When Alyson, the queen of smut, says she is going to write a NA adult book\u2026I giggled.\u00a0 I mean smut lady writing new adult??\u00a0 AS IF!!\u00a0 She is just pulling her readers legs.\u00a0 No way you go from writing WHAT SHE WROTE in Triztan to a sweet romance\u2026\u2026.But holy crap did she do it AND not only did she do it but she knocked it outta the park.\u00a0 I loved Triztan and his filthy mouth but Jesse and his sweet defending of Summer\u2019s honor.\u00a0 OMG I can\u2019t believe it!!\u00a0 Like NO FREAKIGN WAY but Jesse stole my heart.<\/p>\n

Jesse and Summer meet at Summer\u2019s grandpa\u2019s ranch.\u00a0 She goes there to hide from her mom and the pressures of the skating world.\u00a0 She is lost, confused and hurting.\u00a0 Jesse is sentenced to the ranch as a place to serve his time for the trouble he got into in the city.\u00a0 The horrors he witnessed as a young boy and what he did to survive make you respect him like crazy.\u00a0 Given what he has seen and done you really gotta give him props for doing what he had to do to survive on the streets.<\/p>\n

Jesse and Summer are kindred spirits.\u00a0 Both are not like their peers and want more but what more they have yet to discover.\u00a0 They both realize they can talk and be themselves when near the other.\u00a0 The love of her grandpa\u2019s ranch starts a friendship that buds into more until Summer had to leave suddenly.<\/p>\n

As time jumps, the two are still thinking about the other but they just haven\u2019t gotten the right time\u2026.she has school and he has his sentence to finish.\u00a0 Time doesn\u2019t stop them from thinking about the other and wondering \u201cWhat if\u201d\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026They are moving forward but not really moving on.<\/p>\n

When more time happens and Summer finds out about another change in her life, Jesse is her rock.\u00a0 Their friendship develops beyond friends and they are falling in love with each other thanks to a little push from a special person in their lives.<\/p>\n

This book was so emotional\u2026\u2026I had lots of teary moments and full on sob sessions.\u00a0 I loved how the books has a slow build with Jesse and Summer\u2019s chemistry.\u00a0 We fall in love with them and their love story.\u00a0\u00a0 The last few chapters are time jumps so we can see what happens to the couple and I gotta tell you\u2026I loved it.\u00a0 I can SEE Alyson putting her own heart and soul into the novel at certain scenes and her emotion is clearly visible in the book.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t cry, you have no pulse\u2026.LOL<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Alyson enjoys bringing characters to life and has been writing since she was a little girl. Her first published book was in elementary school where it was put on display in the library for others to read. Alyson\u2019s love for books is what compels her to write and create new worlds of her own for others to enjoy. She enjoys writing everything from erotica to suspense thrillers.
