\u201cWhat is?\u201d Seth sipped his beer. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

She thought for a second. \u201cStreet markets, hanging with friends over a home-cooked meal, seeing a classic movie at the Grand Illusion Cinema in the University district. The interior is original with red brocade chairs and fancy metalwork. Just divine.\u201d Okay, now she was on a roll. \u201cOh, and I have to have Milk Duds. Two boxes if I\u2019m with someone, because I don\u2019t share.\u201d If he didn\u2019t understand the importance of candy while watching a movie then she\u2019d leave right now. Some things were sacred. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI get you on the Milk Duds. I have the same with Allens Jaffas lollies.\u201d At her head tilt, he answered, \u201cAussie candy I order online and have mailed over. I guard that stuff like it\u2019s the crown jewels. My brother Heath tries to steal handfuls when we watch the rugby. Bastard can get his own.\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ah, they had a meeting of minds. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI feel your frustration,\u201d Harper nodded, her tone solemn. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Seth studied her for a moment then, after a quick glance around the garden, asked, \u201cCan I tempt you to leave. Buy you dinner?\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

She slapped a hand over her mouth. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The big Aussie\u2019s lips kicked up at one corner, and his low chuckle sounded as if Hades himself was amused. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Under the influence of whatever evil genie now controlled her mouth, she\u2019d just have to ride it out. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

His invitation was tempting. Why hang around when her father had clearly dismissed her earlier? After all standing before her was a man who intrigued her and had just asked her out to dinner. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
