When you are writing a book, which is harder? The first book in the series or the others after it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first book is the hardest for me because it sets the tone for the rest of the series. I always want to make sure to make the first book as strong and exciting as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

When writing a series how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lots of jokes! I like writing snarky, quirky characters who aren’t afraid to joke around. That’s one of my favorite ways to keep stories fun.<\/span><\/p>\n

Writing can be an emotionally draining and stressful pursuit. Any tips for aspiring writers?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Set goals but keep in mind that your goal doesn’t have to be the same as other people. <\/span><\/p>\n

On a typical day, how much time do you spend writing?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Usually about eight hours!<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you have a favorite character that you have written? If so, who? And what makes them so special.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cosmo in “The Dragon’s Fake Fiancee” is one of my favorite characters because he’s so feisty! Ekpen in “Grimalkin Needs Brides” is another favorite.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is your definition of success?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Making my readers smile. <\/span><\/p>\n
