I know, so cliche\u2019 right? I can\u2019t help it! This is one of my favorite vampire series and I think with each new story I say \u201cThis is my favorite in the series\u201d. I am not sure how the author will top this one. I really, really, really love Gage\u2019s and Ace\u2019s story! And this one is a slow burn. But a perfect\u2026..slow\u2026…burn\u2026..<\/span><\/p>\n In the past books we never did find out exactly how old Gage is but only know that he is old and very strong. Well guess what? We find out now! This hawt as hell drummer just happens to be in the right place at the right time to save Ace who is in the wrong place at the wrong time. She can\u2019t seem to steer clear of trouble and when trouble is there, so is Gage. He wants nothing to do with Ace. He can\u2019t dream of being in love with anyone. He doesn\u2019t want to condemn the person he loves to the type of life he has had to live as a vampire and never wants to fall in love with a human that he will have to watch grow old and die. Ace is a tough female and is perfect for this story. She gives Gage a run for his money. But when both of their pasts come to a head the story really gets interesting. There are so many twists and turns and craziness that will keep you turning the pages. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThere were so many wrongs to this situation and simply not enough rights.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI knew deep in my heart that I\u2019d been waiting all these years for this man. When he ended the kiss my soul felt lost, empty, and I wanted him back, closer.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Protected By a Vampire will not just be a memory for you. This is a must read and then a must re-read! Gimme more!<\/span><\/p>\n Susan writes paranormal and contemporary romance–steamy and sexy are the way they usually turn out. She’s a huge fan of superheroes and bad boys confronted with extraordinary forces of nature, powers, and abilities beyond the norm mixed with hot, blow-your-socks-off romance.<\/p>\n She grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania doing a lot of daydreaming. It’s no big surprise that she writes romance stories, since many nights as a child she would lay awake fantasizing about her knight in shining armor.<\/p>\n Her wild imagination sparked her first story at the age of twelve; a story that her sixth grade teacher adopted for the class play that year. Having never achieved fame and fortune for that play, she attempted life the normal way with other activities, such as, working as a food lab technician, bartender, and cell phone repair technician, and a mom.<\/p>\n Now she lives in Northern California with a gorgeous view of Folsom Lake from her office where she stills spends a lot of time daydreaming. She loves to drink wine and fortunately there are several local wineries close by. Together, she and her modern day knight have five great superhero kids and nine mini-superhero grandkids, so far.
