I read The Barter System when it first came out. I thought it was a fantastic story then but Shayne McClendon has outdone herself! Shayne has done something with this update that just blew my mind! I loved the original concept of this story and was wondering how she would improve on it. The new depths that she takes each encounter with the subjects just amazed me. I was so impressed with the way she rounded out each subject and showed us a little more of what Riya was thinking. As the story progressed I couldn\u2019t wait to see what she would do with the next subject. Each time I thought \u201dOh, she can\u2019t possibly top that!\u201d SHE DID!! There were a couple of moments that I actually yelled OMG!! I don\u2019t want to give spoilers so all I will say is this is a MUST read!! You will never be the same after reading this story!<\/p>\n
