I received this book from the author for an honest review.<\/p>\n

I was asked to read this book and really was just jumping at the whole \u201cenemies to lovers\u201d.\u00a0 Who can turn away from bitter rivals who finally can see how wrong they are about the other and then to fall in love after is the icing on the cake right??\u00a0 Ok well I can\u2019t see past that any way, so I jumped.\u00a0 I did read the prequal for the book that gives us a look at the characters when they were in high school.\u00a0 It also gives us insight to the side characters who will also be getting books as well.<\/p>\n

Declan and Mak are two very stubborn individuals who will not look past preconceived notions of the other for more then one second.\u00a0 They are both very attracted and have a spark but Mak can\u2019t let anyone in because of her drive.\u00a0 Dec can\u2019t fail because he has to achieve his goal of being a professional hockey player.<\/p>\n

The chemistry and build up for the couple is a slow burn but to be honest that is what makes it believable.\u00a0 There were a few times it might have been a bit too slow but hey I am ok with extra-long angst.\u00a0 These two people come a long way from pure hatred and indifference to seeing the real person the other is to finally be accepting of the other person for who they are and what they are.<\/p>\n

The sexy times are really nicely written and very sexy indeed.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0I enjoyed the banter and barbs they both gave in the story because it was first their way to cope and diffuse the situations but then I looked at it as their way to show affection and acceptance.<\/p>\n

I cant wait to read more from the series.\u00a0 I wanna know about Emmet and Avery!!\u00a0 These two are killing me!!<\/p>\n
