#NewRelease – #Review – Beacons in the End (The End Saga #3) by C.L. Zelle

Beacons in the End (The End Saga #3)

Book Three in the Post-Apocalyptic Dystopian Epic The End Saga.

I’m alive.
Gideon’s out there somewhere with Missy, looking for me. The monsters are evolving, but we are, too. We’ve come so far, survived the miraculous, defeated the evils that have tried to keep us from each other, and we’ll do it again.
We’re alive, and that’s a good start.
Strange, how finding each other in a dead world full of rabid predators with no cell service is the easy part. The hard part is what comes after. What will happen now that Gideon knows my truths? What will happen when he tells me his? Will we get our second chance? Will we have our happily ever after?
Things won’t be perfect when we reunite, we’ll have obstacles to overcome. But I believe in Gideon, I believe in us. We’ve found each other in this world twice before, and we will again. I just hope we can figure out what to do . . . next. To make things right again.

* * *

I won the first round, but this game isn’t over yet—it’s only just begun. There’s a stopwatch ticking somewhere, and the cool barrel of a nine against my temple says it’s go-time, there’s no backing down now.
It’s too quiet—as if somebody set the world on “peaceful” mode for a while. But I know better than to get too comfortable. There’s always been more to Vine’s games than meets the eye.
Time to level-up.
L1: Keep Missy safe
L2: Find Grace
L3: Protect the people I love
L4: Get that plane and get the f*ck out of Dodge
L5: Heal mankind
All in a day’s work on the Bright Side, right?

This is the third book in The End Saga. This series will appeal to those who don’t mind some diverse adult content in their reading. Due to certain triggers, this series may not be suitable for everyone, and is advised for ages 18 and up.

Goodreads

“To know who you are now, you have to remember how you became.” THIS!!! This is the perfect line for this book! This is the perfect line for life! This series is EPIC! The author writes very passionately, heartfelt and super fierce. This isn’t a zombie book. This is so much more! Every emotion whether it is something funny, scary, amorous….every single emotion is felt down to your core. Oh the feels!!!! Be prepared because it is beautiful and gritty and pure raw! Intense just does not do this book…or the series….justice.

Both of our groups are now on the run. Both groups have taken on others to care for…a lot of children! Now they are racing for survival. Grace and Logan are with one group and Gideon is with the other group. Grace and Gideon are so in sync that they just know exactly how to send the beacon to each other. Here is your spoiler….yes, the groups find each other. But they don’t find each other without some crazy scary situations ahead of them. Grace and Gideon were made for each other but they both have indiscretions that they don’t think the other will forgive them for. Nothing is perfect but this is The End afterall. Does everything have to be the same as before. The monsters are evolving, why can’t they? “How do you choose the correct answers when there aren’t any?” The whole crew is faced with many obstacles with which most involve themselves. But every single character is complex, strong and beautifully flawed. All of the characters are finding themselves again and it is absolutely breathtaking watching it unfold. Oh and did I mention all the hawtness?!?! Cuz guess what?! It’s super sexy in all the right places!!! So buckle up biotches cuz it’s time for another wild ride!!!

Bravo CL Zelle!!!! You rocked this! P.S. This is at the top of my favorite series ever!!!!

Christina L. Rozelle is the author of the bestselling YA Dystopian Scifi series, The Treemakers Trilogy, which includes her groundbreaking debut, “The Treemakers,” and its sequels, “The Soultakers,” and “The Seeker’s Keys.” Hailed for its strong, believable, and relatable characters, original and complex plotting, and phenomenal world-building, The Treemakers Trilogy appeals to lovers of dystopian literature who are looking for something refreshing and new.

Christina also writes adult post-apocalyptic dystopian under the nom de plume C.L. Zelle, with her first foray into the adult world, The End Saga (formerly The Night Blind Saga) releasing this year. Books one and two, “Willows in the End,” and, “Ravens in the End,” are now available, and book three, “Beacons in the End” releases Nov. 21, 2018. Proving to be quite the polarizing series, Rozelle shows her true prowess as a teller of tales with this no-holds-barred approach to a popular genre, showcasing her ability to evoke powerful emotions from her readers, be they positive or negative. She says, “as long as they’re thinking and feeling, my work here is done.”

When asked if she had plans to pull back on those wild reigns of her dark NA world, she just giggled, scrolling through her impressive backlog. Though she may not go any darker than this series, she says she’s created a lot of “wiggle room” between the YA world of The Treemakers, and the dark and taboo world of Grace and company, and she plans to fully employ every bit of that space (though, admittedly, she’s terrible at coloring inside the lines).

Rozelle’s writing roots sprouted with poetry and prose in countless journals in her early years, continuing through her tumultuous teenage years, and well into her turbulent young adult life. Though her younger self dreamed of scribing non-fiction and poetry someday, when she discovered the magic in creating fiction she never looked back. Overcoming countless obstacles of her own, the wisdom gained along her personal path through healing breathes life into her beautifully dark, yet hopeful tales of triumph. Filled with an array of emotional triggers, not many topics are off limits in her works. Rozelle’s exceptional storytelling dives deep into the survival and growth journeys of diverse, broken characters and unlikely heroes. Authentic, gritty, intricate, and wildly imaginative, her stories also offer hope–a light in the dark–as her characters discover their own inner strengths and worth in the midst of debilitating adversity.

Though her wanderlust calls her to a nomadic life of traveling the world in planes, trains, ships, and RVs, Christina currently resides in a small town in Texas, USA, with her four wonderful children and a bunch of furbabies, where she’s blessed to be able to do what she loves every day.

#WOTR19 – #Review – The Arbiter (Divinely Damned #1) by K.B. Everly and Brandy Slaven

#WOTR19 attending author BRANDY SLAVEN

The Arbiter (Divinely Damned, #1)

“She is too sinful to be Divine
and too righteous to be Damned.”

Nocturna; a hybrid, an all around smart ass, and the owner of The Apothecary, a night club for all the denizens that walk the earth to play amongst humans, is about to have her life altered by the Creator of all.

The last Arbiter has fallen and a new one must be chosen, one of both Divine and Damned blood. She will be both judge and executioner for the supernatural races, choosing how to punish or bless the souls brought before her.

Within her first week with her new status, Damned from all over are disappearing and disturbing videos of Damned being tortured and killed are surfacing. When Lord Monroe, one of The Infernal leaders of the Damned, becomes one of those who are missing, the Damned begin to point their fingers at The Rites; the Divine soldiers who are part of The Order of Abel. The clock is ticking, and it is her responsibility to find who is responsible and pass judgement. With the help of Enoch, an Infernal of the Damned, and Larkan, a Rite of the Order, Nocturna travels to Lord Monroe’s estate, hoping to find clues as to what happened to him and all the others.

Her integrity and her heart will be pushed and pulled in all directions as she faces the biggest dilemma of her existence; can she make the decision that is right for the lives of all, not the decision that is easiest for her. Will she stay true and lead the world into peace? Or will she choose sides like all the Arbiters before her and lead them all to destruction?

**This is a Reverse Harem Dark Romance that is recommended for ages 18+. There are elements of violence, such as torture and a body count, and steamy scenes that are sure to light you on fire. If you’re into that sort of thing, then boy do we have the book for you!

Goodreads

First, the cover of this book is amazing! Second, the premise of the story is incredible! Third, I can’t wait for the sequel!

“There’s always a fine line between everything. Love and hate. Cruelty and compassion. Pure and tainted. Light and dark. Most fail on either side of the spectrum within black or white, but none fall on that line that flows through the grey areas. No one is a perfect balance of all those things.”

This is what the Arbiter is supposed to be. Nocturna is a half breed. Half Divine and half Damned. There are very few halfies in the world and the Creator chooses one to be the Arbiter. The Arbiter is judge and jury over the Damned and Divine. Nocturna believes in a place that both beings can be themselves as long as nobody breaks the rules. She has created a sort of sanctuary for both within her club, The Apothecary. One eventful night and her world is rocked when she becomes the Arbiter. She finds that a past love and heartbreak, Enoch, is part of the Infernal who are the leaders of the Damned. She falls for Monroe, another leader of the Infernal. And has an incredible bond with Larkan, a Rite with the Divine. As they find out that Damned have been abducted and tortured they all find that they are part of the bigger picture and need to save these souls and stop the torturing. At the same time we are finding that not everyone on their team are loyal and their are traitors in the midst. Monroe ends up being captured, one of her dearest friends are abducted and her friend’s husband has been killed. Nocturna has to turn herself over to the bad guys in order to try and save the ones she love. And all the men in her life are going to be needed to keep her balanced between the Divine and the Damned.

This is a dark paranormal reverse harem story that is very intriguing. There is a lot going on within the big picture. It is dark and mysterious and is intense on the emotions evoked. It seemed to me like there was a lot of world building going on but some things were missed or rushed. Some of the characters were a little underdeveloped in my opinion. There was always just something out of reach. Overall though, I really enjoyed the story. There is a cliffhanger and I am anxiously awaiting the sequel to see how the story develops. It’s a wicked start to what I am sure will be an intense series!

#REVIEW – The Glue (Taboo Treat) by K Webster

From USA Today Bestselling Author K Webster, comes a new MMF standalone novel!

I’m a fixer. A lover. Always searching for the right fit. And I come up empty every time.

My desires are unusual.
I don’t feel whole until I’m in the middle, holding it all together.
Which makes having a romantic relationship really difficult.

Until them. Two people. An unraveling marriage. Love on the rocks. And they want me. To put them back together again.

Problem is, once they’re fixed, where does that leave me? I sure as hell hope I stick like glue.

***This story is MMF.***

Twinsie Jo’s Review

This book is short but steamy. So passionate and everything you could want in a romance. Although I wanted more because who wouldn’t from this threesome? The author, wrapped it up nicely in a pretty little naughty bow.

With a broken marriage and a guy who’s looking for someone, anything, the three of them work perfectly together. Sparks, lust and more, it’s the perfect amount of chemistry and I couldn’t ask for better.

Although, I could always ask for more, I’ll just continue reading the other little treats that this author puts out.

#REVIEW – Control Games (Game for Cookies Book 2) by Allyson Lindt

Julie is living her dream.

She’s opening a video-game themed cookie bouquet shop with her best friend. But even dreams come with stress and sleepless nights.

Their primary investor, Dante, is as overbearing in real life as he is on his award winning cooking show. On the other hand, he’s sexy as hell, and his boyfriend, Christopher, is as kind as he is a gorgeous, drool-worthy geek of a guy.

She likes looking, but she’d rather have a hands-on experience.

When the tension of trying to keep her business together threatens to tear Julie apart, Christopher’s got a solution for teaching her to share the workload. If she can surrender control in the bedroom, it might help her delegate in the office.

Is submission worth the cost?

What starts as game where blindfolds and submission are the board pieces becomes more serious. Until Julie discovers that Dante and Christopher have kept a secret from her that shatters her trust, leaving their hearts and jobs one move away from game over.

Twinsie Jo’s Review:

First off. Oh Christopher. Ooohlala.

So I was intrigued by Julie and Dante’s not so nice relationship while reading the first book. And when I realized they were getting their book, I knew this was going to be fun. The only thing I wished because I’m a freak and all, was that the first BIG fight they had, ended up in crazy hot intense sex. But I got why it didn’t happen. The tension was INSANE and it drove me nuts. But I also loved it. I’m a masochist that way.

I really loved the dynamic between this trio but I have to say, that I REALLY loved Christopher’s character. I’m partial to Dominant men so maybe that’s why? Either way, all three characters worked well together. I hope the author does more to this series although I’m not sure what other side characters could get stories. Either way, I’m satisfied if there is no more.

Now onto the next book!

#REVIEW – Seduction Games (Game for Cookies Book 1) by Allyson Lindt

Andi’s been denied funding—again—to expand her cookie business, and walked in on her boyfriend screwing another woman. Saying she’s had better days is an understatement.

Kane and Isaiah, her online gaming partners and the cutest couple ever as far as Andi’s concerned, know exactly how to cheer her up. They’re thinking road trip to Las Vegas, compete in a national first person shooter competition for a cash grand prize, and find her a one night stand to take her mind off her cheating ex.

Andi’s all in… except she’s not sure she can seduce a random hookup. Isaiah and Kane offer to give her some hands-on experience. With each new lesson, it becomes harder for Andi to remember the guys are just friends.

If Andi can’t put some distance between their seductive three-way hookups and her heart, it will cost their team the competition, and she’ll lose two of the best friends she’s ever had.

Publisher’s Note: This book was previously released as Will Game for Cookies (For the Win Book 1)

Twinsie Jo’s Review:

I was looking for a book last night. I had no idea what I wanted to read but then I came across this one. And I’m SO glad I gave it a chance. Hot boys and gaming? Yes please! NERD alert! Now, I don’t play. I used to play like Zelda and stuff but nothing more than that but the fact that there are competitions for games, fascinates me. But anyway, let’s review.

Andi has her heart broken something fierce. Buuuut…is it really that broken? James was a douche canoe and I personally would just be more embarrassed over it than anything.

Andi and her two team mates, head to a gaming competition in Vegas and the sparks fly during this trip. I have to say that Kane’s hot and cold bothered me but that’s good! It means the author did something right. But when everything gets revealed, *swoon*, it was just everything I could hope for in an ending.

Also, the fact that Andi and her best friend are trying to run a cookie business, is even more reason to fall in love with this story.

#WOTR18 – #Review – Heavyweight (Hallow Brothers Series 3) by Tricia Andersen

Heavyweight

Samuel Hallow is desperately in love. However, he knows his family won’t condone his relationship with his boyfriend, Henry. The brothers mate for life and neither man has had the mystical tattoo appear that binds them to the one chosen for them.

Delilah, Henry’s lifelong friend, comes to town and Samuel is consumed with unexplained lust. He and Henry both sleep with her and the tattoo appears on all three of them, marking the trio as mates for eternity. He nearly loses the others when he confesses his true nature – that he, like his six brothers, are werewolves. Although Delilah and Henry are angry and obsessed with their careers, they can’t stay out of his bed.

Can he protect his lovers from the vampires who hunt them, who want to use them to get possession of Momma Hallow’s ancient amulet? And will the Hallow Brothers stand united when they discover that Henry, the man Samuel loves, embodies an ancient evil magic, hell bent on conquering the world?

Goodreads

This book is complete blissful madness! SAM!!!!  I absolutely love his story. He is a big bad wolf with a super sweet side that no one really knows about….except for Henry!!! While hiding his true feelings from his family he is faced with a fight that he really has to get ready for. Leroy has brought on new partners for the promotions and they are all rubbing the Hallows the wrong way. In the meantime Sam continues to see Henry but is getting very frustrated as the fates won’t allow him to keep Henry forever as a mate. The tension is getting high because two of his other brothers have mated….now it is only a matter of time. But Dee comes into the picture and Boom! We have a trio of mates! Now to explain this to the family, lol! As the story unfolds we find that there is a lot more to Momma Hallow’s amulet and that there are others that are after it. Henry ends up having an evil magic in his blood that he and the brothers didn’t know about. There are more murders and they are getting closer and closer to home. Just when I didn’t think you could put another twist into the storyline the author does an amazing job of shoving one right in your face! This is truly an amazing series with LOTS of stuff going on so there is NEVER a dull moment. It’s an absolute page turner and I cannot wait to get into Josiah’s story next and find out about this magic that consumes Henry, and more about the amulet, and more about the vampires….what I am saying here is that there is so much more going on that going on to the next story right away is a must! I promise, you will love the Hallow brothers as much as I do!

The Angel's Divide (Beyond Blood Series Book 2)

A Family Divided
With family comes different shades of insanity, a lesson I’m learning more and more these days. I’m torn between honoring the family name I grew up with and settling for the monster I was born to be. Love, duty and lies have cemented a divide within a family that was never meant to be. I may very well be that divide.

A Life Divided
It’s a balancing act. An exercise in right from wrong, human from monster, something that has taken my entire life to master. A divide that is becoming harder to manage. I don’t want to be that monster, but she is becoming stronger and stronger, eating away at my humanity every day. How much longer can I hold her back?

A Heart Divided
Both Lorcan and Alistair own me, whether it be my heart, body or soul. Both are my mates, each bound to a necessary part of me. No matter how much I try to deny it I’m not sure I could survive without either of them. Lorcan appeals to my human side, keeping me alive, sane and satisfied, while Alistair brings out the monster, along with the dark pain and pleasure. I want to cut my ties with the devil, but will the price an old witch demands be worth the sacrifice of losing both? Or worse, myself?

Goodreads

I purchased this book at an author signing when the author told me all about this series.  I had never read anything from her and the whole paranormal, dark and erotica thing had me sold.

I didn’t think it could get any better and then BANG Book 2.

The book picks up right at the ended so be ready for the news about Jane, Kendrick, Alistair, Angel and Lorcan plus our favorite beeotch aunt.

This book we really see Angel struggling.  She is struggling with her humanity.  She is struggling with her need for the pain Alistair gives her.  She is struggling with the care and devotion she gets from Lorcan.  The girl is a mess then you throw in the guilt for Jane’s new situation…..OY VEY.

This book our girl is done taking it from everyone and decided to take the horse by the reigns.  She finally trusts her dad to help her out of a situation with Lorcan by her side, but can she really trust daddy dearest???  I mean I felt bad with the story he tells us about his love for Angel’s mom buuuuut yeah…hrmmmmm.  He had ulterior motives I totally thing.

The book zooms and before you know it Angel is left battling for her life and her humanity.  I can not wait for the next book because its going to be a wilder ride I can totally see.

#WOTR18 #Erotic #Review #PNR #Vampiers #Dark – The Devil’s Angel (Beyond Blood Book 1) by Christine Alvarez

The Devil's Angel (Beyond Blood) (Volume 1)

**WARNING**
The Devil’s Angel is not intended for the faint of heart. It is violent, dark and focuses on a very warped blood fetish.
The heroine is hard, confident and learns the hard way that what she is has limits, and what she craves is beyond what she has ever wanted.
The hero is far from a hero. He is a depraved sociopath who has a craving for blood and violence that goes beyond his vampire nature. Hero wouldn’t even be the appropriate title. More like the destroyer.
The first book in a Burned and Broken Happily Ever After it is intended for readers 18+. It contains death, knife play, anal, and same sex encounters. There are parts that are uncomfortable and down-right horrific. If you can handle that by all means proceed, but you have been warned.

He is the Devil.
Hell is a relative term, but from the moment Alistair Drake stepped into my office I was on my way. I have been taught from as early as I could remember that vampires should be nothing but dust in the wind, but his sly grin and commanding presence helped weave his web pulling me within. The methods nothing less than masterful, wound in such a way that I couldn’t feel when escape was nothing but a memory. He holds more questions than answers but as his pain turns to pleasure and his pleasure turns to pain none of that seems like it matters.
She is my Angel.
Heaven is transcendent, but with Angel Mae heaven was imminent. Her hybrid makeup feeds my unique pleasures. She is the perfect toy to add to my collection but to acquire something such as her doesn’t come without risk. The very blood that pulses just beneath her perfect skin chips away at my control. The monster that had been so expertly reigned in pounds harder at its escape. As her pain becomes my pleasure and I become her pain none of that seems to matter.
He is the Key.
The mark, Lorcan McRevve, the right hand man to the devil himself was supposed to be the key to escaping a prison I’m not even sure I want to escape. The secrets that he holds and the secrets that unfold may prove to be too much. Will tracking him down be worth it or will both men use the power of blood, pain, pleasure and seduction to hold me in a prison that may shatter the already fragile divide of two worlds that I have worked so hard to balance?

Goodreads

Amazon

I purchased this book at an author signing when the author told me all about this series.  I had never read anything from her and the whole paranormal, dark and erotica thing had me sold.

Holy Moly….ok yeah the warnings….you should prolly not read this book if you get a bit nervous about those because they are most definitely present in the book.  I didn’t think they were THAT bad but you may!!  I will warn ya, Alistair is a sociopath and so yeah….not a good guy..so yeah he does bad, bad, bad things to people!!

I was sold on this series when the author told me erotic and paranormal then she said dark……yup it hit all the components I was hoping for.  Alistair is a very old vampire with secrets galore.  He hires Angel, the vampire/monster killer to help her find a missing “child” of his and some things the child took.

Angel and her bestie Jane know something is not right, but Angel goes and gets into business with the guy against her better judgement.  Angel is half human and half vampire.  Her vampire side aka her monster is calling to her and to him which causes all kinds of future issue for our girl.

Alistair seems to know more about Angel and her vampire hunting family then even she knows.  He also has some connections to her past that she will do anything to learn.  However, anything means she will be mating with the devil himself to get to the bottom of the truth.

This book has so many plot twists and turns but sweet baby Jesus…the sexy time scenes were HAWT….like WOW hawt.  I mean *Eyes bugging out* Did they do THAT!!  Did they have THEM join in???  Holy hot tamale!!!!

So the end of the book left us with a giant GASP moment and I am so going to download book 2 because I am dying to know what is happening to Angel, Jane, Alistair and the rest of the crew.

I am Christine Alvarez, a mother of four spectacular hoodlums and married to my other half. Writing has been a passion my entire life and until now becoming an Author was only a dream. #REVIEW – His: MMF Bisexual Holiday Menage Romance by Chloe Lynn Ellis

Luke Anders. Possessive. Demanding. He always gets what he wants…

“A beautiful woman, blindfolded and gasping… it takes a very special kind of person to meet my needs. A person I can make utterly mine.”

Aiden Campbell. Guarded. Lonely. He’s been hurt before…

“He’s more than I ever thought I’d have. More than I deserve. He makes me feel safe and taken care of, like I’m worth belonging to someone.”

Ginny Lawson. Sexy. Single. She’s hard to satisfy…

“Oh my God, I’m actually falling for them. For both of them. Together, they’re everything I need. They’re perfect for me.”

No one should be alone at Christmas.

One man is looking for someone to make his own, two people want the kind of love that they’ve never been able to find alone, but it’s not until all three come together that they find everything they never knew they needed… each other.

HIS is a 36,000 standalone MMF bisexual ménage holiday romance with no cliffhangers. It’s intended for readers who enjoy explicit scenes of MF, MM, and MMF on the way to the kind of HEA that combines sweet with heat, and doesn’t let up until everybody is fully satisfied.

Twinsie Jo’s Review:

So I don’t usually read Christmas stories. Not sure exactly why, just never been my thing. Well, I’ve had this story on my kindle forever now and decided to read it. I read it in one sitting and couldn’t put it down.

Luke. Hello Luke. Dominant. Sexy. Alpha to the max but soft and sweet just the same. He likes to take control but makes sure his partners are 100% taken care of. He’s by no means selfish at all.

Aiden. Oh Aiden. Poor sweet Aiden. Alone for the holidays, Luke takes an interest in him. Never being with a man before, there’s always a first time for everything.

And Ginny. I really loved her character and thought she fit well with the two guys. They just worked. All three of them.

By the end of this story, my heart was filled with so much warmth, gosh, this is definitely a favourite read. If you love MMF books, you need to read this. It’s not too short. Not too long. It’s just perfect for that cold blustery night, where you want to curl up with a good book.

I will definitely be picking up more of Chloe’s books.

#REVIEW – In The Moment: Part Four (An Erotic Menage Romance Short Story) (Moments Book 4) by Rachael Orman

Keeping two people happy in a relationship is hard enough, add in another and things get even more complicated. Adam and Ace have found their balance, but Alicia isn’t sure it’s what she wants at all. She doesn’t want a normal relationship, let alone one that is so tough to make work. Plus, just when she thinks she has made up her mind, there is another surprise that make her decision that much more difficult.

Twinsie Jo’s Review:

Oh Ace. That poor broken man broke my heart so many times. And then there’s dominant Adam who you would think be the submissive one but alas, he is not. Which I’m totally fine with.

I just love this little series. So as usual, things are going really well for this threesome when suddenly, things take a drastic change. And that ending. Wow. I was not expecting it or Adam and Aces reaction. I was not impressed with them and wanted to smack them both up side the head. So kudos to you, Rachael.
