This is a quick little read but packed full of hotness, secrets and some laughter.

Kiki is a graphic designer who designs book covers for authors. she has a great career and a wonder family.  However, because of her small family she is guarded, protective, and not willing to put her heart out there again. really she has the greatest friend a girl could want. Chaz is her BFF and he only wants the best for Kiki. He had me cracking up in this story. OMG “wet bread” What Really Chaz (i cannot even if you want to know you will have to read it).

B.Vesper is looking to cover his books and he is going to picky.  He contacts Kiki to take on this project. B puts Kiki in contact with his cover model/PA Bo.  Bo and Kiki end up covering more than just book covers and Bo slowly starts to bring Kiki’s walls down. When Bo reveals he is keeping a secret and has been lying to her can she forgive and learn to trust again?

I loved these people not just Bo and Kiki but also Chaz and the twins. They know how to have fun and support one another as BFF’s should. I enjoyed Bo and the BDSM aspect in this story.  Seeing Kiki respond and submit to Bo was entertaining. I liked Bo and Kiki and would have enjoyed reading more of them and of course Chaz too.

I want to start by saying I loved this cover it is different than any of Teresa’s other books. However, it is what is beneath the cover that impressed me the most. Really how can you go wrong with a strong witch, a talking cat, and a hot as hell panther shifter…and add in one of the funniest VC Warriors you have a winner. To top this off the town is named Assjacket yes you read that right.  OK OK back to the review.

In Assjacket (LOL I just love that) a town full of shifters is a witch named Wicked (yes, Wicked Witch…I know great right) who owns a tattoo shop outside of Assjacket. She lives there with her familiar, Bruce, a head banging sarcastic talking cat. Let’s talk about her landlord for a minute (oh lord let me fan myself a minute) he is a scrumptious Panther shifter name Thorne and yeap he can be a Thorne in Wicked’s side. Anyway Wicked would love to do wicked things to Thorne but manages to keep those thoughts to herself…well and Bruce.

When trouble comes her way she finds help waltzes through her door.  All I can say is the fun loving Vampire, Steve, had me in stitches especially when you toss Bruce in that mix. I did love seeing the VC warriors and their witches in this.

The chemistry between Thorne and Wicked was electric. Wicked is such a strong character but does not over power Thorne’s.  However, Wicked keeps Thorne on his toes.  I sure hope we see more of Wicked, Thorne and of course Bruce in the future.

I do enjoy these kindle world books. To see two worlds come together to make something new is great.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

HILARIOUS!!  Seriously this book is so funny and so typical of a book by Teresa.

This story is about Wicked the awesome tattoo artist who has a run in with her hot shifter landlord.  The chemistry is totally there which is expected if you are a fan of Teresa.  You are not shocked at the sexy flirting and off the wall comedy between our characters..

So Wicked is thrown in to a lot in a brief period of time.  Her panther hottie is all about kicking the ass of vampires who enter her shop.  Good thing it’s just the VC Warriors from Teresa’s series The Protectors.  The scenes with Steve and Wicked’s cat/familiar ARE THE BEST!!  #BallLickingHumor

We also see Wicked and her gentleman caller going to dinner and hanging out with the locals.  Wicked is so confused because hottie can have anyone so why does she want her?

As with any Teresa story, the banter is amazing. The chemistry is crazy and the plot is solid!!

What does a girl do when she wants to be a lawyer but is stuck doing research when the son of Ford & Associates make you a proposition? That’s right Brock Ford will make sure she gets her dream if she agrees to be his fiancée so he can be guaranteed a slice of the firm. Well Erica Larson took the offer I mean really how hard it can be to just play pretend with one of the hot brothers.

I loved Erica she is smart quick on her feet and great at keeping Brock on his.  The attraction these two had was seen by everyone or was that a testament to how well they played their parts. Brock was always able to play it cool and get what he wanted in the courtroom but could he get Erica? Brock didn’t always play by the rules, hand holding here, a kiss there; Erica was not keen on the PDA and was quick to let Brock know his place. However, he had a way of getting her to see things his way well most of the time anyway.

The family holiday could not have been more night and day. It was a way to see how differently Brock and Erica grew up but could still see the love in each family.  The quick wit Erica had save the day more than once.  I so enjoyed all these characters they each brought something to the story. Loved that Brock did start to see that winning every case in court did not make you successful or necessarily mean you were right. Everything you do affects those around you somehow someway.

Audio Review

I believe this is one of my favorites this year. This friends to more story grabbed me pulled me in and I didn’t want to turn off the audio. The narrator was great I absolutely loved his accent and it worked perfect with Lindon McGregor.

Steph and Lindon are best friends she can count on him to listen to her boyfriend problems or just be there to hang out. Lindon decides to make a pinky promise with Steph if they are both single with they are 30 they will get married.

One of Lindon’s characteristics I loved was his since of humor and free spirit but because of these characteristics Steph had a hard time knowing if his pinky promise was real or not. There was a point where I got upset with Lindon and their friend James but Lindon has a way of making you love him. Then there is the funny side of Lindon all I can say is Island Brownglass….OMG Lindon, Lindon, Lindon.

I enjoyed this so much I will be checking out more of Karina Halle’s books. Especially the audio’s again the narration on this was great.

This is a quick read. I was able to listen to it in one day while working. The narrator and story pulled me in and made it hard to turn off.

Penny is a layer in the big city and decides to take an overdue vacation to an exclusive adult resort. She is not very adventures so going on this vacation is out of her norm.  Penny finds herself in a bit of an issue on one of her excursions and face to face with a hansom scuba diver.

Chase is an amazingly sexy man who knows what he likes and will go after it. Chase sees something in Penny and wants to show her she does have an adventurous side she just has to give in and let it show.

This is a great start to a series and I’m intrigued to read more. I enjoyed the chemistry and connection of Penny and Chase.

This series is becoming a favorite. The characters are phenomenal and the world is amazing.  All the characters have such great quirks. I love Monet his addiction to Cheetos and his one liners makes him stand out.

Azure is a strong caring leader who is quick on her feet and is great at problem solving but with growing up around Monet and Queen Mother Sari I would expect nothing less. The way she makes her own rules and doesn’t follow past way is courageous. The pixie “Buzz Buzz” oh how I enjoyed watching Azure deal with her when she created disorder in Virgo.

This world has sucked me in and I want to know so much more about it and those in it. SO excited to see what Azure does next and where this story will go.
