I received this book from the authors for an honest review.<\/p>\n

This book picks up right after the end of Sanctuary, Book 1.\u00a0 The guys have gone after and killed Foster.\u00a0 Leeza is a broken woman.\u00a0 She is sad the pack is upset at her for not protecting a younger female of the family but wishes things were different.\u00a0 When Gemma mentions her rape, Leeza goes ape shit.\u00a0 Nope sorry people she was not raped, and this untrue fact is why she gets the sad eyes from her pack members.<\/p>\n

Leeza is a feisty woman.\u00a0 When she confronts the brothers, it was my favorite scene.\u00a0 She makes sure to set them straight on what they as her pack elders have done wrong and how they have let her down plus the memory of her brother, the old pack alpha, down.<\/p>\n

Cole feels like a class A Jerk for not listening to Leeza, his mate.\u00a0 He feels like an idiot for only thinking of his pain at not protecting her and not her pain at being attacked.<\/p>\n

The two have some issues to overcome like his over the top alpha behavior at bossing her around.\u00a0 Leeza is a strong, independent female who wants a partner not a dictator to love.\u00a0 Cole needs to learn that females have wants and desires besides being cared for on a pedestal.\u00a0 She wants to be involved in the pack plus earn her way.<\/p>\n

I liked the story.\u00a0 There wasn\u2019t much conflict in this story, but it is set up for the drama to come in the next book.\u00a0 Looks like Foster\u2019s issues may not be out of the pack\u2019s picture juuuuuuust yet.<\/p>\n
