Iris is newly divorced and just when she thinks things are going to get somewhat normal, or that she will finally be able to find a new normal for her, she has no idea of what normal is going to end up being. Life literally gets flipped upside down. Her sister tries to set her up with an occult professor, her garden gnome comes to life, and all of a sudden magic starts to happen! Silly magic, weird magic, big magic and all at a cost. She is trying to learn but also trying to keep it under wraps from her family, especially the teenager.<\/p>\n The story is a quick and easy read. It has plenty of witty banter with all the nonsense that runs through our middle-aged brains but also deals with the real life things too. There is divorce, being a single parent, just trying to survive and start over when life gets upended.
