I received this book for an honest review.<\/p>\n

I w super excited to get this book.\u00a0 I loved the character\u2019s name *Wink* plus some BDSM, a love triangle annnd a 2nd<\/sup> chance love story toooooo\u2026.YES PLEASE!!\u00a0 This book is allllll meeeee!!\u00a0 So when I got the ARC I waited for vacation.\u00a0 I wanted to be sure to sit and just READ this book from cover to cover. Then I was stoked to see all the great reviews annnnnd now there is mine\u2026\u2026.<\/p>\n

So yeah, I dunno.\u00a0 I just didn\u2019t love it like I thought\/hoped I would.\u00a0 I kinda didn\u2019t really like the lead character.\u00a0 I found myself kinda just wanting the guys to walk away and be like \u201cPeace out\u201d.\u00a0 I liked the guys well enough and the scenes were super hawt yes but ..uhm\u2026yeah it just didn\u2019t click for me.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Maybe I am the odd ball here but I just wanted something more of substance for her???\u00a0 But maybe it\u2019s because she was more \u201cone-night stand\u201d girl then looking for love girl.\u00a0 Hell, I dunno.<\/p>\n

\u201cFunny, sometimes you can tell because their name just fits them. I would never guess you for an Angie.\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cWhy would you say that?\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
He taps his lower lip with a long, deft finger, and I\u2019m instantly distracted by the thought of what that finger could do.<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know. Just something told me that wasn\u2019t you. You and Ashley were the only two people I couldn\u2019t find any pictures of or any info on really. You guys are smart, or should I add, private.\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cLet\u2019s go with private.\u201d I wink, which makes him raise his eyebrows. I can tell I\u2019m the oldest in the class, and the mad professor here seems to be closer to my age, but I\u2019m still trying to figure out what his name is. \u201cCan I play your little game?\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
His lips push together as he nods his head in interest. \u201cBy all means. Do you want the class list?\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cNo, I bet I can guess your name.\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
His head moves up and down slowly. \u201cTake your best shot.\u201d His arms open wide, allowing me to fully take in every part of him.<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cLet\u2019s see. I know it starts with a C by my registration, but you have that whole nerdy, indie vibe going on, so I\u2019m going to rule out Chris, Charlie, and Cameron.\u201d The barely noticeable lift to his lips tells me that neither of those is his name, so I start naming off every C name I can think of, waiting for any type of reaction to show in his features. \u201cChristian, Caleb, Connor, Cody, Colin, Cole\u2014\u201d The twitch in his eye makes me stop. I pause, looking him up and down before slightly tilting my head in recognition. \u201cNice to meet you, Cole.\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
The grin covering his face makes me sit back in my chair. Yup, I\u2019m made for this.<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cNicely done, Angie. The master gets beat at his own game. After class you\u2019re going to have to tell me more about how you did that.\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cAnytime,\u00a0Professor Spence<\/i>,\u201d I say in a flirtatious way.<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
His eyes meet mine for what I think is a second too long for a student\/teacher moment, but I don\u2019t mind. When they break away, he addresses everyone else, \u201cThis course is going to be interactive, and I encourage participation. So, everyone get up, move closer, and gather around Mrs. Smith here.\u201d He returns my earlier wink before turning back around and writing his name across the board.<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
I\u2019m intrigued by his lecture the entire night, and yeah, a lot of it was because he\u2019s easy on the eye. I also happen to love the way he challenges people and really gets us involved.<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
When he says good night, I turn to gather my things and am startled when I hear, \u201cAngie, can I talk to you for a minute?\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
My eyes meet with a fellow female student, who I shoot a smile before turning around. \u201cSure, Professor Spence.\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
As I approach his desk, he\u2019s gathering his paperwork to put into his backpack. He stops and turns to face me, leaning against the back of the desk and crossing his arms in front of his body. \u201cSo tell me, how did you guess my name?\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
I tilt my head to the side, showing him the slightest grin. \u201cWell, that\u2019s my little secret. Just like you said, though, you can learn a lot about a person if you pay close enough attention.\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cI\u2019m impressed. Still can\u2019t believe I got your name wrong. First time that little game didn\u2019t work out for me fully. Please tell me Angie isn\u2019t your real name. Give me some kind of hope.\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
I close my eyes, smiling but nodding my head slightly. \u201cOkay, I\u2019ll give you that. Angie isn\u2019t my birth name. I legally changed it years ago.\u201d I can\u2019t believe I just told him that. No one here in San Francisco, or hell, in California, knows that Angie isn\u2019t my real name. For some reason, I felt comfortable enough in this moment to admit it.<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cOkay, I feel a little bit better now, like I\u2019m not a complete failure at my own game. But how did you know mine?\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cI was already trying to guess what it was before you even spoke. I guess I like to play little games, too.\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
He laughs. \u201cThat doesn\u2019t answer my question, though.\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cI looked at what you were wearing, how you walked, your body type, the fact that you carry a Vans backpack instead of a briefcase.\u201d I pick up his backpack to prove my point. \u201cThen, just like you, I paid attention and took a gamble. I guess you can say I\u2019m good at reading facial expressions. You gave it away when your eye twitched slightly after I said Cole.\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cNicely done. You just might be cut out for this lawyer thing after all. So do I get to know your real name?\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
I shake my head. \u201cNope, sorry. To you and everyone else, I\u2019m Angie.\u201d I start to walk away but look over my shoulder. \u201cNo offense, though.\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
I hear him chuckle as he says, \u201cNone taken. See you\u00a0Wednesday<\/span><\/span>, Mrs. Smith.\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
I turn back again, giving him a quick smile before saying, \u201cIt\u2019s miss.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
