Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hello, Twinsies! I’m A.D. Ellis and I’m a mom of a 14-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son. I’ve been teaching for 21 years with twenty years in the inner-city of Indianapolis. I’ve taught grades 1st through 5th with the last five years in alternative education. I’ve now moved out of the classroom and I’m loving my new position as Instructional Coach at an inner-city school.
\nI write romance. I’ve been writing since 2014. I’m a hybrid author, but the majority of my books are self-published. My first series is small-town contemporary romance, but I’ve recently found my love in writing M\/M gay romance. Books 24 and 25 are soon to be published with 26-28 in the works.<\/span><\/p>\n

When you are writing, what are some go to’s that you needs? IE Foods to eat, noise level, place to sit.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I do a lot of writing on the couch with headphones while the hubster or kids watch television or my son plays video games. I usually have a variety of music playing. I need it either completely quiet OR some good music or nature sounds playing to write. I love going to a coffee shop to write (but I don’t drink coffee, so they have to have a good tea!)<\/span><\/p>\n

What are you favorite things about attending signings?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I love hanging with author and reader friends and meeting new readers!<\/span><\/p>\n

What author would you love to meet (Who is your unicorn author)?<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve actually been super lucky to either be friends with some favorite authors or I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some of my favorites. <\/span><\/p>\n

When you are writing, do you have a consistent schedule where you write every day at the same time or are you a sit and go on different days to get it done kinda person?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I teach all day and spend a lot of time taxiing my children to school things, so I’m often swamped or exhausted. But I try to write in the evenings, on weekends, and during breaks from school<\/span><\/p>\n

What is your favorite memory so far as an author?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Oh, so many! All the fun events, signings, trips, meetings, lunches, parties, etc. I just love hanging with my author friends and readers!<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you have a book that is your most prized possession? What is it and why is it so amazing?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Books from my childhood mean the most to me because they were what my mom read to me to instill my love of reading.<\/span><\/p>\n
