I could call this a story of fate. It makes you feel like there is always a reason for certain things to happen and for certain paths to cross. Chloe is facing a family loss, things spiral out of control and on one fateful night Nick finds her and brings her back to reality. But then when she wants to find her knight in shining armor he is no where to be found. Nick is facing an unexpected devestation and ends up going a different direction. This might be cliche’ but they run into each other one night a couple years later. They reconnect briefly only to be redirected once again. There is some push and pull with the story but it is written beautifully. Both characters are very well defined and you connect with their feelings and thoughts in a way that grabs you by the heart and will bring tears to your eyes if you are not careful. This is a novella, but it could have been so much more. The good news…there is another full length novel coming out soon! I am so excited! Getting this glimpse of Chloe and Nick will be on my mind for a long time to come. I can’t wait to continue their story!

Chloe Reed and Nick Grayson couldn’t have more different lives.
