Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.

Hi!! I am married to the most amazing man. You will see him running around behind the scenes event day rocking his #WOTRfamily shirt. He vetoed his shirt saying trophy husband. SO RUDE. We have a daughter in college who is also running behind the scenes at the event. She is the one in the raffle rooming all day long manning the tables. Slave labor is ok if its family right???

We also have 4 insane and large dogs plus one heck of a monster cat. She runs the house no joke.

I am a parent educator by day and a blogger by night. I have been in the education field since 1996. I recently left teaching Pre-K Special Education to start doing Home Visiting for low income/teen moms to help with an early intervention type learning. I love it and love the impact I make with families.

When I met Jill and she mentioned starting an event in the area I jumped. I am so proud of everything we have done these past 7 years. This  yearly event is pure dedication from us hosts, the authors, the sponsors and the readers. We love how much you all have embraced what we do and can’t thank you enough for everything from helping pitch in the event weekend, the raffle basket donations, the word of mouth to others about how phenomenal our event is and so much more. We are blessed when we say we have an Family because we fully believe in it.

How long have you been blogging?

I started officially blogging when TwinsieTalk started on October 14, 2014. Previously I was on street teams for authors and did ARC reviews only. I am blown away we have been around for 10 years!!

What are your favorite genres?

Paranormal by far is my favorite but I love a good MC too. Reverse harems have snuck into my heart the last few years as well. However, give me a love triangle and I am SOLD!!!

Who are some of your favorite authors?

JR Ward, Teresa Gableman, Mary Martel, H. D’Agostino, Michel Prince, Jade C. Jamison, Tricia Andersen are pretty much auto buys for me. I recently devoured a series by Tarina Deaton and I am having withdrawals from her alpha men. I also read and fell in love with a new author SJ Chaynie whose MC debut was amazing!!!

Do you prefer to read standalones or series?
Novellas or long books?

I appreciate a series. I am dedicated to a few and I wont be stopping with them anytime soon. There are times when I grab a standalone just for the one and done aspect. Novellas are my jam when I have a couple hours and want a quick HEA. I guess my answer is I love them all but it depends on what I want to read at the time and how much time do I have.

On a typical day, how much time do you spend reading?

I am all about audio during the week so I can get a good 3 hours in each day. Physical reading is a weekend thing and I get a book or two done if I have the time to spare.

Do you have a favorite character written? If so, who? And what makes them so special.

So purely because its hysterical. My favorite character written was by Kylie Scott.  She name a character after me in Mal’s book in the Stage Dive Series (Play).  “Angie” was the skank Mal texted by mistake instead of Anne his fake fiancée.

Do you have anything you want to share that didn’t fit on one of these questions?

I just want to thank everyone who has stood behind Writers on the River.  It blows my mind how big this has gotten.  Each year I stand at one point and almost cry at what we have accomplished again.  When the totals for donation are announced, I almost pinch myself that we have done this.  So Thank you for all you do to help us help the ladies at Thistle Farms.

Leo: Grimalkin Needs Brides #3 (Intergalactic Dating Agency)

A planet with more cats than people…
Grimalkin needs brides.

Leo has been dreaming of getting married his entire life and having someone he can love in spite of everything that’s gone wrong. He was never supposed to be a doctor. His plan had been to become a warrior or a fighter, but when he lost his tail in a freak accident, he knew he needed to choose a career path where he could hide. Being a doctor means he gets to focus on everyone else – no one looks twice at him.

Tamara has been worried about her friends ever since they left Earth. Holly and Amena were both supposed to contact her, but they didn’t. Now it’s up to Tamara to make her way to Grimalkin and find out what’s happened to her best friends. She lost her leg years ago, so she knows she’s not going to be eligible for the bridal exchange, but there are other ways of getting to Grimalkin.

When Tamara is caught stowing away on a bridal transport to Grimalkin, she’s given an impossible choice.

Then she sees Leo, and she realizes that all bets are off.

She wants him.

Like, really wants him.

But is Leo ready to love a human like Tamara?

And is she willing to open her heart to the one person who could crush it?

Review by Twinsie Angie

I was given this book by the author for an honest review.

STAHP!!!  Each of the brothers in this series I swore was my favorite but Leo might be my guy…..until

Apollo!!  LOL

Leo and Tamara are a perfect pair with their imperfections.  They both are so insecure but with the other they are complete.

Leo is finally happy to get matched and married but the wedding day his mate is stolen away by Apollo, his cousin.  Leo is ok because he didn’t feel the connection with Kate.  The match maker is freaking out until she remembered a stowaway was on the ship.  She tossed Tamara out the door and BOOM Leo was in love.

Tamara is freaking out her 2 besties are missing.  They left to get married, and she hasn’t heard from them since.  She needs t find out what happened to her besties. When the match maker tosses her out the door, she agrees but only so she can find her friends.  She is stunned at how amazing Leo is.

When the two communicate their issues to the other…..I fell so in love with Leo.  He is just about perfect even if he isn’t perfect in his eyes.

Seeing the best friends all reconnect and the brothers all settled was a great ending until Apollo appears and drops his news!!  I cant wait for more!!

When you are writing a book, which is harder? The first book in the series or the others after it?

First book, because with the rest you have to remember what you wrote before. And I typically find sex scenes the hardest to write.

When writing a series how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?

Making sure the characters have unique personalities or quirks

Writing can be an emotionally draining and stressful pursuit. Any tips for aspiring writers?

Honestly, just type it out.

On a typical day, how much time do you spend writing?

It’s been a while with some life changes for me to feel the bug.

Do you have a favorite character that you have written? If so, who? And what makes them so special.

I actually like all my characters.

If any of your books were to be made into a movie, who are the celebrities that would star in it? What book and who?

I’d love to see my Elementals series on HBO. I’d like to see them use new actors.

What is your definition of success?

Success is when you hold a copy of the paperback in your hand.

Do you have anything you want to share that didn’t fit on one of these questions?

I’d love to see everyone at Writers On The River in July!!
