I purchased this book.<\/p>\n

I was pretty excited about this book when I saw it somewhere\u2026..tiktok???\u00a0 Anyway, I jumped and preordered.\u00a0 When the book downloaded I jumped in.\u00a0 I am a huge true crimer.\u00a0 I love to listen to podcasts, read books based on true crimes, and or things published by researchers\/police\/FBI\/etc about crime.\u00a0 Needless to say, SOLD!!!<\/p>\n

I will say the way the story is told seemed like a bunch of term papers published together.\u00a0 It was a different way to weave a story.\u00a0 When we get to the chapters about serial killers, I was disappointed that each person was well know to people like me\u2026crazy crimers.\u00a0 I would have loved to see a new name being discussed with people.\u00a0 Who doesn\u2019t already know Bundy, Dahmer, BTK\u2026etc.<\/p>\n

There is a chapter about true crime podcasts and again the podcasts mentioned were ones that are already popular and one even very controversial given the multiple plagiarism claims against them.\u00a0 Again I would have loved a new podcast or one that is not already established.\u00a0 I have so many that I follow.<\/p>\n

The book is a great start for someone who is just entering the world of true crime. But for me, it was a little bit of a letdown.\u00a0 The writing is great but the content for me fell flat given my status of crazy true crimer follower.<\/p>\n
