Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Jolanthe Aleksander
\nJolanthe is a Marine Corps Brat and proud of it. The nomadic life of the military helped develop her love of reading and books became her friend.<\/p>\n

A dancer, Jolanthe was a member of the CBA team the Fury and appeared in several productions in the area theatres circuit. She gave up her role of dancer\/actress for her greatest role to date, that of Mother to a son who reminds her every day to find joy in the simplest of things and to use her imagination.<\/p>\n

Missing the stage, and at the prompting of some on-line friends, Jolanthe gave rp-ing with an internet group a try. There she found and developed her skill as a writer.
\nWhen not working, writing, or keeping up with her son, Jolanthe can be found scouring antique shops, used bookstores, and of course, reading.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

When and Why did you start to write?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Years ago, I used to write poetry. I started story telling writing when I joined an on-line rp group.
\nThere were several people in the group who decided to had decided to do NaNoWriMo and I thought, why not give it a shot. <\/span><\/p>\n

What authors do you always read or suggest to others?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\nHannah Howell, Francis Statham Patton, Lynn Kurland, Diana Gabaldon
\nJR Ward, Christine Warren, Patricia Briggs, Jory Strong, Lora Leigh
\nAnne Bishop, Savannah Verte, Cherise Sinclair, Jenna Jacob, Eden Bradley, Sierra Cartwright
\nThese are just a few of my favorites. <\/span><\/p>\n

What is the most surprising thing you have found out with the writing process?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

While writing the second book of The Veil series, I have found that pantsing, which worked well with the first book, doesn’t work so well when continuing a story. At least it hasn’t for me. lol
\nI’ve also found that I’m not as fast a writer as I would like to think I am. lol<\/span><\/p>\n

What are you working on now?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Right now, I’m working on getting The Veiled Path to Destiny~The Veil Book 2 finished and to press. <\/span><\/p>\n

When writing are you a pantser or plotter?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I would say that I straddle both worlds at the moment, but I’m leaning more and more to becoming a plotter.<\/span><\/p>\n
