Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.<\/strong><\/p>\n

My name is S.J. Chaynie, I was born and raised in a tiny town in Texas. I have been married for fourteen years and have two beautiful daughters. I recently found I enjoy writing just as much as reading, so I decided to give it a go and it turns out it\u2019s just the escape I need to keep me from losing my sanity. I cannot live a day without sweet tea and my favorite show of all time is the Golden Girls. I\u2019m also a true crime girl. My husband is currently building our dream home so for the last year I have been writing my books on the fly or in my \u201coffice\u201d which consists of two TV trays shoved together to hold my computer. Life is busy and unpredictable, but I love every second with my family that supports my \u201cdirty\u201d books and the friends I have made in the book community. It really is the best! <\/span><\/p>\n

When you are writing a book, which is harder? The first book in the series or the others after it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I would say the others after because remembering what I already wrote sometimes throws me for a loop! Ha! <\/span><\/p>\n

When writing a series how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I try to write tropes that people want to read and I want to challenge myself to try things out that I\u2019ve never written. <\/span><\/p>\n

Writing can be an emotionally draining and stressful pursuit. Any tips for aspiring writers?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Write when you feel like it. Don\u2019t force it. Sometimes the words just aren\u2019t there. Sometimes you have to take a step back and work on another project, or do some reading. The inspiration will come and that\u2019s when you roll with it. <\/span><\/p>\n

On a typical day, how much time do you spend writing?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It depends. Some days I don\u2019t write at all and other days I may spend an hour or two. Whatever fits my schedule that day. I have a full time job and I\u2019m a mom soooooo\u2026. you get it! <\/span><\/p>\n

Do you have a favorite character that you have written? If so, who? And what makes them so special.<\/strong><\/p>\n

My favorite character I have written is Easton Roy. He\u2019s the main male character in my most recent release. Most of my books have the element of \u201cstaying away\u201d as where Easton\u2019s character is the opposite. He\u2019s actively trying to win the Elle\u2019s heart. Plus he\u2019s a girl dad and he\u2019s just swooonnny. He\u2019s just a genuine character that you can\u2019t help but love.\u00a0\u00a0**Twinsie Angie also is in love with Easton Roy for that book**<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

What is your definition of success?<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the book world, I would say success is making a connection to people. Knowing that something you created reached the heart of someone else. <\/span><\/p>\n

Do you have anything you want to share that didn’t fit on one of these questions?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It makes me SO happy when a reader lets me know they enjoyed my book. <\/span><\/p>\n
