I was given this book by the author for an honest review.<\/p>\n

When Kylie said she had a Vampire novel I was excited.\u00a0 Paranormal is my favorite genre to read.\u00a0 I do love that Kylie is stretching her writing chops to tackle new subjects and new genres.\u00a0 I have read every book of hers and will continue to do so.<\/p>\n

Skye is a fabulous character who was in the wrong place at the wrong time when she became a meal for a starving just woke up elder vampire.\u00a0 Poor girl.\u00a0 She soon is thrown into a world of violence, betrayal, family, and rules???\u00a0 Crazy right.<\/p>\n

I liked Skye and her character.\u00a0 She was a modern woman who was not to thrilled with Lucas and his old timey ways.\u00a0 Lucas is a hot mess in this time period.\u00a0 Things have changed and he needs to roll with the new times.\u00a0 Henry\u2026he made the book.\u00a0 I loved every sentence he uttered in the book and every single scene.<\/p>\n

SO did I like the book?\u00a0 Yes-ish.\u00a0 The banter with Henry was the best.\u00a0 Its what I love most about Kylie books. Her banter is on point.\u00a0 What I didn\u2019t love was the constant retelling of information when a new character was introduced to the storyline.\u00a0 It felt like too much of the same things.\u00a0 I liked the story line of the new \u201cBoard\u201d vs Lucas and his \u201cold ways\u201d.\u00a0 I also felt like the story was stiff and was almost too slow to get going.\u00a0 By the last few chapters I felt like it was better with the story and flow.<\/p>\n

I would love to see another book since I feel towards the end of the book Kylie got into a good flow with the world and characters.<\/p>\n
