But has she instead set herself up to be murdered–and will she uncover the killer before she becomes the next victim?<\/p>\n Goodreads<\/a><\/p>\n Amazon<\/a><\/p>\n I receive this book from the author for an honest review.<\/p>\n I gotta tell ya this book is a bit different yet kinda the same if you are a Jade fan.\u00a0 Ok how is it different and how it is the same you ask?\u00a0 Well it\u2019s the same because she writes these characters that you can identify with.\u00a0 Codie, the main character, at times is similar to other characters she has written and that I loved!!\u00a0 How it is different?\u00a0 The vibe of the book is just different.\u00a0 Yes Codie is feeling two different men and we have seen Jade write his before but they are BOTH so toxic at times you really don\u2019t know who to root for.\u00a0 I mean Slade is just UGH at times and then he is so damn tooth ache genuine that you wanna fall in to his arms.\u00a0 Then we have 1st<\/sup> love Pete who is perfect and then not to perfect and then perfect and then a jackass!!\u00a0 I mean damn the poor girl.<\/p>\n Codie is dealing with a lot in this novel.\u00a0 She is really looking at her life after something happens that shakes her to the core of her foundation.\u00a0 There isn\u2019t a lot of action that we are turning the pages as fast as we can but it is a good slow set up.\u00a0 We are getting the background we need for the next story, developing the inter characters connections but trust when I say the next one is going to be a doozie!!<\/p>\n When the main story line for book 2 is set in place, we can SEE what is going to happen. \u00a0I was loving where Codie was emotionally and with her life.\u00a0 I am super excited to read more from this story.\u00a0 I feel like book 1 is a tease for the rest of this series.\u00a0 I can\u2019t wait to see what happens with the plot PLUS find out which guy is going to be the one for Codie.\u00a0 But can I say\u2026I freaking loved her roomie\/Bestie Matthew.\u00a0 That man deserves a book\u2026.pure comedy he brings to the book along with a giant heart for our girl Codie.<\/p>\n Jade C. Jamison was born and raised in Colorado and has decided she likes it enough to stay forever. Jade’s day job is teaching Creative Writing, but teaching doesn’t stop her from doing a little writing herself.<\/span><\/p>\n Unfortunately, there’s no one genre that quite fits her writing. Her work has been labeled romance, erotica, suspense, and women’s fiction, and the latter is probably the safest and closest description.
