Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Vicki Green. I write Contemporary Romance, Romance Suspense, and Romantic Comedy. As you can tell, my mind lives in Romance. Characters and plots stay in my head at all hours of the day and night. Luckily, I have a wonderful husband and two sons (17 & 20) that understand when they don’t get a cooked dinner or I’m in my office with the door shut.<\/p>\n

I live in Olathe, Kansas, about 20 minutes from Kansas City and grew up in Overland Park, Kansas. I’ve getting ready to begin my fourth year as a published Author and have attended 25+ signings. I love meeting readers and talking to them about everything books, and whatever else comes up.<\/span><\/p>\n

When and Why did you start to write?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I began writing my first book in May 2013. I’d had a reoccurring dream for several months and one day, after work, I came home and decided to write it down, thinking and hoping it would help get it out of my head. It didn’t. As I wrote, more scenes played out in my head, and I continues to write. I ended up publishing that story at the end of May 2013. 20 books later, almost 21, I continue to write and my mind is constantly full of stories.<\/span><\/p>\n

What authors do you always read or suggest to others?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Oh! So many, there’s no way to list them all!<\/p>\n

Colleen Hoover, Aleatha Roming, Pepper Winters, Mia Sheridan, Sandi Lynn, HJ Bellus, AL Jackson, the list could go on and on.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the most surprising thing you have found out with the writing process?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

How the story unfolds as I’m writing. I’ve been fortunate that I don’t get much of a writer’s block, very often. Normally, I don’t know exactly how the story will come to life as I get from the beginning to the end. I may know where I want it to go but not totally how to get it there. Then, surprisingly, it will tell me as I write. <\/span><\/p>\n

What are you working on now?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I am currently working on a Romantic Comedy called The Oddest Couple. It’s based off the original sitcom, The Odd Couple only this is with a man and woman. I am loving it and their characters! The cover will feature Chase Ketron and I’m in love with the picture that will be on it!<\/span><\/p>\n

When writing are you a pantser or plotter?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I’m not sure exactly but I’m definitely not a plotter. Oh, I make notes and add to them as plot twists and idea’s hit me but I don’t outline a story. Most of the time, as I’ve stated, the story comes to life as I write.<\/span><\/p>\n
