Sadie Walsh is used to being cooped up while writing romance novels. Evan is not taking things well nor being locked down in an apartment by himself but when he sees his neighbor on the balcony and things start to look up.

I enjoyed the banter between Evan and Sadie. Talk about two total opposites. Evan is in the public eye and watches what he eats. Sadie is used to being locked up in her apartment trying to get every word down on the pages while eating snacks all day. I loved getting to know each one of them. The chemistry between these two was great to see how they navigate this quarantine and get to know one another better.

This is a cute little insta-love book. Even though they are quarantined in separate apartments only seeing each other on the balcony they have some hot and steamy scenes and there are some sweet scenes too. I have to say I also liked the interactions with some of the side characters too. Kylie and Audrey did a good job of making feel what Evan and Sadie were feeling. I found myself falling for these two, even getting mad, sad and happy at the same time they were going through those emotions.

I received this book for free from the author for an honest review.

I loved this funny insta-love between Sadie, the romance writer and Evan, the football player hiding out from the press.

The story begins and we totally get how both characters feel…cool we get to stay home for a few days and then WHAT We can’t go anywhere?? I mean I think we all felt both when the shelter in places happened in the USA. I know I was down for it until I realized I as stuck at home…LOL Evan and Sadie begin a sweet balcony banter then grows to a bit more because when you are alone in a house you will talk to anyone after a few days!! Evan giving Sadie some beer and chips in the beginning to try and sweet talk his neighbor into chatting to help his long days not be so long made me smile.

I loved the banter and the chemistry between the two characters. I loved seeing them start with just chats on the balcony to texting to MORE *Wiggles eye brows* But what I liked was the secondary story of COVID-19 running through the town. It was real. It was what we have been dealing with daily and so I liked that Kylie and Audrey brought the realize of the virus to the story.

There was some drama besides the virus like who set up Evan and the book Drama of Sadie but I liked how it is all touched on in the story and we can see that you can fall in love with someone in the worst circumstances.

SADIE

Okay, reposition feet hip-distance apart and centered on the mat.
