work hard for it was even better.

Favorite quote just for the fact of who it came from was “I’m not worried about you. You’ll never get married. You can’t man up and go after your girl.”

#WOTR18 #Review – Finding Hawk (Branches of Emrys book 3) by Brandy L. Rivers

38531990

Armed with her father’s journal and his hawk pendant, Jacinda journeyed to Wanatoga to follow the clues to stop the evil hunting her bloodline. Before arriving at the reservation, she lands herself in a new batch of trouble.

On watch for proof of a plot to abduct and murder Others, Chatan spots a striking redhead he’s immediately drawn to. As he watches, Josephine’s goons capture and before he can make a move, she escapes and runs.

Luckily, she doesn’t run far, goes straight to the nearest Motel, that happens to be owned by his aunt. Without revealing his own secrets, he convinces her staying is the safest option and he’ll help her find what she’s looking for.

Jacinda’s escape only frustrates Josephine who hasn’t given up on capturing the powerful caster who got away.

The elders look for a way to stop the murders. An old story ties Jacinda and Chatan together while her search nears the end.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

Finding Hawk is the third book of the Branches of Emrys series. This is Jacinda and Chatan story and the mystery of Hawk and Dove.

Jacinda is on a mission to uncover the clues left behind by her father hoping to find how to stop Thanatos who is out for her family. She finds herself stopping at a diner in Saint Morton where she is kidnapped. Jacinda is able to find a way to get out of that trouble and takes refuge in a hotel; the same hotel that is owned by Chatan’s aunt.

Chatan is drawn to Jacinda who convinces her to stay and agrees to show her around while she looks for what it is her dad left her clues for.

Both Jacinda and Chatan keep their secrets close. Jacinda is afraid to stay in one spot fearful Thanatos will find her. Chatan has not felt like he belonged on the reservation or in Edenton where his dad and brothers are.

I enjoy seeing Chatan break down some of Jacinda’s walls and seeing her fall for Chanton. One of my favorite things is seeing the characters of Brandy’s other series she has a way of intertwining her characters from each series. I am so looking forward to Chasing Dove because Brandy left us on a little cliffy and I need to find out the ending of Chatan and Jacinda’s story.

A few of my favorite quotes:

Something you need to accept is that you may never find the answers. When you find love, you should hold on, no matter what. Especially if they are willing to follow you. Love you, dove. Good luck with Chatan.

Chatan already knew he was playing with fire. He couldn’t fucking well help it either. Nothing worth having wasn’t worth fighting for. And maybe she needed to be shown what he wanted.

Living in rainy Western Washington with her husband and three kids, Brandy is already working on future stories in each of the series, and several other projects.

Love knows no names—no bounds—sometimes you’re bound by destiny…

Micah’s choices and actions when he was young left him estranged from his family—the Ravage MC family. Older and wiser, it’s now one of his biggest regrets … along with pushing Emery away.

Emery has been walking a tight rope for far too long. Everything has changed. Dealing with her near death experience, her brother’s return, and her parents problems have left her feeling very lost in a world she thought she knew.
Except—sometimes when we are so lost we manage to find exactly where we should be.

Jacks didn’t mean for it to happen, but Emery slammed into him like a freight train pushing all the buttons he’d kept locked down for far too long. Jacks though, can’t get caught up in a game of who is the better man. Been there, done that, and lost in a big way.

When everything changes, destiny is all we can hold onto. Emery finds herself caught between two very different men unable to keep her heart out of the mix.
Sometimes we bleed for others—and sometimes the past, it just won’t let go.

#review – Mountain of Truth: The Revelations of Oriceran (Soul Stone Mage #3) by Sarah Noffke

36352949

The Kingdom of Virgo has lived in peace for thousands of years…until now.

Terran has gone too far, poisoning the wells and streams of Virgo. Queen Azure must act fast in order to save her people from a deadly virus that steals their magic.

Only one witch knows the cure to the virus and no one knows how to find her.

Azure and her ragtag crew set off for the Mountain of Truth in hopes of locating Mage Lenore, the oldest witch alive. They soon learn the problem isn’t finding the old witch. It’s surviving each other on the mountain.

Welcome to The Revelations of Oriceran.

A magical world tied to Earth, and nothing like it.

*NOTE: There’s cursing in this book because these witches and wizards are just rude like that. If cursing is a problem, then this might not be for you.

This story starts where The Dark Forest ends. Phillip poisons Virgo’s water to weaken the witches and warlocks and taint the crops. Queen Azure and crew finds themselves traveling to the Mountain of Truth to find Mage Lemore and the Book of Branches to save Virgo. This will not be easy as the Mountain of Truth has some of its own obstacles for the Queen and her motley crew.

Sara does a great job of introducing us to new characters. SO enjoy seeing all these characters growing and each one is gaining a place in my heart. Oh my the little unicorn is one of a kind. As always Monet adds that extra comedic relief.

Sara has a way of pulling every emotion from me while reading her books and this was no different. Now I need to read Land Of Terran to see what will happen next.

A Mafia Romance

Family meant everything.

Good, bad, right, wrong, legal, illegal—none of that mattered when it came to family. Family was and always would be number one.

Catarina Lambardoni stayed on the legal side of the family businesses by running Lambardoni Enterprises. Professionally, she was beyond successful. In her personal life, however, she was not, having just walked in on her boyfriend cheating on her.

Jag Maratelli, the boss’s right hand, worked extremely hard to sustain his position in the family and honored it with his life. When he was summoned to the East Coast for an unexpected meeting, a chance encounter with Catarina and one look into the fire within her made him a very determined man.

The chemistry between the two scorched hot, and Jag had been with enough women to know Catarina was something special, something he couldn’t allow himself to walk away from. Life had other ideas, though, when a betrayal in the family sent him two thousand miles away from her while danger lurked closer than anyone realized.

Would their connection be strong enough for both of them to pursue more?

Or would people and events from the past and present make that choice for them?

Goodreads

Amazon

I don’t read many mafia stories but this one had me hanging on needing to know what’s next. I love strong female characters and Catarina is about a fierce as they come. I also love strong take charge males and Jag is that and so much more.

Catarina Lambardoni is the daughter in one of the mob families. They are ruthless with others and loyal to their family. Mess with one you get them all. Catarina runs Lambardoni enterprises with her cousin which is one of the businesses that run on the legal side. We first meet Catarina when she takes care of her boyfriend well exboyfriend now because of his actions. She proved she didn’t need her brothers, dad or uncle to take care of things for her. She did a bang up job on the DB.

Jag Maratelli runs things for the Lambardoni’s in California when he is called to the east coast for business. While there he meets Catarina and his world is tilted. He never had a woman make him react the way Catarina did.

Can they survive with his business in California and hers on the east coast? Will his past and her families past be the death of them?

The insta-love was amazing the twists this book had kept me wanting more. The ending WOW never saw that coming. Great story line that kept me hanging on. I truly would love to hear Kiera’s story but I totally understand.

Hey, I just met you,
And this is crazy,
But you’re my mate,
So please have my baby.

Autumn Gray is part of the notorious gray coven of witches. She has been trained since birth to be the next head witch, and duty comes before all else. That means she will have to enter a marriage of convenience to a stranger—a powerful warlock. But one trip to the nightclub Hot Fur is enough to throw those plans out the window. What’s a witch to do? Choose her coven or love?

I’m in hiding.

As a bestselling BDSM author, I know all too well the danger of letting people get too close.

I’ve spent my entire life keeping people at arm’s length, until her. Kiki Smith is simply supposed to be my new cover designer, but before I know it, she starts breaking down the walls I’ve worked so hard to erect.

She’s unlike any woman I’ve ever met and before I’m even aware of what’s happening, she consumes me from the inside out.

There’s just one problem… I have a secret, and I’m afraid that once she finds out what I’m hiding, my barriers will once again slam back into place.

This is a quick little read but packed full of hotness, secrets and some laughter.

Kiki is a graphic designer who designs book covers for authors. she has a great career and a wonder family. However, because of her small family she is guarded, protective, and not willing to put her heart out there again. really she has the greatest friend a girl could want. Chaz is her BFF and he only wants the best for Kiki. He had me cracking up in this story. OMG “wet bread” What Really Chaz (i cannot even if you want to know you will have to read it).

B.Vesper is looking to cover his books and he is going to picky. He contacts Kiki to take on this project. B puts Kiki in contact with his cover model/PA Bo. Bo and Kiki end up covering more than just book covers and Bo slowly starts to bring Kiki’s walls down. When Bo reveals he is keeping a secret and has been lying to her can she forgive and learn to trust again?

I loved these people not just Bo and Kiki but also Chaz and the twins. They know how to have fun and support one another as BFF’s should. I enjoyed Bo and the BDSM aspect in this story. Seeing Kiki respond and submit to Bo was entertaining. I liked Bo and Kiki and would have enjoyed reading more of them and of course Chaz too.

#Review – PowerChain, Power House Book #1 by Chelsea Camaron and Ryan Michele

PowerHouse (Power Chain Book 1)

That was her first mistake.
She thought I was a nice guy.

Including her.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

Talk about a powerhouse team that is Ryan and Chelsea. I was blown away with this one. The plot twists were some of the best I have seen in a while.  I never saw any of them coming and just WOW great job ladies.

What is a girl to do when day goes from bad to the unthinkable?  Torryn thought losing her job was the worst thing that was going to happen to her that day until she barges into her sister’s home and finds things just got a whole lot worse. Torryn learns real fast what happens when you dismiss Onyx Blake.

Onyx is the boss who has three others at his side. They are fierce and unforgiving. They may push each other but together they are a chain that no one can break. Onyx stakes his claim to Torryn after her mistake of dismissing him. Torryn is not one to back down and will stand her ground. Only down side is that Onyx is boss and what he says goes no matter what. Torryn has a few things to learn one of which is Onyx is in charge at all times, all must listen and listen closely to him or there are consequences.

The push and pull between Onyx and Torryn is something else. The heat between these two is like an inferno. I absolutely loathed Onyx for who he was and the way he treated Torryn but by the end I my heart softened toward him. Torryn’s spunk, stubbornness and defiance won me over. I also enjoyed Dane, Pax and Garrett and cannot wait to hear their stories.  I usually am drawn to the quiet brooding guys but Pax tugs at my heart. Then ending Oh Baby I cannot wait for the next one. This book was dive in and never look up I mean really who needs food and potty breaks.

USA Today Bestselling Author Chelsea Camaron was born and raised in Coastal North Carolina. She currently resides in Southern Louisiana with her husband and two children but her heart is always Carolina day dreaming.

Chelsea always wanted to be a writer, but like most of us, let fear of the unknown grab a hold of her dream; she realized that if she was going to tell her daughter to go for her dreams, that it was time to follow her own advice.

Chelsea grew up turning wrenches alongside her father, and from that grew her love for old muscle cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles, which just so happened to inspired her ‘Daddy’s Girls’ series. Her love for reading has sparked a new love for writing and she currently has a few more projects in the works.

When she is not spending her days writing you can find her playing with her kids, attending car shows, going on motorcycle rides on the back of her husband’s Harley, snuggling down with her new favorite book or watching any movie that Vin Diesel might happen to be in.

She hates being serious and is still a big kid at heart. She is a small town country girl enjoying life and, Chelsea hopes that her readers remember not to take life too seriously and to embrace your inner five year old, because five year olds know how to enjoy the simple things in life and how to always have fun.

Kill her or don’t kill her
One job. I had one damn job: Eliminate Marcello, leave no witnesses.

I should kill her, but I can’t. Except letting her live may cost me my life.

Only one choice left. Lock her in my basement until I figure out what to do. I’ve never questioned myself before.

Until her.

She’s been Taken

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

I enjoyed House Rules and Traded but I think I liked taken even better. I have been waiting for Brock because I have a soft spot for the quite brooding ones.

Brock had one job go in take care of it and leave no loose ends. One problem he didn’t count on was her. He now has a choice to make be loyal to his family and take care of loose ends or protect her and lose everything even his life.

Isobel is known for her evil ways. However, she is a survivor and a strong willed woman. She will not back down to anyone. Isobel is one you hate then you find out why she is the way she is.

The back story on both Brock and Isobel are rough ones. The chemistry these two have is explosive. Watching Isobel and Brock show a different side was amazing to see Brock go from brooding and almost cold hearted to sweet and caring then to see Isobel’s strong willed spirt and fierceness come to the surface to take back her life and what is hers was amazing.

This was action packed and fast paced that had me sucked in needing to find out what was going to happen next. What I enjoyed was the twist I never saw coming had me on the edge. I truly cannot get enough of these men.

Rebecca Brooke grew up in the shore towns of South Jersey. Writing has always been a love for her, as well as reading. She loves to hit the beach, but always with her kindle on hand. #Review – Darkest Hour (Iron Fury MC #3) by Bella Jewel

From the second you’re born, the shaping begins.
Who you are.
Who you’ll become.
Where your life will lead.
What kind of heart you’ll have.
If you’ll be good, or bad.
From your very first breath, those around you influence everything about you.
I was influenced by the worst. By a monster. A cold hearted, soulless man.
The devil himself.
But I got away.
I started fresh.
I reshaped my broken edges to resemble something just a little normal.
Only now, my past is catching up with me.
My demons have returned.
And they’re back with a vengeance.
The only protection I have is a Motorcycle Club.
I helped them. Now they’re helping me.
With a large hit on my head, I’m hustled into the mountains with one very broody, very angry, very gorgeous biker.
He has a mission. A secret bigger than even mine.
And he wants the blood of the monster after me.
He’s been assigned to protect me.
He gets on every nerve I have left.
The tension between us is high.
And we’re stuck alone.
In the middle of the wilderness.
Things are about to get…interesting.

Bella did it again she had me flipping these pages like they were on fire. I could not put this down.

Charlie did not have a wonderful loving childhood. Losing her mother at a young age and having the devil for a father had her trusting no one. She is now running scared from her past. After she helped Iron Fury they agree to protect her. Only problem is they assign Koda to protect her.  These two are like oil and water both stubborn, strong, and refuse to let someone in.

Koda is the VP of Iron Fury MC and a brooding man who seems angry at the world. He finds himself the protector of Charlie. Both Koda and Charlie are hiding secrets from their past. Can they survive what is coming after them?

This is an action packed fast pace book that sucked me in and wouldn’t let me go. I had to know what was going to happen next at every turn of the page. My heart hurt for everything Charlie went through and for Koda’s past. I loved how strong Charlie was after everything she endured she could have broken her but she refused to give in and give up. Love how Charlie stood her ground with Koda. The tension between Koda and Charlie was unbelievable. Could Mason and Koda make a scene any hotter? I cannot wait to read who is next. I am so ready for the next one already.
