AP - Synopsis.jpg

Lust, love, and second chances.

Growing up in the fast-paced and rough life of a motorcycle club wasn’t easy. Cleaning up the mess his father had made of Vipers Creed meant sacrifice. Cade ‘Spook’ Baker had given up everything to bring the club life back to what it was supposed to be: a family.

The choices he made were not what he wanted, but they were necessary for the club as a whole.

Second chances rarely came to Spook, so when his Trixie walked boldly into his clubhouse, the decision was made. Trixie would once again be his, this time for good.

Trix Lamasters was raised by a master—a master con. All grown up, she made her life solid by making it about her club, Sirens. But one bad business decision brought her to her knees, forcing her to call on the one person she had sworn she would never trust again.

Pasts have a way of not staying there. Things that were buried deep have a way of finding themselves in the light of a new day. Could something that had once crashed and burned for Spook and Trixie find a way out of the wreckage? With the odds against them, can they find a way to overcome the challenges, or will it all blow up in their faces?

**Due to content, mature audiences only.**

 angies review

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

So a friend told me that I NEEDED to read this author.  When this book came around, I jumped.  I knew her other MC series was popular and I trusted my friends judgement so I grabbed it.  OMG I am super excited that I did.

I love 2nd chance stories especially when they have hot alpha males and sassy stubborn heroines.  Who doesn’t love a CHALLENGE too right??  Well this book is so full of it that you will be left sitting in one entire afternoon unable to put the book down.

Cade/Spook loved Trix/Trixie in high school.  He knew that she was the one for him but his “family obligations” needed him so he had to cut her loose.  When she struts into his life 15 years later looking for an employee, he will not let her go……..

I honestly don’t know which of the two I liked more.  I mean they both were perfect.  Her sass and his caveman thumping put me in heaven.  I loved the side cast of characters but wow the twistss and turns we got about Cade and Trixie’s fathers……I mean…yikes bad family drama.

I have got to say I am super excited to read about Boner and Stiff.  I don’t know which of these brothers I want more?  I mean they both had me cracking up so I am curious about what kind of woman kicks their alpha butts in gear.

Melinda's Review

I received a copy of the book from the author for an honest review.

This was a great story. I have never read Ryan Michele’s work before but I’m glad I read this one. I have to say I am very excited about this series. The men are phenomenal and I can only imagine their women are going to be just as great.

Cade/Spook grew up in the MC world and knew where he was going to be. He found and fell for his true love in high school but knew he could not keep her so he left her behind for his club. Until the day Trixie came knocking on his door and everything flew right out the window as far as Spook was concerned.

Trixie was raised by the best con around but after the child hood she had with her father and the broken heart in high school she threw herself into her work to forget everything and never looked back. Until the day one of her employees cheated her and led her right to her high school flame Cade. She tried to keep those walls up around Cade and denied her feelings but all the rules have changed.

The Chemistry between these two could have burned the pages off my kindle, yes they were that HOT. Spooks is a total Alpha, dominate sexy and knew how to get the job done. Trixie is strong independent full of sass and defiantly did not need a man around if she didn’t want him there. The twists in this story were amazing some were total blindsides.

This was a great start to the series. I’m so excited to read more of these guys and see them meet their matches.

My favorite line:

“One look at you in my clubhouse, and that was all it took. I knew… knew you were mine. In knowing this down to my fucking bones, I trust you completely, I know I have to earn yours.

Spook

I woke to a very cold bed. My hand reached out, touching nothing. I listened, but I didn’t hear a sound. It surprised me. I usually slept lightly, never knowing when I needed to be on guard. Something about being in bed with her, having her cuddled up to me, had me sleeping like a fucking log.

Rolling out of bed, I grabbed my pants and shirt, throwing them on along with my cut, socks, and boots. I walked down the hall of the little ranch house.

“Trixie?” I called into the nothingness.

I looked through the house, but she was nowhere. The little minx jumped out on me.

A piece of paper on the table had a large scrawl on it.

Spook,

I had shit to do. Lock the bottom lock when you leave. Please don’t come back.

I chuckled. Woman had no fucking clue who she was dealing with. Oh, I’d be back … tonight or this afternoon. I hadn’t decided yet.

**

Trix

“You get anywhere with Cade?” Jett, my assistant asked as she plopped down in the chair in front of my desk.  She had a beauty that pulled everyone in and curves that made me insanely jealous. Her long, dark hair laid pencil straight, and her eyes were a blue that looked almost gray in different lights.

My stomach fell at her question, reminding me of last night. I couldn’t believe I fucking slept with him. Not just fucked him, but showered with him, fell asleep with him … woke up in his damn arms. Sneaky bastard.

I could still feel him between my legs. Hell, I even had phantom feelings of him inside of me. He’d had a lot of practice. I knew he had because I had heard all about it. And I wasn’t any better than one of those paid hookers.

Fucking moron. My reasons had sucked before. They meant shit now.

I wanted to pass off the night as being just another booty call, a way to fuck each other out of our systems, but both were a flat out lie. Last night was so much more than anything Taylor, or any of my other weak-ass booty calls, and I had ever been.

The rawness in his eyes captivated me. God, his eyes … I could see so much more in them last night. More than I’d ever thought I would see. But I was just fooling myself. I wouldn’t go back fifteen years to fall for the bad boy again, just to get my heart smashed all over again.

Mortification didn’t even cut it when it came to describing how I felt. Weak. Pathetic. I gave in, letting him have that power over me with his smooth talking and fantastic bed skills.  Plus, he had looked sexy as hell in his leather and jeans. To see him on a motorcycle, too, was just a recipe for disaster. And I had just spread my legs, begging for him to give it to me. Dammit.

Although I was dead serious in the note I left him this morning, it felt really odd to leave it for him in my own house. Nevertheless, I couldn’t stay and deal with the morning after shit. One look and I would have let him inside my body again. I would have let him take me over and over until I really couldn’t walk. Now that I knew how much he had grown, let alone changed in the bedroom, it would be more difficult than ever to say no to him.

I had to remember Cade crushed me. My first love left me to pick up the pieces of my torn heart. I couldn’t go back to the me from that time.

“He doesn’t know if Nanette is there.” I decided to leave out the whole him fucking my brains out bit. I wouldn’t open up that can of worms. I told Jett all about Cade one night after way too many shots of tequila. Regardless, the less people who knew about the now, the better.

AP - about the author.jpg

Ryan Michele has a huge obsession with reading, which only came to life after her best friend said she had to read Twilight. After reading that series, her entire world changed in the blink of an eye. Not only was she sucked into new worlds and all of the wonderful words authors put down on paper, she felt the urge to begin to write down the characters that played inside of her head. In doing so, Safe was born. Then Wanting You and the Ravage MC series.

When she’s not reading or writing, she spends time taking care of her two children and her husband, enjoying the outdoors and laying in the sun.

Twinsie Talk is proud to present the 3rd Annual MM March Madness – a month to focus on the M/M, F/F, M/M/F, M/F/M authors. We love these books and want to share it with the rest of the world. Each day we will post an interview. We will also include any reviews that we have done on these books as well as links to the books.

Our hope is that you will love this genre as much as we do! <3

Today is devoted to Cheryl Brooks

author bio

She has also published If You Could Read My Mind writing as Samantha R. Michaels. As a member of The Sextet, she has written eight erotic novellas published by Siren/Bookstrand. Her other interests include cooking, gardening, singing, and guitar playing. Cheryl is a member of RWA and IRWA. You can visit her online at www.cherylbrooksonline.com or email her at cheryl.brooks52@yahoo.com.

Tell us about something about you (not included in your normal author bio) that maybe not everyone knows about you.

I have recently become allergic to caffeine, so my addictions have shifted from tea and chocolate to expensive soaps. Guess that makes me a soapaholic!

There’s been a trend in writing a series. How do you feel about series? Do you write them? Do you think they are easier or harder?

I actually prefer to write stand-alone books. Maintaining the continuity of a series can be difficult

Where do you do most of your writing?

At the desk in the corner of my bedroom.

What are you currently reading? Any suggestions for your favorite books (beside your own, of course)?

I prefer Regency romances. Always have. I’ve read every Georgette Heyer ever written and a lot of Mary Balogh’s books.

What is the most surprising thing you have learned about writing?

The fact that it takes about ten good reviews to make me forget about a bad one. Sometimes it takes more than that!

What are you working on now?

The second book in my Cowboy Heaven series, Must Love Cowboys will be released on April 5. Right now, I’m working on a paranormal romantic suspense trilogy. No idea yet on when or how it will be published.

What is your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night?

Dinner and a movie with my husband and sons.

Tell us about the highest HIGH and lowest LOW in your career so far. How has it changed you?

The lowest probably was a recent review that was 2 stars. It was also the high as well. The way the review was written got me thinking about my writing and my process and I realized i wasn’t giving the readers the best of me. The 2 star stung, like I think any low review does, but it was written in a way that changed how approached my stories.

Brecken Kane had been damn good at his job in the military. The
experience served him well when he moved into the private sector. Brecken’s new
security business is booming, and he’s settling into civilian life. Little does
he know his newest client’s request to save his daughter will change
everything.
Hadley Gresham knows she isn’t likely to make it out of the jungle
alive. She’d distanced herself from her parents after she learned her dad made
his money selling illegal arms. Kidnapped by his competitors, she knows there’s
little chance he’ll be able to save her.
Luckily for Hadley, her father hires Brecken. He’d never leave an
innocent woman behind, let alone the one he quickly comes to consider his.
Brecken might be Hadley’s rescuer, but she’s the one who saves his soul.
Warning: This book has an alpha hero who races to the rescue of
the virgin heroine. If you like insta-love and hot sex in the steamy jungle,
then this story is for you!
Please note: This is the second novella in the Body & Soul series,
but it can be read as a standalone. Each book in the series features a
different couple.

EXCERPT
When I’d glanced at the
photo my client had shown me of his daughter, my hesitation ceased to exist.
Only one thing mattered—saving Hadley from the men who’d taken her. The sight
of her broad smile and bright green eyes staring up at me from her picture
froze me in my tracks. Brown hair so dark it almost appeared black, flowed over
her shoulders, stopping just above her tits. Her perky, luscious tits which
looked huge on her tiny frame. I got a hard-on from seeing her picture while
sitting across from her father and discussing her kidnapping. It was insane.
I’d never had a reaction like this to a woman, let alone from a damn picture at
a time like this.
It was almost as insane as
the feeling of possessiveness which swamped me when Whit whistled softly under
his breath while glancing at her picture. We’d been together since boot camp,
and I’d been lucky when he decided not to re-up at the same time as me. It
meant I was able to open my security firm with Whit at my side, just like I’d
started my military career. At his sign of male appreciation, I wanted nothing
more than to demonstrate exactly what I’d do if he ever laid a hand on her.
“Back the fuck off,” I
hissed at him, sending his eyebrows into his hairline before he moved to the
wall and leaned against it. I was sure to hear about this later, but I didn’t
give a fuck. She was mine, but first I needed to get her out of this mess.

MM MARCH MADNESS!!

March 31

Twinsie Talk is proud to present the 3rd Annual MM March Madness – a month to focus on the M/M, F/F, M/M/F, M/F/M authors. We love these books and want to share it with the rest of the world. author bio

I am a Paranormal/Fantasy Adult Romance Author (M/F Romance and F/F Romance) I’m thirty years old. I am a Navy Wife and a mother of two. I am a Florida girl at heart, but since getting married I have lived in Washington, South Carolina, and our latest move Connecticut. I hold a B.A. in Multimedia Journalism with a minor in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. Writing is something I love and since I am blessed to be a stay at home mom I thought I would try my hand at getting the stories in my head out and see how far I could go. I tried a few years ago to go through a Literary Agency, but it went nowhere. The self-publishing market was just starting to get hot so I self-published two books mainly for family and friends. I then discovered the world of New Adult. I wanted to stick with my paranormal roots and began thinking up story ideas that took on not only a paranormal element, but a fantasy element as well. So, that is me in a nutshell. I am a little crazy and simple and I love my life and my family.

Tell us about something about you (not included in your normal author bio) that maybe not everyone knows about you.

I spent six in Italy when I was in college studying in Florence.

There’s been a trend in writing a series. How do you feel about series? Do you write them? Do you think they are easier or harder?

I love series, but I also love standalone books. What I am aiming to do is write a series and then a standalone and then a series and so on. I want to break things up, but I will not publish a book in between publishing series’ books. I want my readers to get the whole series first.

Where do you do most of your writing?

My phone or on my computer at my desk.

What are you currently reading? Any suggestions for your favorite books (beside your own, of course)?

I just finished Heart and Soul by Nicole Williams and Fuck Buddy by SD Hildreth. I loved them both. Nicole’s book was part of a series I loved and I enjoyed the final chapter of it. SD’s book well how can you not buy a book with that title?

Do you feel that this genre is growing? And what do you contribute to that growth or decline?

I hope it’s growing. I hope to contribute to making F/F and F/F/M more mainstream I believe M/M has found it’s steam and I think that’s amazing, but now it’s time to flip the coin.

What is the most surprising thing you have learned about writing?

I can write in first person and I’m actually pretty decent.

What are you working on now?

I am working on book 2 in my Wind Trilogy which is the M/F book in the series. I am also working on my first F/F/M Standalone titled Ocean’s Heart.

What is your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night?

Write or play Blade and Soul with my husband

MM MARCH MADNESS!!

March 30

Twinsie Talk is proud to present the 3rd Annual MM March Madness – a month to focus on the M/M, F/F, M/M/F, M/F/M authors. We love these books and want to share it with the rest of the world. Each day we will post an interview. We will also include any reviews that we have done on these books as well as links to the books.

Our hope is that you will love this genre as much as we do! <3

Today is devoted to Piper Trace

author bio

Piper Trace likes to write love stories with just the right amount of filth. Her life as a lawyer and a cog in a large corporate wheel was killing her soul. She escaped by telling her coworkers she was busy during lunch, and sat in her car with a notebook to write sizzling tales of romance and heartbreak. She guarded that notebook as if it was her greatest treasure, because it was. Now she’s quit her corporate job to write romance full-time. When not writing, Piper repurposes old furniture, sews poorly and builds things fairly well. Her DIY work can be found at www.dropdeadthrifty.com, which she runs for fun with her DIY partner, New York Times bestselling author Sidney Bristol. Piper uses her writing money to buy new tools. She lives in Ohio with her military hero husband, her two young kids, a big fluffy dog, and a canary. Her tee-shirt reads, “Will write for power tools”.

Tell us about something about you (not included in your normal author bio) that maybe not everyone knows about you.

Let’s see…I’ll tell you a few things. 1) I can sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star in Latin. 2) I think I missed my calling as a police detective. 3) My favorite band in high school was The Alarm.

There’s been a trend in writing a series. How do you feel about series? Do you write them? Do you think they are easier or harder?

Oh! I have two series in the works right now! I prefer series because if you like the world, then you get another book (and another and another) in the same world, with the same author’s voice. The world is familiar and comfortable, with each book still being fresh. It’s like settling in with an old friend who’s telling you a new story. The only thing about them that’s harder to write, to me, is that you have to keep track of a lot of information (because all the books are related), so what hair color did that lady have? And who’s related to whom? Stuff like that. Also, you’d better like that world if you’re going to be writing in it for a while. The series I’m working on right now is going to be extensive. I plan to write in that world for years, so I hope readers like it!

Where do you do most of your writing?

Ha! This is a funny question for me because I used to write in my car when I was still working full-time. It took me five years to write Come When Called, my MMF menage novel starring Ford, Charley and Evie. I joke that for five years I wrote about Ford in a Chevy. Now I mainly write on the couch or in a chair with my laptop on my lap. Last year I did this really awesome DIY refinishing of an old desk I bought off of Craigslist to be my “work space”, but I’ve yet to use it as such… Next year, when my youngest is in school, I’ll use it then. (I tell myself. But I lie to myself a lot.) Haha

What are you currently reading? Any suggestions for your favorite books (beside your own, of course)?

I read a variety of things. I enjoy contemporary romance, horror, YA and women’s lit. My favorite books I’ve read recently are Summer Sisters by Judy Blume, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, anything by Sophie Kinsella, Kim Harrison or Darynda Jones (love her!), and my favorite book at the moment, Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell (YA).

Do you feel that this genre is growing? And what do you contribute to that growth or decline?

I definitely feel like the genre is growing, and that’s a wonderful thing! I always encourage people to try it out, even if they don’t think it’s something they’d be into. If people are skeptical as to whether or not they’d like to read M/M romance, I tell them to read Interview with a Vampire by Ann Rice, which I consider the gateway drug to M/M. 🙂

What is the most surprising thing you have learned about writing?

HOW INCREDIBLY HARD IT IS!!! I think, intrinsically, people believe they can tell a story, so how hard can it be to write it? I used to think this too…until I tried to really sit down and write a book. Just the banal stuff like how to get two characters to walk into another room (without sounding like you’re the storyteller butting into the story to say “then they walked into the other room”), or how to indicate that two weeks have gone by. Or even worse, how to write a menage or a same-sex love scene! You can’t just say, “He touched his thigh.” Who touched who’s thigh? But don’t used names too much or it sounds strange. Things like that stump you very quickly and you realize, “Oh crap. This is freaking hard!” And that’s not even touching on how to make your story interesting, compelling, emotional, sexy, memorable, and all the other things to which a writer aspires.

What are you working on now?

I am currently working on a M/F series, but I don’t have anything to share! I’m a slow writer. 🙂 But please, check out Come When Called and tell your friends!

What is your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night?

Curl up on the couch with my husband and watch a movie!

Tell us about the highest HIGH and lowest LOW in your career so far. How has it changed you?

Oooh, you have tough questions! Gosh, I don’t know if I want to talk about the lowest low. Ugh. Here goes… Very early on in my career, when I had just started to write, I had a terrible situation where I jumped the gun on a possible agent just because she was an AGENT and I maybe had the opportunity to land her (lots of excited exclamation points here!!) I had an old acquaintance who was a writer and I reached out to her for her opinion on what she thought of my stuff. She read it and recommended me to an agent in the same agency as her own agent! THEN I did the research. Not only did I realize this wasn’t the agent for me, but I also realized that I wasn’t even close to needing an agent, considering I didn’t even have a book written yet! I backed out of the submission as diplomatically as I could, but…it didn’t go over well with my old acquaintance. She…uh…revoked her recommendation in a vehement way to the agency and sent some rather strong messages to me as well, blocked me on social media, etc. I apologized and groveled, but it didn’t help. I had burned that bridge to ashes. 🙁 Not only did I feel absolutely AWFUL about it (the old acquaintance was just trying to help me, after all, and then it all went to hell), but I went from the high of “oh my god, I might actually make it as a professional writer!!” to the depths of “maybe I just ruined my career before I even started” in about twenty-four hours. I honestly think I cried for about three days straight. I just could not stop crying about the situation. Then I don’t think I wrote a word for almost six months. It was awful, but I still stand by my decision (if not the choices that led me to it). I was stupid to even approach someone for help without first doing my homework, but the reality is that I couldn’t bind myself contractually to a party just because I felt embarrassed or socially obligated to at that point. What I learned from that was LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP in publishing! Do your homework. Writers in the romance world are so very nice, inclusive and helpful, so make sure you can actually USE the help you ask for, before you get it! Now I self-publish, and I’m leery of publishers and agents, frankly, and I think that mess early-on helped steer me in this direction. PS: The agent involved was extremely nice and professional about it, so I was grateful for that. Okay, shrug those yucky feelings off—now the high! I guess the highlight of my career so far was being a finalist in Mary Menages Best Menage Authors 2016 for Come When Called! This just happened, and I didn’t win, but just being nominated, and being a finalist(!) was completely thrilling for me! Otherwise, honestly, every nice review I get is a high. Every message from a reader saying she stayed up all night reading my book. Every reader who enjoys Come When Called. Even a three star review where the reviewer says she was “entertained throughout” is a high for me. The idea that someone might read my words and enjoy my story never ceases to be a high. Those highs make it all worth it, and put a huge smile on my face, so I’ll keep writing, and hopefully, you’ll keep reading!

#DualReveiw #ReleaseDay – Boiling Point, Feverish 1.5 by Jade C. Jamison @JadeCJamison

Boiling Point (Feverish, #1.5)

synopsis

Pathetic.
Needy.
Untrusting.

Emily Brinkman hears all these descriptions in her head, all the things she knows others are thinking when she joins her boyfriend, Clay “Jet” Smith, on tour with his band. It doesn’t matter that she’s going as his PA as well; she knows she’s being judged…but she also knows that the people watching are half right.

Hot.
Tight.
Fine.

Clay can hear what all the men around him think of his sweet girlfriend and he loves having Emily join him on tour. To this woman, he’s not just a one-dimensional axe-slinging guitar god. She loves him and wants the best for him, and she won’t tell him something just because it’s what he wants to hear. But Clay didn’t stop to realize that all the guys on tour–from the roadies to security and even their frontman–would appreciate that Emily is a nice piece of ass. He will need to learn to trust her if their relationship is going to survive.

Will Clay and Emily survive the bumps on the road or will their time on tour drive them apart?

Praise

“I loved Emily realizing that Jet’s attitude isn’t so bad when you need to get stuff done.  I also loved how Clay felt real pride in his woman when he realized she was much respected in her line of work.” ~ Angie J, Twinsie Talk Book Blog

“I enjoyed getting to see the various different dynamics between of all the players (crew/band, Emily/crew, Debbie/Emily) and especially Emily/Jet/Clay…the dual personas of Clay the man and Jet the rockstar and how it affects Emily. It was an insightful look at behind the scenes and what fans see vs what really happens.” ~ Sue Banner

excerpt

“I just want to prepare you. You’re dating a rock star. It’s an experience unlike anything you’ve ever known before, and talks with your mama couldn’t prepare you for the shit that will go down.”

Yeah…that was another thing Emily wouldn’t tell Debbie about. She’d lost her mother years ago in a horrible car accident. It had been just her and her dad forever—and her dad hadn’t had a clue about how to prepare Emily for anything having to do with being a woman…not that he hadn’t tried. She’d also had an awesome PE teacher in middle school who’d helped her navigate the seas of adolescence. But God bless her dad—he really had tried…and he’d done the best he could.

As for “dating a rock star,” Debbie had no fucking clue about Clay. Rock star or not, inside he was the sweetest, most genuine man Emily had ever known. They’d been through a lot of emotional ups and downs in the short time they’d known each other, and she felt as though they’d grown together, so even though she’d been feeling a little insecure, it wasn’t because of any stupid ass thing Debbie had hinted at.

She was going to keep her mouth shut so as not to encourage any more asinine comments from the woman, but she could see that wasn’t going to happen. Best to just spit it out. “Clay’s not anything like you think, Debbie.”

The frontman’s girlfriend lifted her perfectly sculpted thin eyebrows as her mouth froze. After several seemingly eternal seconds, she let out a long breath of air. “Look, Emmy, I know you’re knee deep in new love. I get that. I know how that works. I was there with Sam once, too. But wake up, girl. Yeah, I know you think you know Clay…but I’ve known him a lot longer than you have.” She brought her cup up to her pink lips and sipped before repeating, “A lot longer.”

That was true…but she had to believe that Clay had been honest with her about his past—his entire past. Debbie had been looking at him not as a friend or as a lover but as the girlfriend of one of his coworkers. Of course, anything she felt about Clay would be jaded. So Emily brought her cup to her lips, trying to think of a comeback.

Debbie began talking again, though, allowing Emily to keep her mouth shut. “Sure…it starts out pretty innocently at first. You don’t even know what’s happening until it’s too late to stop it, and it’s a slippery slope. You’ll lose your guy if you don’t keep going…”

angies review

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Oh Clay…Sigh…but HELLO Jet!!  It’s been a looong time since we hooked up. *wiggles eyebrows and whispers* Don’t tell Melinda or Daddy Brad…M’Kay???

So our party boy/Wild Man has settled down with sweet little PA, Emily.  All is good in their little world but now the REAL World comes crashing down on them. Jet has to go on tour.  Emily is a wreck because she is listening to one of the band members girlfriends spew trash about the life of dating a rocker.  Clay is acting more and more like Jet to Emily’s liking plus the roadies treat her like crap.  Jet can’t handle his own insecurities about Emily’s love.  Is it because he is a rocker with bundles of money or does she really love Clay and his sweet sensitive heart??

This book our couple goes through it all.  They are so excited to be together and keep their little “love cloud” a rolling that they start to let other people’s views and perceptions get in the way of their happiness.

I loved Emily realizing that Jet’s attitude isn’t so bad when you need to get stuff done.  I also loved how Clay felt real pride in his woman when he realized she was much respected in her line of work.  If only the two can talk and not just sweep things under the carpet until the bomb goes off……

Melinda's Review

I received a copy of the book from the author for an honest review.

You have no idea how excited I was to get more of Jet/Clay. You see I have loved him the most out of all the Bullet series guys since jump. I wasn’t sure how Boiling Point could top Feverish with Clay and Emily but she did it and I fell more in love with Clay/Jet and Emily.

The time has come for the band to go on tour and Emily is going because she is Clay’s P.A. She has her insecurities tested while on the road. Between the treatment from the road crew, being on the bus with all the guys, seeing all the girls come and go, and then there is Debbie that keeps talking about all the horrible tour life things sure doesn’t help with all her insecurities.

Clay has been burned before by a love and now he is caught in his head thinking maybe Emily is like his ex.  Both feel the disconnect but because of their pasts are having difficult time overcoming it and talking to each other instead of keeping it bottled up waiting for the top to explode. Jet is able to toss that brick wall up and move on but sweet Clay struggles with what he thinks is going on. Can Clay and Emily survive life on the road or will what they have fizzle out before it really gets started?

This is a great quick read and continuation of Feverish being able to see into life on the road and to see the tribulations they go through. I enjoyed Emily and her way of dealing with what is going on during the tour. I loved seeing Clay’s sweet insecure side and then seeing Clay’s alter ego side Jet come out to play. I’m so excited for this series to get to know the other band members and of course to see more of my Clay/Jet. *swoon* Clay/Jet I still love them equally from the sweet caring Clay to the down and dirty Jet I cannot get enough of them.

**************************

*taps foot* Angie I just read your review and not cool Daddy Brad will soooo be informed. KISSES.

about the author

Jade bio pic

Jade C. Jamison was born and raised in Colorado and has decided she likes it enough to stay forever. Jade’s day job is teaching Creative Writing, but teaching doesn’t stop her from doing a little writing herself.

Unfortunately, there’s no one genre that quite fits her writing. Her work has been labeled romance, erotica, suspense, and women’s fiction, and the latter is probably the safest and closest description. But you’ll see that her writing doesn’t quite fit any of those genres.

You’ll have to discover Jade’s writing for yourself to decide if you like it.

MM MARCH MADNESS!!

March 29

Twinsie Talk is proud to present the 3rd Annual MM March Madness – a month to focus on the M/M, F/F, M/M/F, M/F/M authors. We love these books and want to share it with the rest of the world. Each day we will post an interview. We will also include any reviews that we have done on these books as well as links to the books.

Our hope is that you will love this genre as much as we do! <3

Today is devoted to Anya Breton

author bio

Anya Breton is a web monkey with an obsession for nail polish and rubber chickens. Her fears include Peeps and people who hate clowns. Her genres include erotic romance, urban fantasy, and young adult–all with a little quirk. She lives in the Midwest where land is cheap and corn is cheaper.

Tell us about something about you (not included in your normal author bio) that maybe not everyone knows about you.

In high school I moonlit as a clown.

There’s been a trend in writing a series. How do you feel about series? Do you write them? Do you think they are easier or harder?

I do like writing series, both featuring one main character or featuring a different set of characters per book. In some ways they’re easier because I’m not starting from scratch with each book. But keeping track of all of the moving pieces from one book to another makes it harder than stand alone.

Where do you do most of your writing?

That changes every few months. Right now I do most of my writing in a super comfy recliner in my living room.

What are you currently reading? Any suggestions for your favorite books (beside your own, of course)?

I’m reading Little Women for a book club, listening to Kresley Cole’s The Master, and reading Jillian Jacobs’ Rachel’s Guard. They’re all great in their own ways. Favorite books besides my own, I love reading historical romance most. Anything by Tessa Dare or Courtney Milan are favorites of mine.

Do you feel that this genre is growing? And what do you contribute to that growth or decline?

I do feel diverse genres like MM, FF, MMF, etc are growing. I contribute by reading and a(under an alter ego).

What is the most surprising thing you have learned about writing?

That the writing part of it is the easiest part.

What are you working on now?

I’m submitting my MFM “Northern Heat” for publishing very soon. This is a fun book featuring a shy lady in her 40’s who is saddled with two hunky, demanding new bosses.

What is your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night?

Relax with a good book.

Tell us about the highest HIGH and lowest LOW in your career so far. How has it changed you?

I don’t know that I’ve had either extreme. My career has been even keel. I know I change a little bit each time I go through the editing process. There’s always something I can improve.

MM MARCH MADNESS!!

March 28

Twinsie Talk is proud to present the 3rd Annual MM March Madness – a month to focus on the M/M, F/F, M/M/F, M/F/M authors. We love these books and want to share it with the rest of the world. Today is devoted to Sandrine Gasq-Dion

author bio

Best selling author, Sandrine (Sandy) was born in Inglewood, California. Raised by “Old School” French parents, she later moved to Tucson, AZ. It was there that writing became a hobby. Always told she had a great imagination, Sandy wrote short stories for her friends in High School. In college, she took more writing classes while working on her Criminal Justice degree, but it wasn’t until a soap opera caught her eye that she got involved in male on male romances. On the advice of a friend, Sandy dipped her toes into the world of M/M Romance. Sandy takes the writing seriously and has had countless conversations with gay men as well as hours of research. She’s been involved with the military in one way or another for over twenty years, and has a great deal of respect for our men in uniform. She’s traveled the world, but has finally returned to Arizona.

Tell us about something about you (not included in your normal author bio) that maybe not everyone knows about you.

I have been married to the military since I was nineteen. I still go to all my guys for info on military procedures and whether would and wouldn’t do in certain situations. 😉

There’s been a trend in writing a series. How do you feel about series? Do you write them? Do you think they are easier or harder?

I love series. I’m not a big fan of sequels because I feel that they never measure up to the first book. Writing a series gives you the freedom to incorporate the characters from previous books so readers can see what they’ve been up to! I think it’s much easier.

Where do you do most of your writing?

I have an office in my house that’s filled with my characters. I surround myself with pictures of hot naked men. 😀

What are you currently reading? Any suggestions for your favorite books (beside your own, of course)?

I’m reading INET form Brenda Cothern and Behind the Music by Ann Lister. My all time favorite has to be KA Mitchell’s Collision Course. It was my first MM read! Right behind that is Evangeline Anderson’s “The Assignment”

Do you feel that this genre is growing? And what do you contribute to that growth or decline?

I believe it is growing. I’m trying to diversify what I write and how I write it. I’ve tackled attempted suicide and I have a book coming out later on that deals with another issue. I’ve always had my guys in the Assassin Shifters creating youth shelters for displaced and runaway gay teens. I hope to bring more awareness to the problem.

What is the most surprising thing you have learned about writing?

It’s not just one character that speaks to me anymore, it’s a slew of them and they’re all fighting for time. I wrote four books back-to-back when I moved back to Arizona and now I’m exhausted. I’ve learned I need to take a break and shush those voices for a bit. 😉

What are you working on now?

I’m working on; Ransom’s book from the rock series, Jordy and Wraith from the 12 Olympians, Loki and Cezar from the Assassin Shifters, Ryan and Michael from the Men of Manhattan and a new M/F book.

What is your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night?

Sleep and or read, catch up on shows I’m SO far behind in (Supernatural)

Tell us about the highest HIGH and lowest LOW in your career so far. How has it changed you?

Highest was when the first book (Dirty Ross) Hit below 100 in books bought in the kindle store! Lowest low was the first one star review. Now I’m older and wiser and know that you can’t please everyone. Not everyone thinks the same so while one person will LOVE the book, someone else will hate it. It is what it is!
