I bought this book when I was in Texas at an author signing.\u00a0 I had ZERO CLUE who the author was but she was chatting about her books and the word \u201cShifter\u201d caught my attention.\u00a0 I am a GIANT shifter fan.\u00a0 When I could finally step up to her table directly, I talked to her about her first 2 books she had on the table.\u00a0 She then told me that book 3 was out soon\u2026SCORE!!<\/p>\n

This is the prequel to the first book in the series but it gives me, someone new to the series and author, the history of Mena, Marc, Jaxon and Phoenix.<\/p>\n

Mena is married to her hubby of 12 years.\u00a0 When she catches him cheating she runs.\u00a0 When she is running, she happens to run into Jaxon.\u00a0 He can sense she is different and we the reader have no clue why\u2026..Then BOOM the bomb is dropped.\u00a0 We learn very quickly who the bad guys are and who the good guys are plus what the heck Mena has become.<\/p>\n

For ME, this short novella got my paranormal loving heart super excited.\u00a0 I mean, I am seriously going right into book 1 because as short and simple as this book is, it got me really excited to read the main story.<\/p>\n
