TWINSIE DEB’S REVIEW

Exiled by Jasinda Wilder
Isabel, Caleb, Jakob, and Logan
HOLY SHIT… THIS WAS… AMAZING
5 Stars because 10 is not an option

So, yeah.. I’m kinda freaking the fuck out! This trilogy has had me on edge since I started it. I can’t say enough about. I can’t tell enough people to read it. It’s that fucking good people! It’s way outta the norm and I loved it with everything I am!

Isabel is still struggling to find out WHO she is and WHEREshe belongs. It’s a complicated situation. She can’t remember her past, only bits and pieces come back in flashes brought on by various things. She’s reliant on Caleb to fill in the blanks and, well he’s not very forthcoming. She’s scared, yet she’s incredibly strong and will stop at nothing to obtain a normal life. Wow, the shit this girl went through and is still going through… makes me shutter.

Caleb or Jakob.. whoever the fuck he is.. he’s a sick fuck. This guy needs to be locked up in some dark and dank cell where the key gets thrown away. Far away! His head trips and his manipulative ways are just scratching the surface where his evil mastermind in concerned. I hated how he withheld information from Isabel for his own gain. He knew everything about her, yet he chose to divulge nothing for his own personal egotism. Total Dick. I had high hopes for this one. I think I may still love the bastard… just a little!

Now Logan… Oh Logan. This turmoil you went through for the love of this woman. He lost so much, yet (in his eyes *wink) gained much more. He seemed to always be there when Isabel needed him. He’s smart, successful, and hot as hell. What more could you want in your man?

This book, this trilogy is on my top 10 for 2016 fer sure. It’s cunning, it’s suspenseful, and it’s chocked full to the rim with tons of plot twists and emotion. The pacing is perfect. The writing style is superb and this storyline… it just grabs you from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go, EVER! The characters are so wonderful. I found myself completely connected to each and everyone. Always concern with whereTHEIR lives went instead of my own. This was a superior ending to a beautiful story. A little shocking, but still excellent.

synopsis

Ren Lewis, who has faced every danger known to man, is about to meet a challenge he’s convinced has the power to undo him. When he discovers that his daughter, Adelaide, has been hiding a pregnancy he goes into hiding himself. Having a daughter was one catastrophe he struggled with. But now, being expected to welcome her baby into his home is not something Ren knows how to assimilate into his life. With a new ferocity he throws himself into his work in order to avoid family responsibility. And there’s enough work to keep him occupied with Vivian Bishop trying to infiltrate American homes, intent on controlling and manipulating their residents. Ren soon realizes that Vivian is his perfect enemy. She’s strategic, brilliant and stunningly beautiful.

In this third and final installment, the monster in Ren will have to do the unspeakable. He will have to evolve. Nothing in his life can be approached employing any of the strategies he’s used before. The evolution of Ren might be his undoing, but it might also be the one thing that brings him real happiness.

kellys review

Ren is a LEGEND! Nothing more, nothing less. This is an incredibly epic story. This is one of my top favorite series EVER! Ren has made many appearances in Sarah Noffke’s books. He has always remained so mysterious but you know there is so much more going on with him. I ached to find out what made him the man he is. I asked and I received. So, enough about my random ramblings….here is my review.

Adelaide is pregnant!!!! She is having a baby and Ren is going to be a grandpa. Oh this is going to be a treat. Adelaide is so much like her father it’s not funny (well, maybe it is). Dahlia is handling everything with a grain of salt and has left for work. Ren has immersed himself into his work. Adelaide is trying to figure herself out. Ren is trying to find Vivian (our villain) and figure out her angle. Low and behold, he atually knows her from way back when. She was a student of his. Now there may be a mole within the Lucidites Institute. Ren and his department are on the lookout and Ren is working with Aiden on some new technology. In the meantime Adelaide has gone into labor and has had some complications. She is having issues with her emotions with the entire parenting issue.

These characters have evolved in the past stories and continue to evolve with this story. The characters become a part of you. A part of you that stays with you. As they work through their emotions (and they are tough but relatable emotions) it really makes you feel for them as if they are real people. For an author to evoke this feeling in you is absolutely priceless.

“Dahlia has just come around and accepted that I have a daughter. We’re back together. Adelaide makes sense in my life now. I mean, as much sense as a dog giving birth to kittens. But still I was starting to accept this bizarre fate I’ve been delivered. And now Adelaide has ruined it. Ruined it by breeding. By f***ing up her future. Weighing herself down with a burden. She had so much potential. The potential to become an elite agent for the Lucidites. But now, now she has a monster inside of her. One that’s going to f**k up our lives.”

“You think we’re cursed with these powers. I don’t disagree with you. But what you miss with your faulty reasoning is we’re not cursed with powers, we’re cursed to be great. That’s a lot of pressure. I get that. I feel that way, and yet I have to accept it.”

“I, Ren Lewis, was unselfish, maybe for the first time. It’s hard to know since selfless acts are about as easy to qualify as cloud shapes.”

In Revived, Lucidites book 3, Roya says “Most things aren’t awesome. The Milky Way is awesome. Niagara Falls is awesome. But a pair of shoes isn’t awesome. A side of fries isn’t awesome. Neither is a new hairdo or most other things that are described using that word.” Well, my friends…Ren is AWESOME! That is all there is to it. A huge round of applause to Sarah Noffke for finishing Ren’s series in the most epic way possible. A huge thank you for keeping me entertained! I am crossing my fingers hoping he continues to cameo in other stories. Perfection!

Excerpt:

We, Jaz and I, only found out last night. She wanted me to know it was why
she hadn’t visited me here or met either of you. It’s not that she didn’t want to, it was just she
couldn’t and hadn’t told me why before.” He turned to Jaz. “I think it was her way of letting us
know she was okay with us. Or maybe it was an apology. Again, I am not really sure. I’m just
glad she finally told us. Anyways, that is why we have to go to her instead of her coming to us.”
“I’m not sure I like the idea of going anywhere called the Nether Realm. What if I get
stuck there?”
Logan snorted softly. “You won’t, baby. You used to visit my mother’s garden and me
often. Besides, I won’t let anything more happen to you. I should have never let you leave alone
last night. I should have stayed with you. Maybe if I had, none of this would be happening now.
Can you ever forgive me?”
Jasmine moved over to him. “There is nothing to forgive. I have a feeling I am pretty
stubborn when I want to be. If I left alone because I wanted you to have more time with your
family, I doubt there would have been anything to stop me from leaving alone.” She moved
around the kitchen and poured herself a cup of chicory coffee, inhaling the rich, aromatic scent
before cautiously taking a sip of the velvety rich beverage.
“Hah. You are so right. Always have been,” Tyler readily agreed, then looked up as he
sensed an approach to the door. “Your grandmother has arrived. You ready to go?”
“Mostly. Why can’t you come again?”
“Because I’m not welcome there,” Tyler replied as he moved to open the door for
Archanidou before she ever had the chance to knock.
“Because you are human or because you are alive?” Jaz questioned as she watched him
move to the door. She was surprised when she saw Archanidou moving towards the steps. She
knew he said she was here, but how did he know?
Spiderwoman glided in, greeting the three of them with a “Blissful morning.”
Tyler shut the door behind her and responded to Jaz’s question. “I’m alive, but it’s not the
reason I am not welcome there. I cannot go because of a truce the realm I come from has with
the Nether Realm. We stay out of each other’s territory.”
“So you are not human?” Jaz asked, astounded, though considering all the revelations of
the past few minutes, she really shouldn’t have been. Yet, somehow she felt like Alice who fell
through the looking glass to a world which was topsyturvy
from what it should be.
Tyler shook his head. “No.”
“What are you, then?”
Tyler looked at Archanidou, almost as if asking permission to tell her. Archanidou
nodded to him and waited.
“I am Fae.”
Silence.
“What is that? Like a fairy?”
“Yes.”
“Where are your wings?”
“They can only be seen in my realm.”
Silence.
“Can you fly?”
“Only in my realm.”
“What realm are you from? What is it called?”
“Faefardom.”
Silence.
“How did we meet?”
Again, Tyler looked over at Archanidou who answered for him. “You were born there.
That is where my daughter, your mother, Fern, laid you.”
“Laid me?”
“You are my child’s child,” Archanidou said patiently. “Spiders lay eggs. And it is
because of the egg that you are so sought after, which is why you live in a warded house, and
why you grew up in Faefardom. It was to protect you.”
“Protect me from what? This is all so confusing.” Jaz rubbed her forehead. “Does this
have anything to do with Logan’s mom?”

EXPOSED Excerpt

I am naked; you are clothed.

The way it always is, it seems. Do you keep me naked merely because you enjoy the sight of my nude body? Or is it another form of control, of manipulation? A way of keeping me contained, keeping me captive? Some of both, I think. When I am naked—which is often, now that I live with you in your cavernous tower-top home—your eyes flit and float to me, rake over me, absorb my dusky flesh and athletic curves. Your eyes are always on me, even when you are working. Your eyes move from your laptop to me, pause on the elegant column of my throat, slip and slide down to the valley between my heavy breasts, to the flat plain of my belly, the juncture between my thighs, and then you, somewhat reluctantly, it sometimes seems, force your gaze back to your work.

Life with Caleb Indigo: a concerto of keyboard keys clicking and clacking, an overture of gazes and glances. You are always working. Always. I wake at midnight in the morning to the sound of your phone ringing—your ringer is a plain, old-fashioned bleating of a rotary-style phone—and you answer it with a curt “Indigo,” and you listen carefully, intently, and then respond in as few syllables as possible, end the call, toss the phone onto the nightstand close to hand, and tug me roughly up against your chest. Four a.m.: you jab your legs into slacks, shrug into a button-down, fingers nimble on the buttons, announce that you have business to see to, and then you do not return till three in the morning or four or even six, when you appear looking haggard and unshaven with dark circles under your eyes. But then, I, anticipating your return, am awake. And you know this.

And you stand at my side of the bed, staring down at me, waiting. I roll over, gaze up at you. Slowly, you divest yourself of your clothing. Your gaze will not leave me, and perhaps you slide the flat sheet away to bare my form. I cannot help but notice the way the zipper of your slacks tents and tautens as you gaze at me. And I am, in that moment, flushed with desire.

I cannot help it.

And I do try. Just to see if I have found some new source of self-control where you are concerned.

But the result is always the same: I see you, watch you peel the shirt off, unbutton it quickly, swing your arms back to pinch your shoulder blades together, and the shirt falls away. Your torso is bare, magnificent, a sculpture of tanned, muscled perfection. My throat will tighten and I am compelled to swallow again and again, as if I could swallow down my need for you. And then my gaze will rake down your furrowed eight-pack abdomen to your groin, to your bulging zipper, and my thighs clench around the gush of heated need. My breath comes in panting gasps.

I don’t need to say anything.

You unhook the clasp of your trousers, pinch the zipper tab in your big thumb and long forefinger, slowly draw it down. Free your erection. It will sway in front of my face, tall and hard and perfect.

And I am undone.

Any will I possess is eradicated.

Your hands will be rough on my flesh, scraping, teasing, possessing. And I will revel in that roughness, in the clutch of hard hands on my buttocks, tugging me to the end of the bed and holding me aloft as you plunge into me, eliciting a whimper.

And I will come apart for you, watching the tendons in your neck pulse and tighten, watching your abdomen flex, watching your hips drive, watching your biceps ripple as you keep me held effortlessly where you want me.

And you will come, too, but never quickly. Never until I have reached my own climax. And sometimes not until I have reached it twice. If I do not find that release with the driving and thrust of your body, you press that big thumb to my clitoris and force me to it with gentle, skillful, insistent circles as if you somehow just know precisely how to pleasure me.

When you do find your own release, it is quiet, an intense groan, perhaps a bead of sweat trickling down your temple, as if even your sweat obeys the rule of artfulness that seems to dictate your existence.

And then, done with me, you will brush a thumb over my temple, sweep flyaway locks of raven-black hair aside, grant me a moment of eye contact, a moment of personal connection. Just a moment, only a fragment of time. But something, at least. As if you know I need those moments to continue this . . . game.

This ruse.

This deception.

This faux-domestic relationship.

Without those moments of intimacy granted in that postcoital gaze, I would combust. Detonate.

And even with them, I am discontent. Disturbed.

You know it.

I know it.

But we do not speak of it. I try, and you brush it aside, sweep the conversation away like so much dust from a corner. Answer a phone call, claim to have a meeting to scurry off to, an e-mail to answer, a deal to broker.

Twinsie Deb’s Review

Exposed by Jasinda Wilder
Caleb, X, and Logan
LOVED IT AND CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THIS COME FULL CIRCLE!
5 Nerve wracking stars

Ok, so I went into this one knowing that it would end on a cliffy… I mean, it’s the second book in a trilogy for fuck sake… but I’m still reeling from it! Damn it Jasinda! I want more! I need more! I grieve for X, I pine for Logan, and I plot for Caleb’s demise. This story is unusual and profound. You won’t want to miss it!

At the end of the first installment, Madame X, I have to admit I still kind of had hope for Caleb. I wanted to see him become the man I knew he could be. He teetered on the brink of evil, but always seemed to redeem himself at every turn. I’m not so sure he’s redeemable anymore. He has fallen down too many times to get back to where he needs to be. I guess anyone can change, but at this point, in my heart Caleb is dead to me! DEAD I TELL YOU!!!

Logan is still a breath of fresh air. He seems genuine and kind at the moment, but we all know shit can get pretty hairy in just the matter of a chapter or two. So far so good though. I know he means well where X is concerned, but sometimes I think he may be laying it on a little thick at times. I, myself would have been awfully overwhelmed by his presence and his need to fix everything. He does still make me swoon though!

X is still finding things out about herself. Good things, shocking things, and things she can’t explain. Caleb is still a lying sack of shit when it comes to what really happened to her and Logan seems to be an open book divulging anything and everything he can get his hands on that pertains to her. Now that she’s knows one of the most basic things about herself, she wants to transform to that person she now knows and not be X anymore. Who can blame her? My heart still breaks for her and I can’t wait to read the last installment, Exiled so that maybe reading her parts will make my heart sore instead of wilt.

It’s a well written book. The dialogue flows perfectly and the storyline is wonderful. The characters, good or bad were exceedingly powerful and kept me on the edge of my seat though most of it. From cover to cover you’ll be offered tons of excitement, loads of angst, and some of the longest sex scenes I think you’ll ever read. Oh. So. Hot. I loved it with my whole heart and can’t wait to see how this all plays out. Bravo Jasinda. You rocked it!

I receive his book from the author for an honest review.

I love Paranormal and UF. They are kind of a go to genre when I am looking for something to read.  I liked this story because we, the reader, don’t really know what Jane is.  Jane’s abilities are told to us slowly throughout the novel but we don’t know WHAT she is.

Colt is a regular guy hanging at this cabin when Jane stumbles in and passes out.  He takes her to the hospital and is instantly drawn to this red headed beauty.  He doesn’t know anything about her but he can’t stay away.

Jane, named for being a Jane Doe, is trying to figure out her new world.  She only knows Colt and is drawn to him and the peace she feels with him but does he feel the same?    The couple begin to navigate their emotional attachments while also trying to protect Jane’s abilities from the small town gossip. When Jane’s dad shows up, Colt and Jane have to figure out what to do and where to go.

What I really liked about Colt was his “gentleman” manners.  He knows he is a player and doesn’t want to hurt Jane but when she is full steam ahead, so is he.  I also love how he calls her on her running.  She says it’s for the best but he is willing to face the bad side of her abilities where she is too afraid of what it may do to him.  He is the perfect Alpha looking to protect his love.  Jane is a great innocent woman who wants to help everyone but tends to hurt the ones she loves and who loves her with trying to be unselfish.

I am really looking forward to reading book 2 because I want to know more about Jane and her “abilities”.

#REVIEW – Dirty Pleasures (The Dirty Billionaire Trilogy Book 2) by Meghan March

51Gb+s3q9XL._SX331_BO1,204,203,200_

From USA Today bestselling author, Meghan March, comes a filthy new trilogy. All three books are available now! Are you ready for this wild and dirty ride?

I did it. I married a billionaire.
My reasons are my own, but the last thing I expected was to feel owned.
I may have taken vows, but I’m still determined to be me.
Now his rules are taking over my world, but I’m not the kind of girl to just obey.
There’s only one problem: I might actually be falling for him…
I have no idea how this marriage is going to go, but holding onto a piece of myself while succumbing to his dirty pleasures is shaping up to be the ride of a lifetime.

Dirty Pleasures is the second book in The Dirty Billionaire Trilogy and should be read following Dirty Billionaire. Creighton and Holly’s story concludes in Dirty Together.

Twinsie Jo’s Review:

Wow…okay so this is book 2 in the Dirty Billionaire Trilogy and can I just say that these books keep getting better and better. Creighton…swoon. He is right up there with Gideon Cross for me. I love a man who is dominating and says it like it is but is willing to break for the love of his life. He may not admit that he loves Holly but we all know he does right? Right.

This book is about Holly trying to deal with the man she married to get out of a crappy situation. She attempts to balance her up and coming singing career with her intense but insanely hot marriage. The sex? Holy moly balls on fire. Wow. It takes a lot to make me blush and fan myself but I definitely had some of those moments while reading this hot little number.

Creighton…my new book boyfriend…discovers his feelings for Holly but we all know how difficult it is for a man like him to admit those said feelings. He’s dominating and possessive. He wants his wife safe and happy.

I love the side characters in this trilogy and I hope they get their own stories. I know Meghan mentioned something about it so fingers crossed. These books make me want to go back and read everything written by her. This is my favourite book of the trilogy so far and I can’t wait to find out how it ends.
