#ReleaseDay #Review – Beneath These Lies by Meghan March

BTL Amazon (2)Look, but don’t touch…she might as well wear a neon sign that says it. It just makes me want her more.

She might be above me in every way, but I still want her under me.

I’ve got no business touching her rich-girl skin, but that won’t stop me from stealing a taste. Because rules were meant to be broken—especially when the prize is so fine.

In a world where nothing is at it seems, what’s buried beneath these lies?

angies review

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

WHAT!!  EEEP!!  OMG SO I can’t tell you the who or the what the story is about but trust me….YOU MUST READ THIS!!

Meghan wants the plot, characters, etc to be a surprise for all her readers…super cool right!!  So when you read your copy (trust me a fan of this series will NEED to read it) remember to keep mum about the plot.

All I can say is that the man is uber alpha and made me love him hard core but no one can take Con’s place and I mean NO ONE.  The female is sassy and spunky so I was loving this couples dynamic.

If you love Meghan’s series then TRUST ME…..get it already!!!

MM MARCH MADNESS!!

March 15

Twinsie Talk is proud to present the 3rd Annual MM March Madness – a month to focus on the M/M, F/F, M/M/F, M/F/M authors. We love these books and want to share it with the rest of the world. Each day we will post an interview. We will also include any reviews that we have done on these books as well as links to the books.

Our hope is that you will love this genre as much as we do! <3

Today is devoted to CM Michaels

author bio

C.M Michaels grew up in a small town in northern Michigan as the youngest child of a close-knit family of seven. He met his wife, Teresa, while attending Saginaw Valley State University. Together they’ve provided a loving home for several four-legged “kids”, including Sophie, their eternally young at heart, hopelessly spoiled Spaniel. He has always enjoyed writing, and still has fond memories of reading his first book, a children’s novella, to local grade schools when he was 14. C.M. is currently working on the third book in the Sisters in Blood series along with a Fantasy romance called Kerrigan’s Race. An avid reader since discovering Jim Kjelgaard novels in early childhood, his favorite authors include Kelley Armstrong, Peter V. Brett, Richelle Mead, Rachel Caine and Laini Taylor. When he’s not writing, C.M. can be found curled up with a good book, watching movies or hitting the hiking trails with his wife. C.M. currently resides in Louisville, Kentucky.

Tell us about something about you (not included in your normal author bio) that maybe not everyone knows about you.

I am an avid outdoors-man and an ammeter wildlife photographer. My wife and I have visited Yellowstone National Park three times. During our visits we have been fortunate enough to capture great shots of wolves on the hunt, grizzly bears wrestling each other, black bears, coyotes, moose, elk, buffalo, eagles and many other wonderful creatures.

There’s been a trend in writing a series. How do you feel about series? Do you write them? Do you think they are easier or harder?

I am currently working on an Urban Fantasy and a Fantasy series. I really enjoy reading and writing series as it gives the author a chance to develop characters beyond what is possible in a stand-alone book and to have a broader plot-arc which readers can enjoy over a span of time. The characters from some of my favorites series have become so familiar that it feels like I am catching up with family when the next installment comes out. Hearing readers passionately speak about how strongly they identify with my characters has been one of the most rewarding aspects of becoming a writer.

Where do you do most of your writing?

I have a home office with an old-school PC. It provides me with a relatively quiet space so I can focus while still being close enough to the family room to not feel totally isolated from my wife. Someday I may break down and get a laptop. Imagining myself kicking back in the lush valleys of Yellowstone, watching buffalo lazily graze the day away while I work on my next creation is certainly a dream of mine 🙂

What are you currently reading? Any suggestions for your favorite books (beside your own, of course)?

I am currently reading the Weather Warden series by Rachel Caine. She is most known for her Morganville Vampire series which I really enjoyed. Richelle Mead’s Bloodlines and Vampire Academy series are two of my all-time favorites. Kelley Armstrong’s Otherworld series is wonderful, too. For Dystopian , I highly recommend Peter V. Brett’s Warded Man series and Laini Taylor’s Daughter of Smoke and Bone series.

Do you feel that this genre is growing? And what do you contribute to that growth or decline?

The Urban Fantasy genre is certainly growing. In spite of me consuming books at a frenzied pace, filling most of our basement, I am never at a shortage for new series to read. I think the reason the genre has so much appeal is that it is still set in the real world, making it easier for readers to imagine themselves as the main characters. At the same time, by introducing magic and the supernatural, the story-line isn’t as bound by the restrictions of ordinary life. More spectacular things can happen. There can be much larger surprises. If you enjoy a good romance sub-plot, rather than being limited to a wrong-side-of-the-tracks scenario, where characters overcome tired social biases to find true love, the hurdles can be much more daunting. Like having to change species, for example. The reader gets to imagine being accepted into a pack of werewolves or joining a vampire coven. The more fantastical world the reader gets to immerse themselves in the more fully they can escape the daily grind.

What is the most surprising thing you have learned about writing?

How much time is spent in the editing process. Between my own proofreads, making changes from Beta reader feedback, doing my full second draft review prior to submitting to my publisher, then the three rounds of edits with the assigned editor, over nine months is spent editing, versus about six months writing the first draft.

What are you working on now?

I am currently working on finishing the first book in my Fantasy series called Kerrigan’s race, along with the third book in my Urban Fantasy, Sisters in Blood series.

What is your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night?

Even after twenty years of marriage, Saturday night is date night with my wife. We are avid movie goers, and manage to catch most films on the big screen with a nice dinner at one of our favorite spots beforehand. It’s our chance each week to spend quality time together.

Tell us about your highest high and your lowest low in your career so far.  How has it changed you?

My highest high would be the day that I signed my first contract and became a published author. While there are certainly multiple avenues to get your work out there these days, for me, being traditionally published was my first huge goal in my writing career. My lowest low would be receiving the countless rejection letters, 145 in all, before landing the deal for my first book. In the end, the third request for a full manuscript landed me the deal. Even though I knew to expect them, reading through the pile of form rejection letters each day can still be disheartening after a while.

kellys review

Prepare for a little bit of everything. Dangerous Waters was good but Omnipotent blood really outdoes itself. What happens in a world where you are the monster? You are the hunter, predator, monster…vampire. Just when you think things can’t get any worse you find out there are other monsters that are worse than you. Brooke and her family are on the move after the chaos that ensued at the mall. When trying to keep her family safe and trying to figure out her new powers she is abducted by a demon who wants to use her body and powers to overthrow the angels and the earthen realm. From here there is a one hell of a rollercoater ride. Brooke experiences abuse (sexual, mental, and physical) while her body is being overtaken by a demon. She somehow is able to hold on to a thread of her humanity that allows her to overcome the possession. She then has to face some very hard, heart wrenching decisions in order to help the angels fight the war against the demons. The story goes to many dark places while at the same time is witty and is filled with love. This is a beautifully chaotic story that will hold you in it’s clutches.

“Great. My girlfriend is a witch. Can’t wait until we have our first fight. You’ll probably turn me into a toad.”

“Lately, being around me was like doing research on the world’s deadliest neurotoxins while blindfolded and trapped inside an unstable nuclear reactor. I was a one-girl plague.”

“Horrific squeals and shrieks from the beasts doused in her napalm echoed off the rock walls even as others cried out, creating a macabre cacophony of death that sounded like something the devil himself would conduct.”

The one spoiler I will give is there is a happily ever after. Not quite what you expect but sooooo worth the read!

angies review

I received this book from an honest review.

AHH!!  I love reading this authors books.  It doesn’t matter if it is MM, MMF, or MF, I just love the style of her writing.  I also love how she makes her characters so likeable and so vulnerable but willing to risk it for love.

This story is about broken hearted Cam who takes a vacation to help get over his last break up.  He is sitting at the bar licking his wounded heart when a hot God like man starts a conversation with him.  He ends up spending the day with this mystery man and loving every second of it.

Brandon is there on vacation with his band members when he sees this hot looking guy sitting alone at the bar.  He can tell the guy isn’t into the party environment happening around him so he engages this handsome stranger.

Brandon is stunned when Cam doesn’t recognize him and doesn’t want to let the secret outta the bag about WHO he really is.  The two have fun bonding and hanging around all day.  When the evening finally arrives and things go “further” the two men have feelings and Brandon’s secret is revealed.  Cam could care less about the “real” Brandon but more about this Brandon he has spent the day getting to know and care for.

Now the men have to face the fact that their time is long gone and was too short.  Can they make this quick connection into more than just a summer fling.  I gotta tell you I am super excited for more from these two and what happens with their story.

Today is devoted to Sloan Johnson

author bio

Sloan Johnson is a big city girl trapped in a country girl’s life. While she longs for the hustle and bustle of New York City or Las Vegas, she hasn’t yet figured out how to sit on the deck with her morning coffee, watching the deer and wild turkeys in the fields while surrounded by concrete and glass. When she was three, her parents received their first call from the principal asking them to pick her up from school. Apparently, if you aren’t enrolled, you can’t attend classes, even in Kindergarten. The next week, she was in preschool and started plotting her first story soon after. Later in life, her parents needed to do something to help their socially awkward, uncoordinated child come out of her shell and figured there was no better place than a bar on Wednesday nights. It’s a good thing they did because this is where she found her love of reading and writing. Who needs socialization when you can sit alone in your bedroom with a good book? Now, Sloan is a tattooed mom with a mohawk and two kids. She’s been kicked out of the PTA in two school districts and is no longer asked to help with fundraisers because she’s been known to lose herself with a good book and forget she has somewhere to be.

Tell us about something about you (not included in your normal author bio) that maybe not everyone knows about you.

I’ve held just about every job out there short of neurosurgeon. Before realizing that I could actually do something with my writing, I bounced from one job to the next, trying to figure out why I didn’t have a dream job that just fit.

There’s been a trend in writing a series. How do you feel about series? Do you write them? Do you think they are easier or harder?

I love writing them. I think the hardest thing about writing a series is knowing when it’s time to move on. As a reader, I almost always come to a point where I’ve enjoyed my time with a group of characters, but I’m ready for something new. As an author, I try to keep that feeling in mind.

Where do you do most of your writing?

Either on the couch or in my alcove. I can’t write in any public places because there are far too many distractions.

What are you currently reading? Any suggestions for your favorite books (beside your own, of course)?

I just finished Save of the Game by Avon Gale. I absolutely love that series! I’m also a huge fan of THIRDS by Charlie Cochet and just about anything by Renae Kaye, Keira Andrews, Leta Blake, Andrew Grey, and Christina Lee.

Do you feel that this genre is growing? And what do you contribute to that growth or decline?

I absolutely feel the genre is growing. I’d like to think that those of us who write both m/f and m/m are helping that growth because readers of one series will pick up the other and realize that m/m stories are absolutely amazing. I know that’s how I found m/m as a reader.

What is the most surprising thing you have learned about writing?

That getting the story on paper is the easiest part. Some days, it seems like pulling teeth, but it’s everything after “The End” that’s hard.

What are you working on now?

I have quite a bit in the works. This year has been very good to me and I’m looking forward to not only continuing the Homeruns series, but also introducing the Home in the Heartland series this month with Never Too Late. Dax: My life ended six years ago. No, really. I was dead on the side of the road following a gruesome motorcycle accident. From what I’ve been told, it’s only because of one stubborn man that I have another chance to make something of my life. I no longer hate him for screwing up what I thought I wanted. I want to thank him. NEED to tell him what his actions mean to me. Now, I’m headed back to the town I’ve never set foot in even though it’s a huge part of my life. I’m not thrilled about that, but the job offers haven’t exactly been flowing in. They’ll probably think I’m crazy, because there’s no way I won’t be able to look at every guy I walk past, wondering if he’s the one who saved me. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/28100264-never-too-late Michael: My entire life, I wanted to save lives. I’d earned a full-ride scholarship and had been accepted to med schools across the country. I was so close to making those dreams a reality until the night held a dying man in my arms. I’ve never been able to get the images of his lifeless body caked in mud out of my head. Even when the paramedics tried to take over trying to save him, I couldn’t let go. I never let go. Eventually, my guilt over not doing more cost me everything but my son. And now, I worry I’ll lose him if I don’t get it together. I’ve often thought that if I could find him, maybe I could get some closure and finally get my life back on track. Now he’s here and I’m more of a mess than ever. Once the truth comes out, will he keep trying to save me or will he realize that it’s too late?

What is your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night?

Curl up and watch a movie with the kids and husband.

Tell us about the highest HIGH and lowest LOW in your career so far. How has it changed you?

The highest high had to be when a reader sent me an email thanking me for making him feel normal. I won’t go into too many details, but he told me how my characters resonated with him on a very personal level and let him know that he was okay. There’s no greater feeling than that. As for the lows, I prefer to not dwell on them. The only thing that sticks in my mind is writing a book I loved and receiving a lot of backlash for it. The silver lining there is I wrote the story as I saw it in my mind, knowing it’d be a hot button for people for various reasons, but I didn’t let that stop me.

author bio

Cambria Hebert is an award winning, bestselling novelist of more than twenty books. She went to college for a bachelor’s degree, couldn’t pick a major, and ended up with a degree in cosmetology. So rest assured her characters will always have good hair. Besides writing, Cambria loves a caramel latte, staying up late, sleeping in, and watching movies. She considers math human torture and has an irrational fear of chickens (yes, chickens). You can often find her running on the treadmill (she’d rather be eating a donut), painting her toenails (because she bites her fingernails), or walking her chorkie (the real boss of the house). Cambria has written within the young adult and new adult genres, penning many paranormal and contemporary titles. Her favorite genre to read and write is romantic suspense. A few of her most recognized titles are: The Hashtag Series, Text, Torch, and Tattoo. Cambria Hebert owns and operates Cambria Hebert Books, LLC. Tell us about something about you (not included in your normal author bio) that maybe not everyone knows about you.

I’m a secret agent with the FBI. I can’t tell you anything else. Kidding. Or am I?? lol! I’m pretty boring… I bite my fingernails but I love to paint my toes. I burn candles all the time, I can be superstitious and coffee is my drug of choice.

There’s been a trend in writing a series. How do you feel about series? Do you write them? Do you think they are easier or harder?

I didn’t know writing a series was a trend, I thought series were there when Dinosaurs walked the earth! haha. If anything I think the new trend is writing stand alone novels. I do write series and I write standalones as well. I think I have more series books than standalones. I love them personally. I love both, I like diversity so I’m up for anything that gets the story told. My personal feelings on standalones are why not?! It gives the reader more time with characters they love, can introduce new plots, new twists and new characters. I think they can be more challenging because you have move the story along and still keep it interesting. You have to find new twists, new challenges for each character to go through.

Where do you do most of your writing?

I do most of my writing on my couch with my little dog right beside me! And sometimes I write at the dining room table. 🙂

What are you currently reading? Any suggestions for your favorite books (beside your own, of course)?

Honestly, I’m not reading anything right now. I don’t usually read and write at the same time. I love anything by Cameo Renae, Amber Garza, Tijan, and Jennifer Armentrout.

Do you feel that this genre is growing? And what do you contribute to that growth or decline?

I do think the genre is growing. I can’t really say I’ve contributed to the growth because I am very new to the m/m genre. My first m/m just released, so I don’t think I have any claim to helping build the genre. Honestly, I just want to write a good book that resonates with someone, and one that does justice to the subject matter. I think that by doing that it makes a difference in any genre.

What is the most surprising thing you have learned about writing?

oh my, haha. That it takes over your life? It’s true! It does. But I think the thing I learned most wasn’t really about writing itself but more about me. I learned how tenacious I can be, how determined. Its a real passion and its not easy at all. I think being in this kind of career really can show a person what they are made of.

What are you working on now?

I’m working on the second GearShark book (my second m/m) its titled #Rev!

What is your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night?

Watch a movie 🙂

Tell us about the highest HIGH and lowest LOW in your career so far. How has it changed you?

I think there are highs and lows often. Its like a roller coaster. Its changed me because it teaches me about being strong, perseverance and learning to roll with the punches.

Hearts in Florence Teaser 2

Excerpt

“Come, I want to show you my favorite section here,” he says while dragging me behind him. Now it’s as if he’s a kid in the candy store. Laughter escapes from me while I’m being pulled. I glimpse back and forth between everything as it’s covered in greenery and wonder what it would’ve been like back in the day. As we slow, I notice the Ragnaie up ahead, and I pray that he’s going to say this is his favorite spot. I really want to walk underneath it.

“You coming?” he asks, tilting his head in that direction. I offer the biggest goofy smile ever and follow along. I take in the green trees that cascade over the gravel path making a canopy above our heads. The sunlight peers through open sections of the trees above, creating a spotlight effect down toward the road as we walk along. Pierce takes my hand into his and squeezes it a little more than he has before. I close my eyes and glide through as I imagine being here with my fiancé or lover in the future. We could come here for him to kneel down and propose to me, or to celebrate our first year of being wed.

I stop and breathe in the air around us. I want to memorize this moment for as long as I can. I want to remember exactly what it smells like, the sounds of the birds chirping, and the slight creaking of the branches. I picture that it’s the sound of the branches intertwining more into each other, forming a tighter bond than before. The hopeless romantic in me wonders if that’s the sound that two lovers’ hearts make. When two people who love each other unconditionally grow old together, do their branches mend together to make a canopy of their souls?

angies-review

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

EPP The drama from book 1 jumps right back in when we start book2.  Colt and Jane are looking for answers to where the bad guys are and where the children are they stole.  When Jane is about at her last bit of hope we discover Jeremy.  The three tag team up and with the help of their favorite doctor try to figure out some new clues. When someone comes and harms the doctor, they all finally decide their choice of action.  Colt’s brother joins up to figure out and help Jane.

As the group start to travel, they soon discover more of Jane’s old friends.  I personally loved Rachel and how she dealt with Brett’s insta -ove…..She cracked me up threatening him when he give her donuts for breakfast…..I really enjoyed this rag tag team of misfits or even a bit of an X-Men vibe that this group puts off.  Learning the skills and secret abilities each had was really cool as well.  A lot of this story is the team learning to work together, building trusting relationships for the final showdown in book 3 and dealing with a traitor in their camp………BOO HISS!!!  I won’t even get start on Jane and her terrible visions that she is having L

I enjoyed Colt and Jane’s continued relationship.  They are still very connected and they can read each other very well which comes in very handy in the situation they are in.  I laughed a few timed at how everyone perceived Colt as an OLD MAN or the “get a room” type comments the other kids would make to his and Jane’s goo goo eyes.

author bio

I am a wife and mother to three kids, three dogs, and a cat. When I’m not dreaming up stories, I like to lose myself in a good book, cook or bake. I’m a girly tomboy who paints her fingernails while watching sports and yelling at the referees. I will always choose the book over the movie. I believe in happily-ever-after. Love inspires everything that I do. Music keeps me sane.

Tell us about something about you (not included in your normal author bio) that maybe not everyone knows about you.

I am nearly a complete pantser when it comes to writing a book. I write up a cast of characters when I begin a project and sometimes I will have plot points that I want to hit. Other than that, I sit down at my laptop each day and I never know what’s going to happen in the story until the characters tell me. Pssst, I don’t hear voices! I think it’s important to note that!

There’s been a trend in writing a series. How do you feel about series? Do you write them? Do you think they are easier or harder?

There is no doubt that series appear to be more popular with readers at the moment. I think it’s because they get to spend more time with the characters they’ve come to love and it allows them to have a deeper connection. If I’m honest, my all-time favorite books are series and it’s for the reasons I just gave. I am currently writing the 5th book in my Fated Hearts series. Each book is about a different couple and can be read as part of the series or as a standalone book. I am planning a series for 2017 that will follow the same couple for at least two or three books. I’m not sure if writing a series is necessarily easier, but it is my preference at this time. I do have standalone novels in mind, but I’m not sure when they will be written.

Where do you do most of your writing?

I used to write in my bedroom before I was able to stay home and write fulltime. Now, I have a designated home office. I think I’ve outgrown my desk, but I’m too superstitious to buy a new one.

What are you currently reading? Any suggestions for your favorite books (beside your own, of course)?

I am currently reading Knights to Remember by Nicole Colville. I love that lady so very much – as a writer and a friend. I have so many favorite books and authors – some I’ve just discovered and others I’ve loved since I first started reading gay romance 2014. My current obsessions are John Wiltshire and Santino Hassell. They are so very talented! I have their newest books in my Kindle library and I’m using them as a writing reward. I make myself earn the privilege to read their books.

Do you feel that this genre is growing? And what do you contribute to that growth or decline?

This genre is exploding with new readers and writers all of the time. I think it’s a beautiful thing. I contribute a lot of the growth of our genre to some of the crossover writers like Nicole Edwards. For example, I read her Walker brother series and it was my first time reading any kind of guy on guy action. I loved it and wanted more so I started looking into gay romance novels and I haven’t looked back. I just love the genre.

What is the most surprising thing you have learned about writing?

The most surprising thing I’ve learned about writing is to trust myself. It sounds easier than it is to achieve. There are so many people telling you that you have to do this or have to do that, but I’ve learned to just tell the story that’s in my heart and trust that it won’t let me down.

What are you working on now?

I am currently working on the 5th book in the Fated Hearts series. It’s titled Return to Me. It’s a second chance love story – the first I’ve attempted. I am looking at a late March or early April release.

What is your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night?

My favorite thing to do on a Saturday night is go out on a dinner date with my husband. He’s still my biggest fan after 22 years.

Tell us about the highest HIGH and lowest LOW in your career so far. How has it changed you?

The highest of highs is earning that orange best seller ribbon on Amazon. You sit and stare at the screen and ask “me?” I would also say that getting to know my favorite authors that I used to fangirl over is really awesome too. The relationship I’ve developed with my readers means the world to me. I’ve not personally had anything that I would consider a low point in my short career. I look at everything as an opportunity to learn and grow.

Tyrant (Scars of the Wraiths #2)

Synopsis:

New York Times & USA Today Best Selling Author Nashoda Rose brings a fresh twist to the paranormal romance world with ‘the Scars’.

“I don’t do nice. Period.” -Kilter (nickname: Off-Kilter)

Kilter is crass, reckless and stubborn. He has alienated everyone—just the way he likes it. Until the day he meets Rayne and emotions he buried long ago reawaken.

“I was nothing but a science experiment.” -Rayne

Rayne has been locked away and used for research ever since she was a child. The abuse caused her to withdraw into a tomb of numbness where she’s found a safe place to hide. But her safe place isn’t safe at all, it’s slowly killing her.

When Kilter rescues her and she is unexpectedly drawn to his raw honesty, Rayne must decide whether to trust him and fight for what she can’t see or drown into the depths of darkness.

For some Scars, it’s the story of healing and redemption, for others it’s the beginning of a tortured existence. Which will it be for Kilter and Rayne?

A band of fierce warriors walk in the shadows of the human world with capabilities derived from the senses: Trackers, Sounders, Healers, Tasters, Visionaries and the rare Reflectors. They are known as the ‘Scars.

Shadows of Jane (The Shadows Trilogy, #1)

synopsis

Colt Henderson is a man who lives for the moment. His past has taught him that life is unpredictable and often disappointing. A confirmed bachelor, he believes that love only exists in fairy tales.

She’s lost, scared, and can’t remember a thing about her past or her identity. She senses all is not as it should be, but without her memory, how does she know what to fear and what to trust? Because of her status as a Jane Doe, she names herself Jane and works to put her life back together. In the process she learns that she possesses unique abilities that certain people will kill for.

Fate throws Colt and Jane together, but they both have a lot to learn about forgiveness and acceptance. Colt’s determination and Jane’s remarkable gifts will send them on a journey they never expected. To survive they will need each other, but sometimes facts are scarier than fiction, and the truth is better left unknown.

angies-review

I receive his book from the author for an honest review.

I love Paranormal and UF. They are kind of a go to genre when I am looking for something to read.  I liked this story because we, the reader, don’t really know what Jane is.  Jane’s abilities are told to us slowly throughout the novel but we don’t know WHAT she is.

Colt is a regular guy hanging at this cabin when Jane stumbles in and passes out.  He takes her to the hospital and is instantly drawn to this red headed beauty.  He doesn’t know anything about her but he can’t stay away.

Jane, named for being a Jane Doe, is trying to figure out her new world.  She only knows Colt and is drawn to him and the peace she feels with him but does he feel the same?    The couple begin to navigate their emotional attachments while also trying to protect Jane’s abilities from the small town gossip. When Jane’s dad shows up, Colt and Jane have to figure out what to do and where to go.

What I really liked about Colt was his “gentleman” manners.  He knows he is a player and doesn’t want to hurt Jane but when she is full steam ahead, so is he.  I also love how he calls her on her running.  She says it’s for the best but he is willing to face the bad side of her abilities where she is too afraid of what it may do to him.  He is the perfect Alpha looking to protect his love.  Jane is a great innocent woman who wants to help everyone but tends to hurt the ones she loves and who loves her with trying to be unselfish.

I am really looking forward to reading book 2 because I want to know more about Jane and her “abilities”.
