Had our own rock band. It didn\u2019t matter that he was five years older than me. It didn\u2019t matter that he looked at me as a kid sister even as I grew into woman. It didn\u2019t even matter when he left me behind to go to college and start his adult life.<\/p>\n He\u2019d be back. He came back, all right. But instead of smelling of promises, he stunk of betrayal. And he destroyed me\u2014us\u2014the day he married my sister instead of me.<\/p>\n So I did the only thing a girl like me in my position could do.<\/p>\n I got my revenge. ***mature content appropriate for 18+<\/i><\/p>\n \n \n \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n I received this book from the author for an honest review.<\/p>\n *Big breath in and out. Wipes my teary eyes and looks at my lappy trying to figure out how in the heck I am going to write a review for this book of amazingness without just blabbing and telling you the whole sorted story.*<\/p>\n Maverick\u2026she has loved and I mean whole heart loved Killian her entire life.\u00a0 She has grown up knowing he will be her forever.\u00a0 Promises made and kisses stolen but yet he comes home to destroy her by marrying her sister.<\/p>\n Kael is Killian\u2019s younger brother who has loved Mav his entire life.\u00a0 He has been by her side for everything.\u00a0 He has helped her when she fell and celebrated with her for every victory. He has also loved her for as long as he can remember.\u00a0 When he married her he really and truly married the woman of his dreams.\u00a0 Too bad she didn\u2019t return that love.<\/p>\n Killian was doing the right thing by Mav.\u00a0 He was waiting for her to grow up but he was plotting to have a forever with her but then everything changed in the blink of an eye.<\/p>\n The story killed me. \u00a0The very first chapter you can see a whole lotta emotion\u2026\u2026 We can feel Mav and Killian\u2019s chemistry but at the same time I am rooting for Kael.\u00a0 We can see how much he loves and had loved Mav.\u00a0 He was there to heal her heart after Killian betrayed her.\u00a0 He was slowly becoming her everything and my heart was so happy for our couple\u2026.and then\u2026BOOM\u2026the closet flies open. Everything changed in the blink of an eye.\u00a0 The book made me a mess. Who do I want Mav with?\u00a0 Kael or Killian?\u00a0 Her present or her past?\u00a0 Her best friend or her forever love???\u00a0 Is she destined to be a Swan or a Small Fry???\u00a0 I loved and hated each man at different times in the book for different reasons but then when we find out why they did things\u2026\u2026\u2026..omg my heart would just bust wide open for them.<\/p>\n I am a huge fan on KL\u2019s writings and she is an auto buy for me because her writing is flawless and has so much emotional depth in it.\u00a0 If you haven\u2019t read her stuff, you are missing out and need to one click the rest of her library.\u00a0 If you already are a fan this book will make your heart skip a few beats like every other book you have read.<\/p>\n I\u2019m just a regular ol\u2019 Midwest girl who likes Game of Thrones and am obsessed with Modern Family and The Goldbergs. I run, I eat, I run, I eat. It\u2019s a vicous cycle. I love carbs, but there\u2019s love-hate relationship with my ass and thighs. Mostly hate. I like a good cocktail (oh hell\u2026who am I kidding? I love any cocktail). I\u2019m a huge creature of habit, but I\u2019ll tell you I\u2019m flexible. I read every single day and if I don\u2019t get a chance\u2026watch the hell out, I\u2019m a raving bitch. My iPad and me: BFFs. I\u2019m direct and I make no apologies for it. I swear too much. I love alternative music and in my next life I want to be a bad-ass female rocker.
