Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Serenity Rayne. Wife, mother, nurse and for the last three years a writer. I write strong female main characters that don’t need to be saved. I want the next generations of women to know that no matter what we have gone through, we can over come it if we try. <\/span><\/p>\n

When you are writing a book, which is harder? The first book in the series or the others after it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Usually the first. I get general ideas or dreams about a new series. Getting all of the ducks in a row some days is like herding cats with a garden hose. <\/span><\/p>\n

When writing a series how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I usually try to pick a topic. The Aurora Marelup Saga was about dealing with loss and chasing after a goal to completion. The Dark Angel Chronicles is about healing from years of emotional abuse and the angelic version of racism (wing color). <\/span><\/p>\n

Writing can be an emotionally draining and stressful pursuit. Any tips for aspiring writers?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Not to force the words. Have a group of friends that you can talk to about whats stressing you and deal with it before burn out happens. <\/span><\/p>\n

On a typical day, how much time do you spend writing?<\/strong><\/p>\n

honestly it depends on the day. sometimes several hours sometimes not for a few days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you have a favorite character that you have written? If so, who? And what makes them so special.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Honestly, its a toss up between Kol from Once Upon a Raven and Dimitri from the Aurora Marelup Saga. Kol is an antihero and in the end he dies with the woman he loves. Dimitri, his patience and love he has for Aurora through all the different phases of their lives together. <\/span><\/p>\n

If any of your books were to be made into a movie, who are the celebrities that would star in it? What book and who?<\/strong><\/p>\n
