Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.
I will tell anyone who asks that I was born about 175 years too late and most certainly in the wrong part of the country. I know I should have been a cowboy. Short of inventing a time machine to transport me back to the heyday of the cowboy, I’ve settled for writing about those taciturn men and the strong women who love them.
When and Why did you start to write?
I honestly don’t remember a time when I wasn’t writing. At one point, writing was a lifeline to sanity. It wasn’t until I was working on my master’s degree in English that I got serious about publication.
What authors do you always read or suggest to others?
That all depends on the genre we’re discussing. If we’re talking romance, the list is much too long but here’s a few authors on my “MUST BUY” list: Suzan Tisdale, Cindy Nord, Peggy Henderson, Juliette Douglas…
What is the most surprising thing you have found out with the writing process?
The characters never go where I want them to go. You’d think they have a mind of their own.
What are you working on now?
Currently, I’m working on two historical romance novels and working on the edits for my fourth book with The Wild Rose Press.
When writing are you a pantser or plotter?
Panster. The one time I tried to plot out a book, so much creative “mo-jo” went into that outline I couldn’t go back to the book.
