Darlene Kuncytes – I’m a native Ohioan who swears I came out of the womb with a book in my hand and a story on my lips! I’m a proud coffee addict that believes you should always find the funny in everyday life!<\/span><\/p>\n

When you are writing a book, which is harder? The first book in the series or the others after it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Right now, I’m working on book 4 in my Supernatural Desire Series, and it has been a slow go. Book 4 will be the last in this series, so it is much harder for me to write, and I think it’s because I know that I’m saying goodbye to these characters that I love so much.<\/span><\/p>\n

When writing a series how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each book in my series features a different set of main characters, yet the other characters show up in each other’s books, so I get to continue to allow the characters to grow and develop and that for me is a blast. I will also change locations and of course the situations in each book is different.<\/span><\/p>\n

Writing can be an emotionally draining and stressful pursuit. Any tips for aspiring writers?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Breathe. Let the characters speak to you. And don’t push it. Your readers will feel it if it’s forced.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

On a typical day, how much time do you spend writing?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Not nearly enough. lol Right now that is my biggest problem. I just never have the time I need. <\/span><\/p>\n

Do you have a favorite character that you have written? If so, who? And what makes them so special.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That is one of the hardest questions to answer. I love my characters so much. All of them. If I had to choose, I would say Desmond from A Vampire’s Saving Embrace. He was my first, lol. But I also love how he evolves throughout the books in a wonderful and subtle way.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

What is your definition of success?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Having readers come to you and tell you that they love what you do. <\/span><\/p>\n
