Kayla is getting ready to move into her new house with her daughter, even though her and her husband built this home together she’s is still going to move in even after his untimely death. Ellie was just a college student trying to make things right, with having African Americans get the same rights and treated the same way as white. but when their worlds collide and they are both on the same street, they have some things in common, but will they help each other try to figure out the secrets of the town and the road they live on or will it also take them too.<\/p>\n

Diane Chamberlain is the New York Times, USA Today and (London) Sunday Times best-selling author of 28 novels. The daughter of a school principal who supplied her with a new book almost daily, Diane quickly learned the emotional power of story. Although she wrote many small \u201cbooks\u201d as a child, she didn\u2019t seriously turn to writing fiction until her early thirties when she was waiting for a delayed doctor\u2019s appointment with nothing more than a pad, a pen, and an idea. She was instantly hooked.<\/p>\n

Diane was born and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey and lived for many years in both San Diego and northern Virginia. She received her master\u2019s degree in clinical social work from San Diego State University.
