Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Michele Shriver I’m a lawyer by day and an author by night. I love hockey, doing Zumba classes, and visiting craft breweries.<\/p>\n

When and Why did you start to write?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I first caught the writing bug in sixth grade, when my teacher gave us an assignment to write the first chapter of a book. I wanted to write the whole book! I always loved writing stories, but got away from fiction writing for way too long because of school and work. It’s been about ten years since I got back into writing fiction, and six since I’ve been publishing. It’s a great escape, and I have stories in my head that are demanding to be told, so I keep writing. <\/span><\/p>\n

What authors do you always read or suggest to others?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I don’t read for pleasure as much I’d like anymore because I’m always writing, but Susan Wiggs is always a favorite of mine, along with Kristin Hannah. I want to be able to write like her when I grow up!<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the most surprising thing you have found out with the writing process?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Every day can bring a new surprise… and inspiration can come from anywhere. Things happen for a reason, though. If my muse gives me a new plot twist, or something that seems random, I run with it. I may not know why at the time, but there’s a reason I woke up at 3 am with that crazy new idea in my head. <\/span><\/p>\n

What are you working on now?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Right now, I am working on a contemporary romance called Fade into Love, which is a spin-off of one of my other books, Finding Forever. I’m also working on book 9 in my Men of the Ice hockey series. This is Austin’s story, and it’s called Beating the Odds. <\/span><\/p>\n

When writing are you a pantser or plotter?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Pantser. Hence being awakened at 3 am with crazy, random ideas! <\/span><\/p>\n
