#WOTR19 #NewRelease #Paranormal #shifters #MMA #Brothers – Bantamweight (Hallow Brothers Book 5) by Tricia Andersen

Bantamweight (Hallow Brothers Book 5)

Abraham Hallow would do just about anything to get out from under his oldest brother, Josiah’s, thumb. That includes performing as the Luchador in the local semi-professional wrestling circuit. He gets more than he bargained for when he hooks up with a woman with multicolored hair. The draw to her is undeniable. He wakes up the following morning with the ancient mark of his ancestors, mating him to the mystery woman he met the night before.
It was a simple mission—find the infamous Hallow brothers, kill them, and bring back the amulet. Kai’s plans get derailed after one night of hot, crazy sex with a mask wrestler. When she finds out the wrestler was none other than Abraham Hallow, the youngest of the Hallow brothers, she is exiled from the mermaid kingdom. Yet the orders from her king still stand. Can she deny her ever-growing love for Abraham, or will she fulfill her duties of killing him?

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Man, IF Josiah hadn’t claimed my heart I think Abe could have been my favorite.

This book has a lot of new information coming our way as to some other supernatural beings in the world like…MERPEOPLE!!  Yup mermaids are real peps!!  Annnd it seems Abe has himself a hot little mermaid named Kai.

Abe is really annoyed at all the “baby brother” cracks.  He wants them to realize he is a 21-year-old adult.  He knows there is a lot happening, but it makes him nuts the brothers feel the need to keep things from him.  This is part of why he is revolting and fighting under cover.

Kai is tired of being “owned”.  She can’t imagine what it’s like to be free.  Between her two “bosses” she can’t do anything for herself.  But she lives in a constant threat of loss of life from these people.  When she is drawn to a human boxer one night she is floored by this, but she goes with it.  This is a decision she is making all for her.  Little does she know what that one little act of freedom will encompass……the mating mark.

Kai is pulled in so many ways and is so confused because she takes the mating mark as one of property and being owned.  Abe has a lot to teach his little mate, but his true and unselfish love is one that shows her what real family is all about.  Seeing Abe stand up to his family for his mate melted me and Kai.

There are more things the Hallow family learn and more spells to be broken.  It seems everyone is coming for the family.  However, their love and bonds will help to keep them safe until they finally end this war.

Back off! Abraham is mine!!! LOL! Abe is the baby of the Hallows and the brothers are more overprotective of him since there are so many more magical beings coming to the surface. Abe is dying to get out and be his own person/wolf. The brothers have no idea but he has been hiding as the Luchador. A completely masked wrestler that no one knows the identity to but Abe. After a fight he is drawn to Kai, the beauty with the multi colored hair. Kai is drawn to him as well and then one thing leads to another and things happen (*wags eyebrows*). She finds out that he is a Hallow and her orders still stand to kill them all. The only problem….well, they are mated. These two are so stubborn and so hard headed that the push and pull between them gets hotter every time they collide. Now we have a feud between the Mer-People and the Hallows. Everyone is still after the Heka and momma’s amulet. What is one more problem? Oh yeah, Loch. Abe is slotted to fight Loch with whom Kai had already been promised to. No matter how many different magical elements and beings we get with this series they are all placed in the perfect place and flows extremely smooth. All the brothers and their mates still play integral parts in Abe’s story. This particular story really had my emotions running on high the entire time. I wasn’t sure if Kai was dying at one point, if Kai is going to go through and kill the Hallows, if the Heka and amulet are truly safe….Bantamweight has so many twists that I never really knew how the story was going to end. Rest assured, this is one of my favorites of the series! I was never able to guess the next move and it really kept me on my toes. The series is a must read!

#WOTR19 #ThrowbackReview #paranormal – Baiting a Berserker by Savannah Verte

Baiting a Berserker (Paranormal Dating Agency Kindle Worlds)

Addian Hevir doesn’t want a mate, he needs one…to save his clan, and himself before the beast within consumes what’s left of his humanity. As a berserker, it’s only a matter of time before one, or both happen. Time is perilously short.
Fynn Barrow has had more than her share of Mr. Wrongs. A strong, independent Mer-woman, she’s not going to be content with just any man. She needs to be wanted by one who can meet her challenges in return. She’s not interested in playing the damsel in distress, or the dutiful housewife, to anyone.
Gerri confidently pairs them, but it only takes one meeting for them both to have doubts. Can two dominant personalities find the balance to come together before others interfere and send one to their death, and the other back to square one? Or, will it take the imminent threat to drive them where they need to be?

Goodreads

I purchased this book.

I have had the pleasure of knowing this author for a few years and was like I NEED TO READ HER…so I scrolled through her Goodreads list of books and this book just jumped out at me. I love Paranormal and I Love Shifters sooooo yup I one clicked it and jumped in.  I sat on my butt and devoured the book in one sitting.

I have not read a mermaid book, so I was excited to read about Flynn and the Lore in regard to mermaids.  I have read about a Berserker or two in paranormal books previously but something about Addain I liked.  I think the initial dinner failure was so awkward that I loved it…weird right???  Who loves to read that?  Oh, just me!!  LOL

Like Addain I think Mermaids are cute little sea creatures but hearing all about Mermaids and then seeing them in action…YIKES New found respect.  Flynn is a bad a$$ Lady who will protect what is hers and Addain is ALL Hers!!

Berserkers are pretty intense people.  Addain is not initially attracted to Flynn until he sees Her strength and command in situations.  Then he realized that maybe, just maybe, this mermaid can handle him and his clan.  Ya see, Addian needs to find a mate and find one soon or he will lose his clan to people trying to overthrow him.  The couple meet through a specialized dating match maker for paranormal beings.

The reading of their journey to them meeting, getting to know one another, mating and then protecting Addains station in the clan is a quick read but I really did enjoy it.  I would love to see Fil get a book because I feel as though she will be a riot!!

A lifelong lover of words and reading, Savannah Verte hasn’t quite figured out what she wants to write when she grows up. Born and raised in the upper Midwest, Savannah’s gypsy spirit and never quit attitude keep her busy and seldom idle. For so many reasons, Savannah considers herself a ‘Contemporary Vagabond’ when it comes to writing and hopes that others find her diverse offerings as enjoyable to read as they are to write.

As the primary owner and driving force behind Eclectic Bard Books she considers herself immensely fortunate to see writing from varied perspectives as she endeavors to publish the authors rostered there. Working with other writers, Savannah gets to expand her horizons every day as someone brings a new idea to the table and the brainstorming begins. There is something addictive about the creative process for her and helping other authors embrace their dreams make hers a reality daily.

That’s the official Savannah, the unofficial version is just this: a girl who loves experiencing life with every twist and turn it takes. When she was born, she had such fine, light hair that her mother used to tape bows to her head so people would know she was a girl. She’s had a host of crazy unrelated jobs- everything from cake decorator, dry cleaner, and insurance agent to Emergency Room assistant, bartender, crime lab tech and bouncer. Savannah loves air hockey but completely sucks at it. She loves good jazz, good scotch, and antiques but also old rock, a quiet tea, and a tidy home. She’s completely technology impaired and can get it after she’s broken the computer or done it ass-backwards a few times… Thank Gods that there are some amazing meme creators that let her pilfer images or she’d be lost. Lime green is her color, the rhinoceros is her logo & philosophy, and she’s completely mad about seeing new authors try.

#WOTR19 #NewRelease #Review #TeachingCayden #CollegeRomance #CaydenSutter #StandaloneWithinASeries #OneClick #NewAdultRomance- Teaching Cayden , Sutter Family Series book 4 by H. D’Agostino

Cover Design by Pink Ink Designs.

As the youngest member of the Sutter family, Cayden was always known as ‘the smart one’. Meeting women and playing football might have been his family’s thing, but not his. He was on track to graduate and pursue a degree in physics until he met his nemesis, math.

Addison Porter is a math genius and studies in the same spot of the library every day, that is until one day when her seat is taken. Never being one to back down, she orders the squatter to move. When he offers to share the spot instead, she reluctantly agrees. After noticing her extensive text book collection in mathematics, Cayden asks for help.

What started out as a simple request soon turns into so much more as Addison hides her identity. Not knowing anything about the woman, Cayden goes on a mission to find her, one that lasts for over a year.

What happens when he finds her? Does she have a reason to remain anonymous? Has Cayden finally met the one who will change his plan for the future?

Teaching Cayden is the fourth book in The Sutter Family Series. Join Nick, Cam, and the rest of the gang as we go back to Wilmington one final time.

Goodreads

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Oh Cayden!!!  You were always the quiet one so finally getting to know you was awesome!!  I love the Sutter Family so another kiddo to read about was A-OK with me.

Addison….hrmmmm…you’re a tough nut to crack.  I gotta admit I wasn’t sure you were worthy of my sweet, non-man whoring Sutter but I was so happy to see you prove me wrong as the story proceeds.

Cayden starts college and meets a hot, smart women in the library. She becomes like a dream girl and he searches for her wile he is in college.  When he finally finds her, she is his TA and she is just as stunned stupid over seeing this guy again but ugh she has to be hands off.

The couple try to stay away but when you feel that vibe you just can’t ignore it.  Between her job and her brother, who happens to be one of Caden’s frat brothers, it seems they had some found a groove until Addy’s hot and cold started to make my head spin.  I mean what the heck…baggage city!

As the couple finds there way they have to hide their relationship and secrets always end up causing big trouble when they are found out….!!!!

The epilogue…..shut up!!  If you love BOTH Sutter Series, you will love love love the ending of this book.  We get to see everyone and catch up with everyone.  It made my heart so happy!!

#WOTR19 #AuthorSpotlights – Brittany Holland

Brittany Holland

Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.

Nice to meet you! I’m Brittany Holland – a contemporary romance author and self proclaimed book binger. My love of reading and an active imagination inspired me to pursue my dream of writing.

When I’m not creating worlds on the page I enjoy taking the scenic route traveling, capture life’s moments with photography and catching up on my favorite shows via Netflix or Amazon. I’m a Game of Thrones fan which led to my love (nice way of saying obsession) of Jon Snow aka Kit Harrington and Jason Momoa!!!

In other news, I’m addicted to Starbucks coffee, Spotify music, Buzzfeed quizzes and Haribo gummy bears… in that order. I’m an open book, if there is anything you want to know, ask away!

Where is your favorite place to write and what food must be present?

I love writing in my chair. My writing snacks always include Haribo gummy bears, dark chocolate. I rotate between Starbucks coffee and fountain Mt. Dew. And sometimes I get the odd craving for flaming hot cheetos!

What are you favorite things about attending signings?

I love meeting new readers, other authors and seeing familiar faces… it’s incredible to connect with people in person, face to face and on a level that you can’t reach via social media. I’m a hugger *guilty* LOL! I’m pretty extroverted so I love the opportunity to talk and interact. It’s amazing to meet people you know online but have yet to see in the flesh! I also love to check out new books, to hold something tangible in my hands, and signings are a great way to find new treasures to add to my bookshelf! Finally, seeing new places is always great!

What author would you love to meet (Who is your unicorn author)?

Hmmm. This is a tough one, because there are so many incredible writers that I look up to. I’ve been so lucky to have met a lot of the women who inspire me. One person I’d really love to meet one day is Jodi Ellen Malpas, writer of the This Man series. Also, Colleen Hoover, EL James and Tarryn Fisher.

What author would you love to write with?

Laurelin Paige because she is brilliant and I love how her mind works, she is a word ninja! Rachel Van Dyken because she makes you feel ALL the things even when you don’t want to!

What is your favorite memory so far as an author?

Just starting out, I went to an RWA convention and I met Nora Roberts (who I had idolized and read every book I could get my hands on since junior high) and Sylvia Day (whom I am a huge fan of). It was very surreal to be attending the same conference and an honor to meet them. The other has been having readers/fans that come up to me at signings and discuss my books. It’s a wonderful feeling connecting with someone who has not only read your words, but enjoyed them and wants to talk about the characters and the story. It’s something I’ll never tire of!
