I received this book from the author for an honest review.<\/p>\n

Holy Moly!! What a book of twists and turns!!\u00a0 X and Hadley have lived a life of torment and torture.\u00a0 They have loved and lost while neither of them knew the \u201cWhy\u201d and when they find out\u2026..Man it\u2019s just heart breaking.<\/p>\n

X has lived forever with the heartache that he caused Hadley\u2019s death.\u00a0 He is stunned to find out she isn\u2019t dead but in fact alive and on the run.\u00a0 X will claim his woman or die trying!!\u00a0 Look out Hadley this Devil is not going to stop until you are his!!<\/p>\n

I gotta say I felt so sad and heartbroken for the two.\u00a0 They have had so many bad things in their lives happen to keep them apart.\u00a0 When they are finally together fear hits our girl Hadley hard and she tried to run but Trapper is there to help her face fears.\u00a0 (Side Note: I need Trappers book like ASAP.\u00a0 This man has some skeletons and demons BUT I can\u2019t wait to find them out.)<\/p>\n

The story is a bit darker then Chelsea\u2019s other MC series so I hope you are prepared for it.\u00a0 I loved it but I loved her darker standalone novel.\u00a0 The topics covered are harsh and the emotion plus despair are thick.\u00a0 Once I stared this book it was tough to put down because we need to see our couple happy plus we need to know WHY all of this has happened to X and Hadley!!<\/p>\n

Chelsea has a way of taking you on a ride filled with twists and turns never knowing what will happen next. X spent his time tormented by the thought he couldn\u2019t save the one good thing in his life. Hadley spent her time trying to protect the one good thing in her life.<\/p>\n

Owen \u2018X\u2019 Gallow didn\u2019t have a great life. He was on the streets after his mother was killed and escaping foster care. He found Hadley, his light; they stuck together watched over each other. Until the night he woke up to find Hadley was gone. I\u2019m telling you this gutted me. X couldn\u2019t stay in a place that reminded him of Hadley. He does find a home with the Devil Due MC. He is buying time to unleash the Devils Due on the man who killed his mother.<\/p>\n

Hadley\u2019s life was not rainbows and flowers either. She was out on the streets and found her safe place with Owen until the night she was torn from her happy place and found herself in the middle of a nightmare that she could not wake up from.<\/p>\n

This book was a little darker than what I\u2019m use to from Chelsea but wow she did a fabulous job. I kept turning pages needing to know more, needing to know what and why things happened but mostly needed to know the connections and how everything fit together. The connections X and Hadley have is undeniable and rock solid. It absolutely broke my heart to hear their stories. To see Hadley trying to protect X from his past and to see the determination X had to old onto Hadley was heartwarming. What I loved the most was seeing how strong-willed Hadley was she is a true survivor and I enjoyed seeing the side of X he only showed Hadley. I also enjoyed seeing the brothers and cannot wait to learn more about them.<\/p>\n

No, what Hadley and I shared even at our young age was a slow burn in your soul deep, she understood me way kind of love, companionship, and partnership. We were young. We were innocent and yet hardened by life. Even in all the dark, she found light with me.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
She believed in me when I didn\u2019t fucking believe in myself. Then she was gone.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Deep in the recesses of my mind, I know I can identify him. Yet no one asked me back then. They didn\u2019t question me. Instead, I was handed a pillowcase to fill as my new luggage and carted off to foster care. All the kids told me I was jinxed, a black soul one little girl said.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
