This book picks up a month after the events in the previous book. The TF-S team is rescuing Caroline Cotter who Mr. J kidnaped, but little do they know that it isnt really Caroline.
\nOk so many things!! First, this is Merc’s book and we don’t know much about him other than Mr.J really screwed him over, more so than the rest of the team I think. Second, you don’t really wanna feel for the enemy but God I can’t help it!! Nightshade is Mr. J’s daughter, well she think she and Caroline are really his because that is the lie that she has been told all her life. That Caroline’s father kidnapped her and killed their mother when they were babies, when in fact it was the other way around but she doesn’t know that.
\nNightshade and Merc fall for each other, but she hates herself for it because she is just pretending to be her sister and knows that once everyone finds out who and what she really is they will hate her for it, but she is there to do a job and get out.
\nThere’s just so many levels of hair pulling in this book!! Lol!! You tug a little bit because you see these two falling, you really pull hard and wanna throw the book because you know she’s the enemy’s daughter but you see that she isn’t as bad as him, and finally you just rip it out because you just wanna slap them both; him for not realizing she’s the enemy and her for not realizing the lie she’s been living.
\nI love that we finally learn more about Merc, that we get to see the rest of the team again, and that things in the end turn out better than predicted. I can’t wait to see the team get Caroline back, the real one, and Mr. J get his comeuppance.<\/p>\n
