I received this book from the author for an honest review.<\/p>\n

2nd<\/sup> change romance? YES PLEASE!!\u00a0 Biker? YES PLEASE.\u00a0 Not gonna give up his woman? DOUBLE YES PLEASE!!<\/p>\n

So this book is the 4th<\/sup> in a series but trust me when I say you don\u2019t need to read them all because I sure haven\u2019t and I didn\u2019t miss a beat.<\/p>\n

Quinn is not a happy woman.\u00a0 She is on the lookout for her husband, Jack\/Ace to get him to sign the divorce papers.\u00a0 Quinn is over it and wants this done already.\u00a0 Ace. However is not about to let that woman go!!\u00a0 Quinn is actually all tough but once she sees Ace she kinda melts a bit but I mean \u2026come one\u2026Who wouldn\u2019t!!<\/p>\n

Ace was gone but for a very specific reason and he is not going to let that woman go.\u00a0 He is going to convince her that they are supposed to have a forever. I mean who doesn\u2019t wnt to be chased by an alpha biker???\u00a0 I mean come one ladies!!<\/p>\n

I loved the story even when I wanted to slap them both in the head and just say \u201cADMIT THE LOVE PEOPLE!!\u201d\u00a0 LOL but we readers do love our angst!!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/span>After our ride, I was silently thrilled Ace brought us back to the house. Max was around, and I didn\u2019t want to be a crappy friend who ditched her after she came all that way just to check on me.<\/span>
<\/span>When we walked in, Max and Ham were both there. I had no idea what to make of that, but with both the guys hanging around, I couldn\u2019t ask. Instead, I was stuck agreeing to the invitation for us to order in pizza with them and chill.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cWhat on it?\u201d Ham asked as Ace and I settled onto one of the couches.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cPineapple,\u201d Max responded.<\/span>
<\/span>Ham pinched the bridge of his nose. \u201cTell me you\u2019re fuckin\u2019 with me, babe,\u201d he demanded.<\/span>
<\/span>She wasn\u2019t. I knew this. In all our years of friendship, we\u2019d never actually shared a pizza. It always came down to ordering two so I didn\u2019t have to choke down the gross concoction she called pizza toppings.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cJust wait,\u201d I warned Ham.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cWhat the fuck could be worse than pineapple on pizza?\u201d Ace asked.<\/span>
<\/span>I looked at Max. \u201cTell them,\u201d I said with a flick of my wrist, indicating she proceed.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cI like pineapple, olives, green pepper, and some kind of meat, but I\u2019ll take whatever,\u201d she stated, unabashed.<\/span>
<\/span>Ham blinked, stared at her, then blinked again. It seemed to drag out for a solid minute. Then he found the response of, \u201cThat\u2019s the most disgusting fucking pizza order I\u2019ve ever heard.\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cIt\u2019s good!\u201d Max insisted.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cToots, in what universe do pineapple and marinara go together?\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>Did he just call her toots? He totally did. And it wasn\u2019t in a funny, fifties throwback way. He just called her that by rote.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cOh, yeah. I forgot. I also don\u2019t get sauce on it,\u201d Max enlightened him.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cYou get sauceless, pineapple, olive, green pepper, and mystery meat pizza?\u201d Ham verified.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cYep.\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>Ham looked at me with what seemed to be a bit of concern on his face. \u201cWhere the hell did you find her?\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>I laughed. \u201cWe were roommates in college. Randomly put together freshman year.\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>He looked between us, then smiled in a way I could only describe as salacious.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cDamn, I am getting a beautiful picture right now,\u201d he said.<\/span>
<\/span>I didn\u2019t inform him the actual picture wasn\u2019t all that great. Mostly, we sat around in sweatpants studying or watching Netflix. Why all men thought women being alone together meant the clothes just disappeared, I did not know. If I had to guess, I would probably blame porn.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cBefore you start picturing it, I was religious about making sure there was a sock on the door and a warning text, and Quinn heeded both every time,\u201d Max informed him.<\/span>
<\/span>That was true. Max gave me as much warning as she could manage before bringing guys to our room, and I was fortunate enough to never accidentally miss any of those warnings and walk in on something I did not want to see.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cNot enough to kill the dream,\u201d Ham muttered.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cUnless she\u2019s held out on me, I\u2019m pretty sure there was no lesbian experimentation either,\u201d Ace added. I gasped and slapped his shoulder.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cNot in the room anyway,\u201d Max muttered.<\/span>
<\/span>I gasped again. \u201cSeriously? You never told me that!\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>She shrugged. \u201cIt was one time at a party. A bunch of frat guys dared us to make out. Nothing special. She was a good kisser, though.\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>Ham cursed in a way that made it clear her words offered a mix of pain and pleasure.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cIt\u2019s why I let her slide into second base before I shut it down,\u201d Max went on.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cOkay!\u201d I cut in. \u201cHow about we get back to the pizza?\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cBuzzkill,\u201d Ham said under his breath.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cDon\u2019t worry,\u201d Max assured quietly, but not quietly enough, \u201cI\u2019ll tell you the whole story later if you\u2019re good.\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cBaby, I can be as good as you fuckin\u2019 want.\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>Turning to Ace, I spoke soft enough the other wouldn\u2019t hear. \u201cI don\u2019t think I want to eat meals with the two of them ever again.\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cNoted,\u201d he replied, grinning at my discomfort.<\/span>
<\/span>Jerk.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cHow insistent are you on the pineapple thing?\u201d Ace asked then, getting Ham and Max\u2019s attention back on us.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cCompletely,\u201d she and I both answered\u2014her firm, me resigned.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cNo way in fuck I\u2019m eating pineapple on fuckin\u2019 pizza with no sauce,\u201d Ham stated. I was pretty sure that was seconded by me and Ace without asking. He went on. \u201cNot eatin\u2019 pineapple at all.\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cWhy not?\u201d Max asked. \u201cIt\u2019s good for you. And guys really should.\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cWhy?\u201d I had the distinct sense I would regret the question as soon as the word left my mouth.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cBecause it\u2019s supposed to make their cum taste sweeter.\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>Good Lord. I was right. I didn\u2019t want to know.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cCan we please just order food?\u201d I asked, my face on fire.<\/span>
<\/span>Max ended up with a pizza\u2014if you could call her monstrosity that\u2014of her own, while Ham, Ace, and I shared a classic pepperoni.<\/span>
<\/span>We\u2019d all finished our meals, with only Max\u2019s pizza having any leftovers, when Daz came striding in.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cFuck yeah, pizza!\u201d he exclaimed.<\/span>
<\/span>He flipped open the box for the extra large the guys had destroyed with only a little help from me, then moved to Max\u2019s, looking at it for a second before asking, \u201cWhat\u2019s on this?\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>We answered, and he stood there for a long moment before shrugging and taking a slice.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cYou\u2019re gonna eat that shit?\u201d Ham asked.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cStill food. Besides, pineapple\u2019s supposed to make your cum taste better,\u201d he replied.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cSee?\u201d Max cried.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cWe both need new friends,\u201d I declared, and Ace laughed. \u201cI\u2019m only kind of joking,\u201d I informed him.<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cThink we\u2019re stuck with the ones we\u2019ve got,\u201d he replied, just as Max shouted, \u201cBitch, you\u2019re stuck with me!\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cSo much for being able to pick your friends.\u201d<\/span>
<\/span>Ace pulled me in close to his side, until I had no choice but to settle my head against his shoulder. As he did, I watched Max\u2019s face get soft.<\/span>
<\/span>Maybe my best friend wasn\u2019t so bad after all.<\/span><\/div>\n
