⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5 STARS⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I received this book from the author. This is my honest review.

I’m going to keep this short and sweet. Too much information will ruin this book for others and I do NOT want to do that.

I was addicted to Vanishing Act from the first word. It was a fascinating page turner that kept my rapt attention until the final word. I NEEDED the next book like YESTERDAY! I seriously cannot wait to see how this story plays out. I’m completely invested and feel like I will finally be able to move on with my life once I get brought up to speed on the lives of the characters at the center of my newest fictional world obsession.

I received this book for free from the author for an honest review.

So this book …it is definitely a different departure from the regular books we get from Heather.   She can write some killer romantic suspense and she can leave you wanting more for sure and trust me you will get that…but this book has a different vibe.

The story is about Brooke who has endured a life of hell with her husband Warren. When she finds out she is pregnant, she is instantly afraid for her baby. Brooke fears no one can help her and then she meets Donna. Donna helps Brooke, now Kellie, escape to better her life.

This story is jumping back and forth from past to present. We see Brooke and then we see Kellie.  We see her on the run with her baby until she lands in a small town. She is keeping to herself when the town sheriff slowly starts to friend her daughter to get to Kellie.  We see her struggle with opening herself to him because she was warned NEVER to tell who you really are.

When Brooke’s past comes slamming into her future as Kellie with Blake, we all worry and then BOOM the other shoe drops and …..HOLY MOTHER YOU WILL NOT SEE IT COMING!!!!

I received a copy of the book from the author for an honest review.

OH my stars, Heather had me on the edge of my seat on this one.  I have to say I was totally vested in Brooke’s story.

Brooke was in an abusive relationship and when she found out she was pregnant she knew she had to run.  She was able to get away and start a new life for her and her daughter. When the town sheriff befriends her daughter, it is hard for her to keep the walls up.  Brooke finds herself falling for Blake and I was so happy for her. Blake is amazing he is so good for Brooke. Just when things seem to be looking up for Brooke her past catches up with her.

This has a crazy cliff hanger.  It took me a while to be able to put my thoughts together to write this review.  I had so many things going through my mind and I don’t want to give anything away.  All I can say is what an ending and I am so ready for the second book.

Time, choices, mistakes, regrets, fate…and MadDog2020!

When Adam was dying he made a choice to accept cybernetic prosthetics to save his life, but now being a cyborg means he is existing in between worlds. Happy to be alive but nothing to live for. He was shunned for his choice and lives a solitary life for fear that he will glitch and hurt someone. Eve is a smart and strong woman who found out the company she works for is killing cyborgs. Her objective is to get this information to the right people and ultimately save the cyborgs. When these two meet you can feel the connection right away. They have a slow burn type of chemistry. One absolutely worth waiting for. He knows something is off with her but can’t put his finger on it. One thing leads to another and BAM! Their lives have been slammed together and now both of them are in danger.

In true Ava fashion there is quite a bit of snark and sass with some seriously hawt scenes. Believe me, you don’t want to miss any of that. One of the things I loved most about the story is that it wasn’t predictable. It consumes you because the conspiracies are crazy and when you see how things change at the drop of a dime it keeps you turning the pages. Add a little MadDog2020 and the mention of toilet paper hoarding and you’ve got yourself an awesome story! No, seriously. These are mentioned and were perfect additions (so now you totally have to read it because you have to know if it’s true!) but the love story that occurs is breathtaking. A sort of Beauty and the Beast scenario, if you will, with a wonderful happily ever after. However, the real zinger is near the end. There are a few characters that are going to become big players in this trilogy and I can’t wait for the next. Bring it on!

Ava Cuvay writes out of this world romance featuring sassy heroines, often-alien-but-always-sexy heroes, and an alcoholic beverage or two… Set in a galaxy far, far away. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4 STARS⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jake has been friends with Doc forever. Jake is a homebody and Doc is more of a vagabond. He just can’t seem to stay in one place for too long. When Doc gets the itch to take off this time, he needs a HUGE favor from Jake. Docs 22 year old son, Keegan, is finishing school and needs a place to stay while he does. Jake is happy to let him use the spare room.

Jake and Keegan both keep to themselves, neither one a fan of crowds or people. The 2 haven’t even really interacted much with each other while Keegan has been staying there. That is until Jake accidentally walks in on Keegan dancing in his sexy undies. After that, you could say things got a bit awkward.

I love me a good age gap romance. Throw in some angst and make it a bit forbidden like A.d. did with this one and I’m hooked! I floved Keegan and Jake. I wanted them to be together, they were so cute and perfect for each other. There are several things standing in the way of these 2 and them potentially exploring what’s between them. One of them being the fact that… ummm… Jake is NOT gay. Ooorrr maybe he is and he just needed the right man to show him that side of himself. I guess you will have to read on to find out for yourself what happens with these 2.

About A.D. Ellis

A.D. Ellis is an Indiana girl, born and raised. She spends much of her time in central Indiana as an instructional coach/teacher in the inner city of Indianapolis, being a mom to two amazing school-aged children, and wondering how she and her husband of nearly two decades haven’t driven each other insane yet. A lot of her time is also devoted to phone call avoidance and her hatred of cooking.
She loves chocolate, wine, pizza, and naps along with reading and writing romance. These loves don’t leave much time for housework, much to the chagrin of her husband. Who would pick cleaning the house over a nap or a good book? She uses any extra time to increase her fluency in sarcasm.
A.D. uses she/her or they/them pronouns.

#WOTR20 #Hockey #FriendsToLovers #Review #Audio – Scoring the Player (Indianapolis Eagles #2) by Samantha Lind

Scoring the Player (Indianapolis Eagles #2)

Cocky, man whore, player…. Those are all ways I have been described by the media and countless women. Are they accurate? Possibly. But, that’s all I let the media see of me, Brian Kelly, defensive player for the Indianapolis Eagles Hockey team. I have no intentions of settling down and changing the media’s perception of me. I can’t tell if women are after me for my bank account, the status symbol of being with a professional athlete, or if they really want me for me. Then I meet her. The one woman who doesn’t let my charm affect her or cause her to jump directly into my bed. Can I possibly change my ways and settle down?

Grounded, selfless, giving…Those are all the ways my family and friends have described me. Are they right? Possibly. But, I’m so much more, and need some passion and excitement in my life. My best friend is moving on and I want that someone special to share all that life has to offer. Let it be known that I, Kinley Williams, want the right someone special. So why did he have to crash into me? The one man who is so clearly wrong for me. Then again, he doesn’t seem like anything the tabloids claim him to be. So is he really all that wrong?

Review by Twinsie Angie

I purchased this audio.

When I read book 1, I was so excited about Kinley and Brian.  These two had amazing chemistry and they just seemed to fit together so perfect.  We could see the sparks starting in book 1, but I was glad I got to witness then firsthand myself.

Kinley is 30 and ready to settle down.  She is over the clubs and one-night stands.  She wants MORE.  When her best friend Becca rekindles a flame with her one true love Kinley meets his new friend and teammate Brian.  They chemistry is amazing, but Brian is ready to give her all his attention.  She is worried that his man-whore ways will pop up, but she is so pleasantly surprised they continue to form a bond even when he returns to Indiana.

Brian doesn’t even think settling down is in the Cards and then WHAMP he meets Kinley. He thinks she is beautiful, but her sass and spirit draw him in.  He is going above and beyond to show her she is more than just a one-night stand.

The couple remain friends mainly because Kinley is afraid to let him in 100%.  But after coming to Indiana to be there to see Becca get engaged to Scott, she is all in with Brian.  I LOVED the tory of these two.  They have a quick whit and sexy chemistry.  When we see them falling in love, it was so amazing.  When the plot twist happens, my heat is broken.  These two have over come so much and now the thought of THIS pushing a wedge between them…..sad eye time.  However, seeing Brian step up and push Kinley and also give her space to see what she has and what he will do for THEM….dreamy sign time.

Now I have no clue who book 3 Is but I am so hoping its Murph and Maidson!!!

The audio for the book was really enjoyable.  I will say I enjoyed the woman’s voice in this narration vs the woman’s voice of the first book.  I am not sure if the males voice changed but I did like listening to each one.
