When you are writing a book, which is harder? The first book in the series or the others after it?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The first book as it lays the foundation for everything else you write after.<\/span><\/p>\n

When writing a series how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I try to think outside of the box, like intersperses matings, crossing continental divides to help the species as a whole and challenging the characters beyond their limits.<\/span><\/p>\n

Writing can be an emotionally draining and stressful pursuit. Any tips for aspiring writers?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Keep writing but remember self care is just as important as the deadline. A stressed writer is no bueno.<\/span><\/p>\n

On a typical day, how much time do you spend writing?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Depends on the season. I average 4 to 10 hrs a week. A full time job and family that\u2019s all I a lot at this time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you have a favorite character that you have written? If so, who? And what makes them so special.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Diego so far. He took me into his darkness and showed me that even characters like him deserve love. He also showed me how far someone will go for that love. His darker scenes were some of my favorite to write.<\/span><\/p>\n

If any of your books were to be made into a movie, who are the celebrities that would star in it? What book and who?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I would say His One True Mate. With Matthew McConaughey as Leo and Kate Hudson as Kat. <\/span><\/p>\n

What is your definition of success?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Writing a book that readers love and that can inspire others to follow their dreams of writing themselves. Eventually the monetary side will also be a success, but for now the above are my successes.<\/span><\/p>\n
