MM MARCH MADNESS!!

March 16

Twinsie Talk is proud to present the 3rd Annual MM March Madness – a month to focus on the M/M, F/F, M/M/F, M/F/M authors. We love these books and want to share it with the rest of the world. Each day we will post an interview. We will also include any reviews that we have done on these books as well as links to the books.

Our hope is that you will love this genre as much as we do! <3

Today is devoted to River Mitchell

author bio

I have always been a lover of anything that allows my imagination to fly, movies, music, art and of course books of all genres. The opportunity to slip away to another world and live out all sorts of fantasies was the perfect happy place I needed at times, a great escape. It didn’t take long for my love of reading to transform into a desire to write a book of my very own. But being severely dyslexic I never thought that It would be a possibility. Enter my guardian angel with her unrelenting encouragement and I started out on a rollercoaster journey to make my dream come true. When I am not writing I can often be found listening to rock music, delving into the life of a gorgeous alpha male, drawing and painting or trying to teach my cats Boo fishcake and Edward Elton to play fetch [Don’t ask, they think that they are dogs and I am not going to squash their dreams]. My biggest wish that people can find their happy place in the words I write and hope that I can inspire others to know that if I can do they can do it they can share their worlds and imaginations too.

Tell us about something about you (not included in your normal author bio) that maybe not everyone knows about you.

I love all things quirky that allow self-expression. Why be like everyone else? Tattoos are a form of living art a way to share a part of you with the world without words. The same with fashion or hair color and piercings. Anything and everything that allows people to stand out from the crowd. I love it when someone has the courage to just be them and say “This is me, deal with it.” I truly believe that the world would be a better place if we all embraced our differences and didn’t try and get people to conform to what other deem as “normal”. Who wants to be normal anyway? I am a proud member of the crazy, different, strange and follow the beat of my own drummer club.

There’s been a trend in writing a series. How do you feel about series? Do you write them? Do you think they are easier or harder?

I love books that belong to a series, but what I am not a fan of are cliffhangers. I am far too impatient about waiting for the next installment. As a reader when enjoying a book that belongs in a series I like to have a conclusion to the main character’s journey, I don’t feel it hinders the story to tie up loose ends for the main characters. As a writer I sometimes feel conflicted about when the story should end and what storylines should be carried forward to the next chapter in the series. That is why I try to write a story that can carry on for several books but focus on certain characters for each book. Then both the readers and I get to have our cake and eat it too. A story that keeps you guessing but not with a ton of unanswered questions only the want to keep reading. That is more hope anyway.

Where do you do most of your writing?

Everywhere. When I am writing I can get pretty absorbed into the story and everything else disappears. In a Café, home. As long as I have my computer and inspiration strikes you’ll find me tapping away.

What are you currently reading? Any suggestions for your favorite books (beside your own, of course)?

I am reading Full Domain by Kindle Alexander at the moment. I love all types of genres, some of my favourite M.M Authors and series are Alexa Land First and Forever Series. A.E Via Something Special Series. Jamie Reese The Men of the halfway house series and Mary Calmes Matter of time series.

Do you feel that this genre is growing? And what do you contribute to that growth or decline?

The M/M community is growing every day and I am so excited to be added to the list of Authors that write for the genre. I will say that I have met some of the friendliest and generous people within this community. Not only have I gained some great friends but a lot of the Authors were so kind and helpful with offering advice. My hope is that if ever any one needed help in the future I would be there for them as others were for me.

What is the most surprising thing you have learned about writing?

That whilst I am absorbed in a story I am completely free. Just another of self-expression.

What are you working on now?

I am currently working on the sequel to Succumbing to his Fear. There will be a little snippet at the end of the book.

What is your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night?

I know this is going to make me sound very boring, but I don’t think there is anything better than curling up with a good book. Yes even on a Saturday night. I can hear you saying you boring fart from here.

Tell us about the highest HIGH and lowest LOW in your career so far. How has it changed you?

I am at the very start of my writing career so I have yet to experience many of the ups and downs in the industry. I am very lucking though to be surrounded by the best people. A.E.Via and Tim at Via Star Wings Books are fantastic and have helped my achieve my dream. Jay Aheer is so talented and did my Cover Art and Tina Adamski who edited my book and helped me concur so many fears. They are truly amazing and i can’t express how I grateful I am to each of them.
