Jordan O’Neill isn’t a fan of labels, considering he has a few. Gay, geek, librarian, socially awkward, a nervous rambler, an introvert, an outsider. The last thing he needs is one more. But when he realises adding the label asexual might explain a lot, it turns his world upside down.

Hennessy Lang moved to Surry Hills after splitting with his boyfriend. His being asexual had seen the end of a lot of his romances, but he’s determined to stay true to himself. Leaving his North Shore support group behind, he starts his own in Surry Hills, where he meets first-time-attendee Jordan.

A little bewildered and scared, but completely adorable, Hennessy is struck by this guy who’s trying to find where he belongs. Maybe Hennessy can convince Jordan that his world hasn’t been turned upside down at all, but maybe it’s now—for the first time in his life—the right way up.

Review by Twinsie Tenise

Jordan is a librarian who loves to cuss, and he talks a whole bunch of nonsense when he’s nervous and I just love him.

Hennessey works in internet safety. He’s a bit more reserved than Jordan, I guess you could say- but that does not matter one single iota- the 2 of them are 2 halves of the same whole. Soul mates. They were absolutely made for one another.
Jordan is struggling with this because he has zero desire for sex and the feelings Hennessey is stirring in him have left him confused.

Hennessey is so loving and understanding. He is the perfect partner for Jordan.

This is my first read involving asexuals. I loved it. I feel like I learned a lot and have a better understanding of asexualism, and I would like to thank the author for that. I swooned, I cried, I laughed (a lot), I fell in love with these 2 men and their unyielding love for one another. And don’t even get me started on the supporting characters. They were all a fantastic group of friends. I hope I can move on from this book. I miss them already.

About N.R. Walker

N.R. Walker is an Australian author, who loves her genre of gay romance. She loves writing and spends far too much time doing it, but wouldn’t have it any other way. She is many things; a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer. She has pretty, pretty boys who live in her head, who don’t let her sleep at night unless she gives them life with words.

She likes it when they do dirty, dirty things… but likes it even more when they fall in love.

She used to think having people in her head talking to her was weird, until one day she happened across other writers who told her it was normal. She’s been writing ever since.

#WOTR22 #NewRelease #summerlove #2ndChance #Review #Comedy – Ask Me to Stay by H. D’Agostino

The Bradshaws have owned a beach house down the coast from ours for as long as I can remember. Every summer since I was six, we’ve vacationed there.

Russell, their youngest son, was my best friend growing up. He taught me how to spit and punch like a boy. He gave me my first beer and first kiss, which was terrible by the way. We spent many days and nights commiserating together about how our parents knew nothing and were so uncool.

Casey Bradshaw, Russ’s older brother, was everything I thought I wanted in a boyfriend. He was cool, mature, and very hot. Each summer I tried and failed, to get him to notice me as more than Russ’s friend and the girl from down the beach. The last summer I was there, he broke my heart.

It’s been six years, and my best friend Aimee has decided we need a vacation. The last thing I expected was to be back at the beach. Sometimes we don’t realize what we need has been right under our nose all along, and sometimes it takes a little push and some alcohol to admit we were wrong.

Review by Twinsie Angie

I was given this book by the authors for an honest review.

When I was given this book, I was actually kinda surprised.  Heather doesn’t do comedy.  Full Stop.  Heather does throw your kindle at the wall, angst inducing suspense.  Not comedy.  So, imagine my complete shock when I am reading this story and laughing my ass off….the tree scene…guys…I died!!!

This is a story about 2 kids who grew up at the beach together. They were besties.  Willow and Russ.  Like with most childhood summer friendships they lose touch. Life fast forwards and Willow is sad, broken and needing a change.  What can cure the broken heart of being dumped by your boyfriend? A summer at the old beach house with your bestie.

Willow and Aimee are attacked by a wild dog on the beach and just who happened to be the owner of said dog? Russ her childhood bestie.  They two start to pal around and Aimee leaves when the romance starts to sizzle……and crack you up at what all happens when they get drunk or have sexy times with taco…just read it ok.

I am a huge fan of Heather’s books.  This one was super refreshing to read.  It was light.  It was sexy.  It was just FUN!  I mean so many “OMG YESSSS I remember that as a kid” moments in the book.  I totally think if you need just something FUN to read this is the book for you.

#releaseday #wotr22 #attendingauthor #mmromance #partofaseries —Ollie & Bash (Cravenwood book 2) by: AD Ellis

Ollie isn’t one to hold back, so when he sees a sexy older man in the Cravenwood diner, he goes right ahead and opens his mouth. Getting shot down doesn’t deter him, but maybe he should focus more on the new boss he’s getting at work before he continues trying to hook up with the stranger.

Sebastian is one bad situation from considering himself washed-up. He took the job on Cravenwood Block as a stepping stone up and out of the hole he’s found himself in, but he has no plans to stick around. If he could just find a place to live and get started on working through this temporary obstacle, he’d be feeling a bit more confident.

Ollie and Sebastian don’t have any business getting involved, but fate seems to have different plans. Too many things keep bringing them together—forcing both men to see maybe there’s more between them than their messed-up pasts.

*Ollie & Bash: On Cravenwood Block is a steamy, opposites-attract, roommates-to-lovers, boss/employee, age-gap M/M romance featuring a man not looking for love and a younger music director with no filter.*

About A.D. Ellis

Escape into addictive, sexy, emotional romance.

A.D. Ellis is an Indiana girl, born and raised. She spends much of her time in central Indiana as an instructional coach/teacher in the inner city of Indianapolis, being a mom to two amazing school-aged children, and wondering how she and her husband of nearly two decades haven’t driven each other insane yet. A lot of her time is also devoted to phone call avoidance and her hatred of cooking.

She loves chocolate, wine, pizza, and naps along with reading and writing romance. These loves don’t leave much time for housework, much to the chagrin of her husband. Who would pick cleaning the house over a nap or a good book? She uses any extra time to increase her fluency in sarcasm.

A.D. uses she/they pronouns.
