Gina has a lot of things going against her. She has self esteem issues because of her large nose, was tortured throughout school, and to top it all off, her family is connected to the mob. Gina has come to terms that she is going to be alone for the rest of her life but she has made the most of it and has given her all to her career. While at a wedding that she planned (she is a wedding planner), she gets put on blast as she and the hottest cop in town are put on the kiss cam. It was wonderful but definitely short lived. She is once again humiliated. I know that a lot of reviews for this book are not happy that she is so hard on herself but she has been through some tough times and I think it is needed to really understand where she is coming from, and how others see her. But now that she and the cop have this \u201cthing\u201d, she is dealing with the fact that her family has mob connections and Ford is a detective. How does this work exactly? Well, secrets are kept, fun is had, and hard decisions need to be made. There are many times that I smiled throughout the story and even chuckled to myself. I thought it was a well thought out story and I very much enjoyed it. Gina has a lot of things going against her. She has self esteem issues because of her large nose, was tortured throughout school, and to top it all off, her family is connected to the mob. Gina has come to terms that she is going to be alone for the rest of her life but she has made the most of it and has given her all to her career. While at a wedding that she planned (she is a wedding planner), she gets put on blast as she and the hottest cop in town are put on the kiss cam. It was wonderful but definitely short lived. She is once again humiliated. I know that a lot of reviews for this book are not happy that she is so hard on herself but she has been through some tough times and I think it is needed to really understand where she is coming from, and how others see her. But now that she and the cop have this \u201cthing\u201d, she is dealing with the fact that her family has mob connections and Ford is a detective. How does this work exactly? Well, secrets are kept, fun is had, and hard decisions need to be made. There are many times that I smiled throughout the story and even chuckled to myself. I thought it was a well thought out story and I very much enjoyed it.
