Today the spotlight is shining on Tammy Andresen and her Snow White inspired novella Hunting For A Lady’s Heart.

Hunting For A Lady’s Heart:

Stepping out from the trees, William caught his breath. A maiden of unearthly beauty came into view with raven hair simply tied back in a red ribbon that shimmered in the light.

Her delicate features were illuminated by the sun as was the subtle grace of her body as she reached down and plucked a mushroom from the ground. For an instant she turned to face him and he nearly caught his breath.

Large luminous grey eyes shone brightly in her near alabaster skin. Full red lips played with a small smile as she glanced around her. Though Will could feel no breeze, it was almost as though the trees danced in response as the large willows swayed around her.

A tinkling laugh like a bell fell from her lips and several birds tweeted a response. It was almost magical. Picking another mushroom, she did a little twirl as she laughed again.

Chuckling himself, Will watched as she danced and laughed, birds twittering around her. Up till that moment, Will had thought that his brother Graham’s wife, Charlotte, was the fairest maiden in all of England, but he had been wrong. This woman was fairer than Charlotte even, and her beauty drew him to her as he silently began to move through the forest toward the glen where she danced.

It was a pull unlike anything he had ever experienced. Like an actual force, it carried him closer to the opening of trees. He had no plan, no idea why he moved toward her or what he might say but he had the unmistakable need to be near her.

And then he heard it. The crunching of leaves nearby that signaled someone or something else was nearing the glen. Will froze, his eyes scanning the trees. In horror he saw another huntsman raise his bow, his arrow trained on the beautiful girl dancing amongst the willows.

The trees stilled, their branches dipping low and the other man’s eyes narrowed, his shot more difficult. But Will had a perfect view of him. Raising his bow, he released his arrow. It wasn’t a kill shot, it wasn’t meant to be, and it hit its target exactly where it was supposed to, in the thigh of the other huntsman.

The man let out a cry and fell to the ground. His maiden turned, fear filling her face as she gasped aloud.

“Randolph,” she cried, moving towards the injured man.

“My lady,” the huntsman gasped and Will raised his bow again.

“Do not move any closer to him, my lady.” Will’s voice was even as he trained the tip of his next arrow on the man’s heart. From the corner of his eye he saw her stop.

Questions & Answers with Tammy Andresen:

Q1-What fairytale did you choose for your inspiration and why?

Snow White inspired my fairy tale, not for the heroine but the hero! My story is part of My Fairfield Fairy Tale series that features four brothers. This brother is the huntsman.

Q2-What was your favorite fairytale as a child?

My favorite was The Little Mermaid. Spoiler alert, that tale will be featured in the Fairfield Fairy Tales soon!!

Q3-What is your favorite line from your book?

Asking me to pick on favorite line is like asking me to pick my favorite child!! But I’ll try!! Here goes: “I listened to you. You are my heart.” Eirwen leaned her forehead against his shoulder.

USA Today Bestselling Author, Tammy Andresen lives with her husband and three children just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. She grew up on the Seacoast of Maine, where she spent countless days dreaming up stories in blueberry fields and among the scrub pines that line the coast. Her mother loved to spin a yarn and Tammy filled many hours listening to her mother retell the classics. It was inevitable that at the age of 18, she headed off to Simmons College, where she studied English literature and education. She never left Massachusetts but some of her heart still resides in Maine and her family visits often.

#Review – BREAKING THE SEVENTH by Allie Gail

Title: Breaking the Seventh

Author: Allie Gail

Genre: New Adult Romance

Release Date: March 8, 2017

He’s hot, blue-eyed and butt naked.

Did I mention he’s naked? And I’ve never seen the guy before in my life! So why is he doing the backstroke in my neighbor’s pool?

Myles Bellamy may be a walking wet dream, but turns out he’s got the temperament of a bull shark. And yet every time I clash with the new next-door Neanderthal, I find myself fantasizing about all the dirty things he could do to me. Really dumb on my part, considering the timing…

She’s certifiably nuts.

I’m not kidding. That chick is wonkier than Willy’s chocolate factory. Between her head-banging music, smoke alarms going off during séances and the dog I’m pretty sure she trained to crap on my lawn, I’m about ready to give Leah Whitfield a piece of my mind. Or better yet, a piece of me. Because every time I catch her sunbathing in that barely-there bikini, my resolve turns to dust.

And her excuse for turning me down? Her birthday’s coming up. According to Leah’s weird and warped logic, that day is supposedly cursed.

See what I mean? I can’t even…

Without taking my eyes off the V between her thighs, I squeeze some more sunscreen into my hand and start on the other leg.

“You’re wasting your time, you know,” she murmurs.

“How so?”

“You aren’t getting into my pants, Mr. Bellamy.”

“You aren’t wearing any pants, buttercup.”

“Well, then. I was right, wasn’t I?”

Sometimes this girl is really hard to interpret.

No. Scratch sometimes. I can never figure out what she’s trying to say!

“Speaking of which – did you happen to bring over my clothes?”

“No.” My fingers wander dangerously close to the tempting hollow between her inner thigh and the edge of her swimsuit. “I left them in the dryer.”

“The dryer? What, you washed them?”

“Yes.”

“Oka-ay…that was nice of you, but you really didn’t have to do that. I had just put them on. They weren’t dirty.”

“They were when I got done with them.”

It’s all I can do to keep a straight face when her lips part in astonishment. “Come again?”

“And again,” I confess softly, a devious smile unfurling across my face.

Pushing the sunglasses up, she stares at me wide-eyed. “You didn’t.”

“I did.”

“You’re lying.”

“Am I?”

“Myles.” She gives me a slight shake of her head, as if trying to determine whether or not I’m putting her on. “What…um, exactly what did you do?”

“Well, let’s see now. There are a number of subtle illustrations I could use to describe what transpired last night. Sanding wood…debugging the hard drive…applying the hand brakes…taking a load off…”

“Are you kidding me?”

“Liquidating the inventory…”

“You cannot be serious.”

“Straining the main vein…”

“Myles!” She’s laughing now, but somehow I manage to maintain a straight face. I’ll leave it to her to decide whether or not I’m joking.

I’m not, of course.

And I’m not the least bit repentant of the fact that after she waltzed her bare ass off my property last night, I took those lacy red panties inside, wrapped them around the hard-on she produced and jacked off all over them.

I’ve decided I may just keep them.

“Did you really?” She gazes at me speculatively, and I detect a distinct flicker of interest in her eyes.

I merely smile while sliding an erroneous finger along her bikini line. By now her thighs are well oiled and I am aching – fucking aching – to slip my hand inside the swimsuit and make sure every inch of her is covered in a sheen of Hawaiian Tropic.

She tries to keep her voice neutral, but I can hear the slight catch in it when she tells me, “You’re pushing your luck there, Sparky.”

Maybe so, but I notice she hasn’t made a move to push my hand away.

“Are you gonna try and tell me you don’t hitchhike to heaven every now and then?” I prod her teasingly.

“Quite the wordsmith of pocket pinball, aren’t you?”

“I have my moments.”

“So do I. And if you really must know, I had quite the moment last night.”

“Is that right?”

“Twice, actually.”

“You don’t say.” I continue massaging her thigh, letting my index finger run along the perimeter of her bikini bottom. Almost, almost sliding underneath the fabric. Close, but not quite. “Something in particular get you all hot and bothered?”

The look she gives me is one of dewy-eyed innocence. “No more than usual. I hitchhike to heaven, as you put it, on a pretty regular basis.”

I am never going to make it to Pensacola on time.

“Dealing with a little sexual frustration, are we?” I may as well include myself in this. After all, the thought of what she would look like in the throes of a self-imposed orgasm is bringing about the most agonizing case of blue balls I’ve ever experienced.

Unable to resist, I allow my errant hand to test her boundaries a little further.

Wandering just beneath the edge of her swimsuit, I brush a fingertip lightly against the soft, delicate folds hidden beneath. Her breath hitches, eyelashes fluttering for the briefest of moments. It’s probably a good thing I’m wearing constrictive jeans – otherwise I’d be pitching one hell of an impressive tent right about now.

“You tell me. I’m not the one with the raging boner, am I?” Her gaze drops to the obvious bulge in my pants before sweeping back up to eye me with a smirk.

“Maybe not…” Leaning in closer to her, I lower my voice to a whisper. “…but I’d bet the whole fucking farm that if I moved my fingers just a fraction of an inch, they’d find one very wet and willing feline.”

Smiling sweetly, she whispers back, “As far as I know, you don’t own a farm. So if you want to keep those fingers attached to your hand, then I would suggest you take them out of my bathing suit right now, Mr. Bellamy.”

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Holy funny!!  I read the blurb and knew I needed this book!!

This story is about Lean and Miles.  Leah is a freak out over the 7th day of July.  She feels that her birthday is totally a bad day.  Now she totally has every reason to boycott her birthday but still she comes across totally nuts…but in a good way!!

Miles is her neighbor who happens to get caught with his pants down LITERALLY one night.  Miles was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed his character.  I guess you gotta be pretty awesome to handle the hot mess express of Leah!!  LOL

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

2nd change romance? YES PLEASE!!  Biker? YES PLEASE.  Not gonna give up his woman? DOUBLE YES PLEASE!!

So this book is the 4th in a series but trust me when I say you don’t need to read them all because I sure haven’t and I didn’t miss a beat.

Quinn is not a happy woman.  She is on the lookout for her husband, Jack/Ace to get him to sign the divorce papers.  Quinn is over it and wants this done already.  Ace. However is not about to let that woman go!!  Quinn is actually all tough but once she sees Ace she kinda melts a bit but I mean …come one…Who wouldn’t!!

Ace was gone but for a very specific reason and he is not going to let that woman go.  He is going to convince her that they are supposed to have a forever. I mean who doesn’t wnt to be chased by an alpha biker???  I mean come one ladies!!

I loved the story even when I wanted to slap them both in the head and just say “ADMIT THE LOVE PEOPLE!!”  LOL but we readers do love our angst!!

Quinn

After our ride, I was silently thrilled Ace brought us back to the house. Max was around, and I didn’t want to be a crappy friend who ditched her after she came all that way just to check on me.
When we walked in, Max and Ham were both there. I had no idea what to make of that, but with both the guys hanging around, I couldn’t ask. Instead, I was stuck agreeing to the invitation for us to order in pizza with them and chill.
“What on it?” Ham asked as Ace and I settled onto one of the couches.
“Pineapple,” Max responded.
Ham pinched the bridge of his nose. “Tell me you’re fuckin’ with me, babe,” he demanded.
She wasn’t. I knew this. In all our years of friendship, we’d never actually shared a pizza. It always came down to ordering two so I didn’t have to choke down the gross concoction she called pizza toppings.
“Just wait,” I warned Ham.
“What the fuck could be worse than pineapple on pizza?” Ace asked.
I looked at Max. “Tell them,” I said with a flick of my wrist, indicating she proceed.
“I like pineapple, olives, green pepper, and some kind of meat, but I’ll take whatever,” she stated, unabashed.
Ham blinked, stared at her, then blinked again. It seemed to drag out for a solid minute. Then he found the response of, “That’s the most disgusting fucking pizza order I’ve ever heard.”
“It’s good!” Max insisted.
“Toots, in what universe do pineapple and marinara go together?”
Did he just call her toots? He totally did. And it wasn’t in a funny, fifties throwback way. He just called her that by rote.
“Oh, yeah. I forgot. I also don’t get sauce on it,” Max enlightened him.
“You get sauceless, pineapple, olive, green pepper, and mystery meat pizza?” Ham verified.
“Yep.”
Ham looked at me with what seemed to be a bit of concern on his face. “Where the hell did you find her?”
I laughed. “We were roommates in college. Randomly put together freshman year.”
He looked between us, then smiled in a way I could only describe as salacious.
“Damn, I am getting a beautiful picture right now,” he said.
I didn’t inform him the actual picture wasn’t all that great. Mostly, we sat around in sweatpants studying or watching Netflix. Why all men thought women being alone together meant the clothes just disappeared, I did not know. If I had to guess, I would probably blame porn.
“Before you start picturing it, I was religious about making sure there was a sock on the door and a warning text, and Quinn heeded both every time,” Max informed him.
That was true. Max gave me as much warning as she could manage before bringing guys to our room, and I was fortunate enough to never accidentally miss any of those warnings and walk in on something I did not want to see.
“Not enough to kill the dream,” Ham muttered.
“Unless she’s held out on me, I’m pretty sure there was no lesbian experimentation either,” Ace added. I gasped and slapped his shoulder.
“Not in the room anyway,” Max muttered.
I gasped again. “Seriously? You never told me that!”
She shrugged. “It was one time at a party. A bunch of frat guys dared us to make out. Nothing special. She was a good kisser, though.”
Ham cursed in a way that made it clear her words offered a mix of pain and pleasure.
“It’s why I let her slide into second base before I shut it down,” Max went on.
“Okay!” I cut in. “How about we get back to the pizza?”
“Buzzkill,” Ham said under his breath.
“Don’t worry,” Max assured quietly, but not quietly enough, “I’ll tell you the whole story later if you’re good.”
“Baby, I can be as good as you fuckin’ want.”
Turning to Ace, I spoke soft enough the other wouldn’t hear. “I don’t think I want to eat meals with the two of them ever again.”
“Noted,” he replied, grinning at my discomfort.
Jerk.
“How insistent are you on the pineapple thing?” Ace asked then, getting Ham and Max’s attention back on us.
“Completely,” she and I both answered—her firm, me resigned.
“No way in fuck I’m eating pineapple on fuckin’ pizza with no sauce,” Ham stated. I was pretty sure that was seconded by me and Ace without asking. He went on. “Not eatin’ pineapple at all.”
“Why not?” Max asked. “It’s good for you. And guys really should.”
“Why?” I had the distinct sense I would regret the question as soon as the word left my mouth.
“Because it’s supposed to make their cum taste sweeter.”
Good Lord. I was right. I didn’t want to know.
“Can we please just order food?” I asked, my face on fire.
Max ended up with a pizza—if you could call her monstrosity that—of her own, while Ham, Ace, and I shared a classic pepperoni.
We’d all finished our meals, with only Max’s pizza having any leftovers, when Daz came striding in.
“Fuck yeah, pizza!” he exclaimed.
He flipped open the box for the extra large the guys had destroyed with only a little help from me, then moved to Max’s, looking at it for a second before asking, “What’s on this?”
We answered, and he stood there for a long moment before shrugging and taking a slice.
“You’re gonna eat that shit?” Ham asked.
“Still food. Besides, pineapple’s supposed to make your cum taste better,” he replied.
“See?” Max cried.
“We both need new friends,” I declared, and Ace laughed. “I’m only kind of joking,” I informed him.
“Think we’re stuck with the ones we’ve got,” he replied, just as Max shouted, “Bitch, you’re stuck with me!”
“So much for being able to pick your friends.”
Ace pulled me in close to his side, until I had no choice but to settle my head against his shoulder. As he did, I watched Max’s face get soft.
Maybe my best friend wasn’t so bad after all.

#Review – Master: Arrow’s Flight #3 by Casey Hays

Master: Arrow's Flight #3

First, a knife. Then a flaming arrow. Now . . . bullets that explode and destroy their intended targets with a white poison that seeps into the veins on impact.

Instant death.

They call them Eden-killers, and never before have Ian and his people been in such danger. After all, how can someone die when he’s so hard to kill?

But as Kate fights for her life, Ian prepares for a battle of his own. Eden is under siege, and the city’s only hope lies in the hands of four boys who shifted only recently. Four boys who are just as susceptible to Eden-killers as every other man from Eden.

Ian is determined to save his family, but before he can, he must learn the truth about Eden. He must face his own demons. He must come to grips with the fact that what Kate has been searching for her entire life is what he needs, too.

He must learn, for once, to let someone save him.

Master is the long awaited finale in the Arrow’s Flight series.

Goodreads

Full of love, fear, and faith! The cliffhanger we were left with was intense! But we start right where we left. Ian is scrambling to save Kate and will do anything to get her the help she needs. This is where it gets intense. There is a ton of stuff going on with an impending war and the truth coming out about Eden. Ian is going crazy trying to be in two places at once…back home and with Kate. They are welcomed with open arms in Jordan and seek the help they are searching for but what they stumble upon is a higher power. Kate and Ian are both shown a kindness by the people of Jordan and ultimately they want to help save them but they get more than they bargained for. For the most part the story is full of action with the right amount of worry, love, and fear. This is a Christian dystopian novel and sometimes the internal struggle that Ian and Kate both have with the higher power is a bit exhausting but it ties everything up perfectly at the end. Both are faced with many hard choices and challenges but with the help of new found friends, and old ones of course, they are able to move forward. The ending is not at all what I was expecting…in the slightest bit, but I think this pulls the entire series together. I am looking forward to the novellas to come so we can dip into Kate and Ian’s lives a little more. They are truly loveable characters!

#WOTR #Spotlight – Lisa Caviness @lisaCavinessWriter

Lisa Caviness

Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.

I am Lisa Caviness. With a degree in nursing I’ve worked in a variety of settings. I’ve worked in hospital patient care before moving to positions in medical policy and clinical trial management of medical devices and pharmaceuticals. I love history and learning about how people think. Physical fitness is a huge part of my life and I enjoy running, weight lifting, and a variety of other activities. I grew up in the midwest but I lived a number of years in the Boston, Massachusetts area.

When and Why did you start to write?

My writing journey began in childhood. I have always been a voracious reader and writing spawned from my love of the written word. Reading opened up new worlds for me which propelled my imagination and urged me to put all those stories into my own words.

What authors do you always read or suggest to others?

I read in a variety of genres. My favorite genre is suspense. In the romantic suspense genre some of favorite authors are: Nora Roberts, Karen Robards, Julie Garwood, and Mary Burton. In the mystery/suspense/thriller genres I read Brad Thor, Brad Meltzer, Lisa Garner, Hank Phillipi Ryan, Gillian Flynn, Dan Brown, and Daphne Du Maurier. I also enjoy young adult books. I specifically have enjoyed the Michael Vey series by Richard Paul Evans. Lastly, in the Indie world I’ve been exposed to some amazing writers. I would enthusiastically recommend Aleatha Romig, Jillian Jacobs, TC Winters, Ava Cuvay, Jeana E. Mann, Fiona Riplee, LaNora Mangano and that’s just to name a few!

What is the most surprising thing you have found out with the writing process?

Writing is really hard! There’s a huge difference between the perfect story inside my head and what comes across on paper. My challenge is to create a world on paper that’s as close to that perfect, intriguing, interesting, and compelling story inside my head.

What are you working on now?

Currently, I am editing Book 2 in my Order Series, entitled, Order of Malice. Book 3, Order of Rage, is also in the works. I’m also working on a short story for a new anthology.

When writing are you a pantser or plotter?

I’m a little of both. As a suspense writer, I find that detailed planning works best. I develop comprehensive plots, character sketches, and setting guides but during the writing process new ideas surface and the story takes a turn.

“I loved everything about Coal’s story! The drama, the violence, the sexy times!” – MJ’s Book Blog and Reviews

“Coal is worth more than five stars! I can’t wait to see what’s next in the Regulators MC series!” – Reader Review

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

AHHH Coal.  Tall. Dark. Dangerous. Those are words to describes the man who “only pays for pussy”!! The book starts right off explaining what happened to Coal to make him so damn hard.  The poor guy…

Paisley is…well….hilarious.  Quirky.  Kind. Giving.  She is the light in the world.  Her scenes were killing me.  When she comes at Coal, he has no idea what hits him.  The little Pixie knocks him off his axis in a good and much needed way.

The two meet by a chance encounter when Paisley hits Coals motorcycle.  Being the Quirky character that she is, she needs to make it right in her karma world.  Coal has no idea what to make of this fiery female but he can’t stop thinking about her.  Their dinner date=The funniest shit I have read in a long time.

No matter what is going on in their lives the pull they have to one another is full on.  The physical draw is amazing to read on paper and super fun to see come to life.  Coal needs to face his past but he doesn’t think there is anything good that can come of it.  Paisley is so sure that this man is the good she needs and the balance she desires, she will do anything to make his center corrected too.

The side plot of the bad guy who the Regulators are investigating was GROSSSSSS…lets just say I dunno that I will be eating a pulled pork sandwich for a long long looooong while.  I may pick up Paisley’s vegan diet plan!

The last few chapters I LOVED!!  IT tied up all the guys and their ol’ ladies.  We can see the Regulator MC’s futures and they look very happy.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

I have been waiting for the mysterious Coal’s story.  He is quiet, dark and mysterious what can I say I have been drawn to him from day one.  He is one you don’t want to mess with or make mad.  Then we have Paisley…oh sweet Paisley…she is the polar opposite of Coal. BUUUUTTTT you know what they say about opposites.  I absolutely loved these two watching Coal fight all that he knows and seeing Paisley well just being Paisley.

We know Coal is tough, hard, and dark so let me tell you about Paisley.  Paisley is pure flower child. She is all natural, organic, vegan. Paisley grows what food she can in a plastic pool on her patio, makes her own wine, and is big on keeping herself centered and in balance. …Get the picture.  So if Coal is tough, hard and dark Paisley is calm, soft and light.

The day Paisley meets Coal or should I say “bumps” into Coal literally her world is shifted off center and it is all she can do to make sure she shifts it back.  How is she going to do that you ask? Well she has to do something nice for Coal…aww right…yeah no…Coal is having no part of that but little miss Paisley is persistent.  Paisley finally got him to agree to allow her to fix him dinner. This was too funny remember Paisley = vegan and Coal = will eat anything that doesn’t eat him…..oh yeah made for an interesting dinner.  There were so many funny quirky scenes with Paisley I was cracking up. These two are truly yen and yang they fit together so well but you would never guess it.

Coal has a past that he has to face but refuses to. Paisley is on the case she is going to help him…uh Paisley do you realize who you are dealing with….oh that’s right no you don’t. Well she soon finds out when she is caught searching his name on the web….woopsie. But will that stop her from meddling? Guess you will have to read and find out.

I do have to say Coal summed it up best when he said “Whoever would have thought that a biker and a vegan flower child would be a match made I heaven?” Of all the Regulators books this is my favorite.  Even though Coal thought he was hard and dark Paisley could see right through him and saw the good in him. She knew from jump she was made to be his light and didn’t give in. I loved Coal and Paisley and I enjoyed seeing Ice and Morgan and Hammer and Des. However, the ending of this was great loved the last two chapters were heartwarming and let us know everything was good in the Regulators MC world.

A few of my favorite lines:

Okay so for most people, it may not; but for me, that’s how it’ll be. The stars will align and something will happen, sending me barreling into the man of my dreams life, and instantly, there will be fireworks.

“I love you to death, but you are the craziest woman I know. Maybe a little meat in you would take the edge off?”

“Don’t look for the good here, Pixie. Coal.” I point to my name patch. “Dirty, Dark, and hard, I’m scarred, marred, and more than you need to take on.” She studies me before she slides into her driver’s seat again. “Or maybe, Coal, this is about finding what makes you combust so you can use your energies for fuel instead of staying in your hard form, all locked up tight.”

Hard, unyielding, a rock, I am coal. The lion, they always called me, left the pride many years ago before I was even a man. Instead, I have been rock hard in my tolerance of others and dealing with my past.

I see through him. Oh, yes, I see through his exterior, he deserves something good to be given back to him. His dark aura comes from an inability to let go of something deep.

I can’t help thinking, I’m going to be his light, his sunshine. I’m going to figure out what makes him tick. Watch out, Trever “Coal” Blake, I’m on a mission.

“Okay, Pixie, some things we need to get clear. I’m a man. A red-blooded, all-American man. I eat meat. I eat bread. I eat just about anything that doesn’t eat me. I appreciate you trying to make good on the little bump, but sugar, it’s done. I’m trying real hard to be nice here. I wasn’t hurt, you weren’t hurt, there wasn’t a single bit of damage. I don’t think I even have a scratch on my bike.”

The problem with my personality is that I’m curious to the point that I can sometimes be, oh dare I say, nosey. Now I have all these questions, and I can’t help wanting to know the truth.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

This is the second book in the series.  I did not read the first book in this series and could be why I found it slow at the start but once it started going I was hooked. I found the characters fascinating and loved that they were all a strong unit ready to back each other whenever needed.

Jocelyn was sent to Earth to protect her best friend and knew she was probably giving finding her Elske in the process.  That is until the king sends a new teacher for her friend. However, can she find happiness and love when all heck is breaking lose around them and rebels are hot on their heels.

I love Joselyn and Gunnar’s chemistry. The twists that were tossed in were great I wondered if they could overcome that little one.  I liked that both Joselyn and Gunnar had a vulnerable side and even though they were strong together.  I enjoyed this story and will be picking up the first book in the near future.

What a unique spin on the Bloody Mary stories. This is a YA novel that can be read as a standalone but is part of a series. Landon is 17 and grew up watching this mesmerizing girl in the mirror…that no one else can see. Elizabeth is said girl in the mirror. She held captive in the Isle of the Damned by Bloody Mary. She can feel Landon and his strength. She has been held captive for so long everything tends to run together. Things start to go awry and the Isle of the Damned and Earth are in trouble. Landon is called on for an important mission and Elizabeth finds her true strength and calling. This is truly a twisted tale that is the emotional rollercoaster you come to expect with teenagers. However, there are twists to this ghost story that you won’t see coming and these will keep you on the edge of your seat to the very end. This story touches on depression and how they overcome these obstacles. The characters and world building are great. You won’t go wrong with this story. I was not aware at the beginning that this is a novella for the Skeleton Key series but am looking forward to reading more!

Enticed by Lady Elianna

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

*Clapping* Who doesn’t love Cinderella?  Well?  I am waiting!!  Exactly we all love her story.  Ya know why we love it?  Because the bad people get what they deserve and the good person gets it all in the ed.  Yup that is my take anyway.  Well this story is a retelling of Cinderella in regency time.

Lady Elianna is a 17 year old who has now lost both her parents.  Her cousin comes and informs her to be a servant or go to  nunnery?  WELL Servant it is.  5 years of deaing wit thiese cousins of hers was 5 years too long in my book.

The new Lady Berkely makes Eli taker her brat to London for fittings.  Caroline is going to have her first and only season if her parents have anything to say about it.  When they bump into Lord Sinclair he is charmed my Eli and disgusted by Caroline.

As the story goes, Lord Sinclair comes to  ball to see Eli even though it is under the pretense to see Caroline.  The ball and all the traditional scenes are played out in and we are cheering on Lord Sinclair for saving our damsel in distress.  What I did love was the spin of the story at the end.  When we find out all about Lady Elianna’s cousin’s and what they have been hiding all along from Eli.

I receive this book from the author for an honest review.

**Claapping** AHHHHHH  Captain Jack’s book!  *Bootie Shaking and fist pumping*  I have been so wondering about him after Evelyn’s book and now we know what happens to him.

Jack wakes up after a fall through time to save the king annnd his mistress soooo the king gives the stranger a title but no lands.  Jack is in England time trying to figure out what to do and maybe how to get back this time and life.  He knows that getting an invite to the 2 week ball is probably going to drive him nuts.  Having a title means young married minded woman will be looking for a husband.  That is not in Jack’s cards.

Elizabeth knows alllll about time travel given that her grandmother and mother both did it.  Her grandmother escaped Captain Jack and her mother fell through time to marry her father.  She ha sseen visions of Jack but always thought they were her imagination running wild and never really thought that she was seeing the real man.

When they meet unexpectedly at the library, the chemistry was awesome.  They both are intrigued and want to know more.  When Jack tells Elizabeth his name and then tells her who she is…..Que plot twist….the two can’t be together!!  GASP!!

When Jack talks to Alys all about her life, time travel and he learns all is not what he thought so he runs to find and claim his Ellie!!

This book was one of my favorites in the series!!
