There is so much action and things going on that kept me flipping the pages. The holly crap that just happened came to mind several times in this book.

Raize is in the mafia and acquires “Girl” or is it Brooke or Carrie…really what is a name with this girl she keeps changing it to stay alive. No on can figure out what her real agenda is or it could be her end. She is a strong and sassy heroin at times. Raize wanted her for her abilities that makes her valuable to Raize even though she does not like when she is made to use it.

Raize is a stone-cold killer and is unreadable at times. He trusts no one but Girl is different. He only has a select team around him. If you thought or found out you were not with him, he had no problem putting you down. I did enjoy seeing the dynamics between Raize, his team and Girl.

I don’t want to give anything away in this look because it was so good. I thoroughly enjoyed learning things as it all unraveled. There is so many twists and turns and SAY WHAT! I didn’t see that coming during this read. I also liked who Tijan brought in a few characters from her other books even if it was just for a moment it was nice to see them and how they interacted with Raize or how they help move the story.

Excerpt

“I…” I didn’t even know.
