My name is Tricia Andersen. I write all sorts of romance – paranormal, Greek god, fighter, contemporary, historical and fantasy. I live in Iowa with my husband. I also have three children and my four-legged baby, Kinnick. <\/span><\/p>\n

When you are writing a book, which is harder? The first book in the series or the others after it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I think the first book is the hardest because I have to create the world I am writing about along with the characters. When I work on the additional books in the series, those details are already there. <\/span><\/p>\n

When writing a series how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I like to dive deeper into the world I set up or expose something about a character that the reader didn\u2019t know. I also like to introduce action scenes to keep it face paced. <\/span><\/p>\n

Writing can be an emotionally draining and stressful pursuit. Any tips for aspiring writers?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t give up. It can be overwhelming but getting that book out is definitely possible. Slow your pace until it feels manageable again.<\/span><\/p>\n

On a typical day, how much time do you spend writing?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Not enough. Maybe an hour?<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you have a favorite character that you have written? If so, who? And what makes them so special.<\/strong><\/p>\n

My favorite character is Freddy from the Gods of DC series. He\u2019s passionate, snarky and is becoming a phenomenal leader.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b>What is your definition of success?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My definition of success is achieving my dreams. I always wanted to be a writer since I was little. I feel I have been successful. <\/span><\/p>\n
