Pouring milk\u00a0into my mug, I watch the black and white colors swirl together until they turn\u00a0a pretty caramel. I didn\u2019t sleep well, and the creamy mix is exactly what the doctor ordered. Hurrying, I flick the sugar packet and dump its contents.
\nThe door behind me opens as I toss the spoon into the sink and lift the mug to
\nmy lips. The satisfying liquid warms my insides, and I can\u2019t help my sigh even
\nif I tried.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cRough night?\u201d a velvety voice asks.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
I take another\u00a0sip of my glorious cup of joe before turning toward Mario. He started working in the Reference Department three months ago and has featured in a few of\u00a0my dirty dreams. He\u2019s gorgeous and about six feet three inches. Dark, tall, and handsome would describe him to a T.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
I shrug and force my mind from the gutter. He brushes past me and grabs the spoon I just discarded. The first time I saw him do this, I yelped in protest, but it seemed he really was another gross college guy.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
One with full kissable lips.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cYou\u2019re quiet\u00a0this morning,\u201d he says and leans against the counter next to me.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
After the episode\u00a0with Tristan last night, I can\u2019t help but stare a second longer. \u201cNo, just a date.\u201d The words spill from my mouth. \u201cI mean, I was up late.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Mario\u2019s mug freezes halfway to his lips, and an eyebrow raises as he stares at me.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cFuck!\u201d I slap\u00a0a hand over my mouth in horror. My heart races, and I know my cheeks are bright pink. \u201cI gotta go.\u201d I squealed and run out of the break room.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Great job, Izzy! Now he thinks you were up all night fucking.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Calling myself a string of insults, I take the elevator down to the copy office. See, we both work in our college library in different departments. I keep the copy machines\u00a0and printers stocked with paper and toner, and Mario does whatever the students in Reference do.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
We both tend to be in the break room grabbing coffee in the mornings at the same time.
\nIf I\u2019m lucky, I get a glimpse of him when I do my rounds. Our conversations
\naren\u2019t long, usually revolving around our mutual love of coffee. His doesn\u2019t
\ninclude milk, but his love of coffee runs as deep as mine. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
I<\/span><\/span>\u00a0walk<\/span><\/div>\n
around the corner and sigh with relief when I find the door closed. My boss,
\nJerry, isn\u2019t in yet, and I know he\u2019ll tease me if he spots the blush still on
\nmy cheeks. Jerry is old enough to be my dad and is the best boss I\u2019ve had, not that there have been many.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Kicking the doorstop\u00a0under the wooden door, I prop it open. I set my mug on the long counter and take a quick peek at the staplers and empty the pencil sharpener set out for students to pop in and use. My body goes into autopilot, and Mario\u2019s lips come to mind. I wonder if they are they as soft as they look?<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
I reluctantly\u00a0remind myself he\u2019s out of my league. It\u2019s not that I don\u2019t think
\nI\u2019m pretty. I am, but I\u2019m not the girl all the boys come sniffing around.
\nThey\u2019ll look in my direction, but few take the next step. Of those who do, none are as handsome as Mario.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Cute, funny and fast read! Most everyone has had to deal with dating\u2026..nowadays everything is social media and dating apps. Izzy decides she is going to give the online dating thing a try. Swipe left or swipe right? That\u2019s the question. Thank the gods above that this girl has an amazing friend in Val that helps to keep her head on straight and make sure she is ok with all these crazy as hell dates. Izzy has gone on some dates that you just can\u2019t make up. Just when you think the person is ok or that you should give them a shot their true colors show and then you realize just how far in the crazy house you have gone, LOL! In the midst of everything Izzy has this incredible tall and dark drink of water that she works with but he always finds her in the most embarrassing of situations. She knows he is hot as hell but that he is too good for her. Once she has so many unlucky dates she decides to cool it and then she and Mario decide to date. The entire book is cute and funny with the crazy shenanigans that Izzy and the other characters go through. It is a fast and fun read that will definitely lift your spirits.
