Ok, so I have to admit that this is the first book of Teresa Gabelman’s that I have read. Oh holy hell, why have I not read them?! That is the question that keeps going through my head right now. Since I haven’t read the others this is safe to say that this can be read as a standalone. I never found myself trying to figure out something from the past characters. I could tell they were all interwoven, as they should be, but Dell and Roslyn….holy hotness!  The story is full and complete.

 

Dell is the quiet type but he is also the type to have Alpha tendencies and to get stuff done. Roslyn is a new recruit to the pack but she has secrets, like huge secrets. She is running but no one knows from what. Dell literally saves her and at this point he cannot deny the pull of his mate. Roslyn feels it too but her emotions are a hot mess. As these two become closer she is faced with her past and makes a hard decision by trying to leave the pack. Here is where we get to see the real side of Dell and Roslyn. As she is on the brink of disaster and about to die, yet again, the Lee County wolves step up to help her.

 

The story sucked me in right from the absolute beginning. Emotions are intense and the action and sexy time are even better!  It’s the perfect combination for a badass story. As I said at the beginning this is my first Teresa Gableman book but it is definitely not the last!

MORE Please! I am loving Ryder and Riley!! Right from jump we are smack in the middle of Riley escaping from some bad people. Right from there, the author had me hooked. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to put this book down and the author did not disappoint. Riley is full of sass, sarcasm, and wit. It’s the perfect combination for a strong female lead. But she soon has met her match when she meets Ryder…. Or has Ryder met his match with Riley? Ryder is more of a loner but has been around the block a time or two, just saying. When they collide sparks fly! Whew! I want to tell you more but I just can’t. And it’s killing me! There is never a dull moment with the characters or the story. The right amount of action, sarcasm, and sexy time! The bad pat about the story…is that it is over, lol! I do hope that we see more of this duo! Overall I recommend this book to everyone. Someone that wants some drama, love, sex, action, shifters…. here is something for everyone!

When I first met her I wanted to throat punch her but as I got to know her in the Draqon’s Hero I found out that she is just misunderstood. She is sent to Earth to find the White Horn. As she is scouring the worst areas she locates him in Cyn City. The problem is that Tane, aka White Horn, has no want or desire to go back to Kladuu. He has his reasons but Kinyi is relentless. Tane runs an underground fight club and Kinyi ends up being in the middle trying to prove herself to Tane. All hell breaks loose and they find out that Gideon is missing. Kinyi just knows that he is on Kladuu and know she must find a way back home. Tane feels an undeniable pull to Kinyi and vows to help her get home but has no plans on going with. Until….. well I can’t give it away but he does go home. Both of these characters are incredibly strong and independent. Both have their secrets and fears. But when these unravel it will blow your mind! The story starts in gritty Cyn City and ends on Kladuu but there is never a dull moment with these two. No matter how much I didn’t like Kinyi at first, she made it up to me with Tane. This is my favorite of the series. It is bittersweet as I don’t want the series to end but it is set up beautifully for the next series in Cyn City! I am hoping we might see some of the Kladuu characters in Cyn City, but only time will tell. Bravo, Pearl! You rocked this!

Emma meets Zane kind of by mistake when Zane makes sure she is safe after a small altercation at the bar. But Zane is a perfect gentleman and makes sure she gets in her car and leaves. This is where things start to get fun. Neither of them can stop thinking about themselves. Zane has no idea what’s going on. Emma’s friend leaves her the Paranormal Dating Agency card (that just doesn’t disappear) so Emma gives in to give it a try. These two crash together and stir it up! We get just the right amount of Alpha male, Bada** female, action and sexy time (wags eyebrows)! This is an easy quick read and just the right thing to get your blood pumping!

If you have followed this series you know that Carlie is our resident witch of Halfway and she does not take kindly to “visitors” (the things that go bump in the night) wreaking havoc on her beloved town. Out of the blue a Viking ship surfaces in the lake and this brings all the visitors to gawk and the government to come investigate. Things aren’t always what they seem and Carlie is a pro at this stuff. However, this ship hits home for Wulfric and brings up his very distant past. While they are both trying to work through the craziness that this ship has brought on they are both battling other demons. Wulfric is dealing with his past and Carlie has to deal with her future. Carlie is a very strong and resilient character but is very down to earth. And her love for her town and family is ginormous! Include the craziness that they are dealing with and her snarky remarks and this story will have you laughing out loud and the next minute having you deep in thought trying to figure out the next move. This is one of those stories that will suck you in from the beginning and keep a strong witchy hold on you until the very end.

At the risk of giving any spoilers I am going to give you a couple of my favorite lines:

My words were lost in a rumble of thunder that shook the air in my chest. Raindrops the size of baked potatoes slapped against my skin in a constant, frigid pounding, driven by the vicious wind. The howling rain felt like a car wash run by sadistic gods, determined to scour off my skin.

I am many things, but my humanity and witchcraft would coil around each other like warring serpents until dawn, when I would ask and answer a power far greater than my own soul. The answer I was granted would determine nothing less important than the rest of my life, but the need to ask the question was overpowering. I could not go on without knowing, and for Wulfric’s sake – and my own – I would not be denied.

“Love and pain. It was a toxic combination.” I am going to miss the King’s Harlots! This is not my normal genre but it is an epic mix of awesomeness! The series has gone from really good to oh my gawd amazing! Every book seems to get better and better. It has been a non-stop love/hate relationship that most definitely keeps you wanting more. Rust is no different. Although, I must say that Creena’s and Stone’s stories may be my favorite  . One thing that this series has given us is the raw and gritty. Well folks, it absolutely raw and gritty in the best possible way. I want to talk about the story but I know I will give away spoilers so that’s gonna be a no-no this time. They are both holding secrets, like major secrets that are gonna shake the Harlot’s and Vice One’s worlds. The back story of these two is intense. When Creena and Stone crash together things explode! It’s HAWT!!! It’s ACTION packed! It’s TWISTED!! It’s OVER!! (wipes tears from face).

In an effort to not spoil the story I will give you a couple lines that were my fave!

Sex with Stone came at a price. It cost me my sanity because all I could think about was him. My thirst for him was never quenched. It only made it worse. I could drink him up, feast on his body, and never be satisfied.

We crave that darkness but even after accepting its fate, it can still haunt us for years. Maybe even the rest of our lives. Sometimes people take advantage of that. Hire us to do their dirty work because they’re scared to do it themselves.

This is an incredible series with an equally incredible ending. Bravo, JM Walker! Get it girl!

I cannot get enough of The Shifter’s of Kladuu series! This is the 5th book and although these can be read as standalones I highly recommend reading them in order as many of the characters come back throughout the series and there is a better understanding of exactly what the back story is on each one. The Draqon’s Brat is the story of Maxsym, the Draqon’s Hive Master, and Veronica Gideon, the spoiled debutant daughter of Captain Gideon of the Zynthar Space Station. Maxsym is a playboy from the hive and has defied orders and has infiltrated the Zynthar Space Station in hopes of assassinating Captain Gideon due to his dealings with the flesh trade (trafficking). Maxsym has been appointed the guard over Veronica and is hoping this will get him closer to her father, Gideon. Right from jump Maxsym and Veronica absolutely hate each other. Well, they really love to hate each other, LOL! There is an intense push and pull between the two. They are both hard headed and stubborn and the banter between each other is both fun to read as well as frustrating. At times you want to shake them both and tell them to get on with it! But this frustration is incredibly well written and necessary for the story. Veronica and Maxsym both uncover more secrets and cover ups that Captain Gideon is part of. They both need to decide if they are worth it for each other or if they need to part ways due to the different worlds they are from. The story is one of those that you will sit and read in one sitting and not even realize the amount of time that has gone by. Trust me, you need this series in your life!

So, we have come to the end of the King’s Harlots Series, so sad. This series has had it all, a cool women’s mc, hot alpha military guy, a scary AF human trafficking ring, and lets not forget the suspense of finding out just who is behind said ring. Now, onto Rust!!
All the men from Vice-One are Uber alpha, my favorite so far has been Coby Porter from Rude, but now I want to be the meat in a Coby Porter and Vincent Stone sandwich!!!!!!
Holy moly did Walker have me hot to trot with Stone. He’s relatively new to the Vice-One team, but just like the rest of them he’s military, alpha, and he’s also got secrets.
Creena Chan; member of King’s Harlots, nurse, and a lady with one hell of a secret of her own.
Creena and Stone have always been flirty friends, but have never crossed that line until they wake up in bed together hungover and that my friends is the start of a HOT, steamy, complicated relationship.
Walker wraps up this series in a neat little bow, but we all know that while bows look neat, making them takes lots of twist and turns and things that come out of nowhere. What I mean is I never saw the secrets and the players that came out in this book coming and Walker did a great job of between keeping me on edge with suspense and keeping me on edge with the super hot scenes with Stone and Creena.
Even though the series has ended I would love to catch a glimpse of the gang in the future.

Black Ops, Sci Fi, Space Opera that sucks you in from the very beginning! I have not read any of the books that go along with this but if you are a lover of the fast paced, action packed, and the crazy characters that go with this type of thing then this is the book for you! Right from the beginning there is a scuffle with some of our main characters. But this is only the start. Our outcast, Eddie, used to be in the Federation but is now doing his own thing but still stands up for what he believes in. He is recruited to do some black ops type of work that involves stopping some bad guys that are doing bad things. He is paired up with Julianna and both are badass! They have been given an opportunity to recruit some diverse people to help them stop this quiet war and save some innocents. But nothing they do is going to be “normal”. Two of the recruits are of a different alien race and how they come upon them is nothing but out of the ordinary. The banter between all of them, during conflicts and when they are relaxing, is so fun! I kind of imagine these stories being a cross between Star Wars and Guardians of the Galaxy. Hang on for this ride! Literally! This is a super-hot story that is action packed and never slows down. Hold on to your hats, folks! Right from jump we meet Grey. Even as a vampire he is an incredible gentleman. Very genuine and cares about humanity but super sexy! He is sent on a task for The Directive, against his judgement. However, when he arrives the Thirst is overwhelming him, to say the least. He can’t get satiated. Someone is out causing a ruckus and there are bodies piling up everywhere. His judgement is clouded with the Thirst. This is when he meets Mila. She has family issues and is topside looking for someone special. But when we find out exactly what Mila is that the true problems starting coming out. I was a little worried about how I, personally, would like the book because I don’t normally read some of the sexier types of books because sometimes they get out of hand. But dayum! Bella rocked this one out! The storyline never slows down and never a dull moment. The supporting characters are incredible. There is the perfect amount of action, fighting, blood drinking, and LOVE ~wags eyebrows~! This is truly an unforgettable story and I look forward to more like this from Bella. **Get it girl**!!!!
